Yes!

I'm currently in the best shape of my life and I watch A LOT of anime. Bunches of anime (soooo many bunches) haha!

I don't know why I enjoyed this question. Maybe because it was fitness and anime in the same sentence. Sweet.
Anyway, my list doesn't show nearly all the anime I watch (I probably watched an equal amount to what I have in my list but I've just forgotten about it) yet at the same time being fit is sort of a job requirement (and a hobby) so I've no problem doing both.

Fitness is fun! Anime is fun!

i'm 30-35 pounds heavier since i started watching anime regularly a couple years ago. my doctor asks me what's happening but i'm too embarassed to tell about my anime habit. he says whatever i'm doing if i keep it up i won't be able to even find my dick by the time i hit 30.

Absolutely. Anime actually heavily motivates me in my workouts (mostly my 10/10s + Naruto). I switch out between Insanity at home & a fitness program at my YMCA. I've lost 40 pounds since May plus built considerable muscle. I'm still losing a good 2-3 pounds per week when I completely cut out all junk food, which is my biggest obstacle at the moment.

i'd say i've gotten lazier ever since cross country season is over. although anime/manga takes away your time, it's not a significant enough difference to affect your fitness. exercise is what matters. anime/manga is just another type of entertainment. it's how you manage your time so that you can actually move your body

Funny you should bring this topic up really because I was having a conversation with my friend the other day and she said the exact same thing.
'How can you be so fit if you only just watch anime' it was along those lines. I was asked if I go to the gym and I said no.
I can only assume it's because of my job because most days I work, then go home, shower, eat and watch anime or surf the net all night.

I literally eat so much shit too.

So the answer to your question for me personally, yes. Yes you can.

Oh I'm 183cm and 63kg.

Well, yes. I spend a decent amount time watching anime, but I do some heavy workout every 2 days. It all comes down to your discipline.

I'm not unfit, I play 3 sports since I am in High School, Hockey, Football, Lacrosse

But once I'm out, unless I get picked up from some junior hockey team or something like that I'm probably going to stop playing and not do anything. Which would be bad because I have some bad habits, so we will see what happens in the future.

I'm 177cm and weigh 63 kg which is pretty good for a lady such as myself, I think.

And hell yeah you can! I work out 3 times a week at least, just get into a gym's wifi and watch it on your phone/tablet while you work out!

Er yeah theres no need to be an overweight neck beard stereotype. I watch the occasional series and marathon like a person possessed but I also work out in the mornings and afternoons.

But seriously anime can be bad for your health. I have to keep away from watching it because I get obsessed and spend many nights watching episode after episode till 6am and that can lead to been unhealthy so you gotta balance a work out with anime.

Over this summer I would no shit watch Hajime No Ippo to pump me up before runs and gym sessions. It wasn't a matter of watching anime and being fit, it was watching anime to help me be fit.

That's the difference between the doers and the dreamers.
