Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

My goodness, this episode was exceptionally good especially with its emotional tone. I absolutely loved the moment when Asahi shouted 'SUGA!' That scene gave me the chills, it was so good. Such a touching moment and the music really intensified that feeling. God, I kinda felt a little teary-eyed, I don't even know why. xD Nishinoya truly respects Asahi and it's great that he's playing well again. Amazing episode, can't wait to see more of Asahi and Nishinoya. :)

That was great, but I will say that it was a little bit too emotional for a volleyball game. I liked it, but at the same time I was thinking that they put a little bit too much emphasis on it! That spike at the end was strong as hell.

Enjoying this series a lot so far.

Liked the little flashback to see how the broom broke lol. I loved the development here - Asahi and Noya are awesome. :D And Suga finally got his time to shine!! Kind of a slow paced ep but I loved how much they built on the characters. And I LOVE Ukai as coach.

That was a pretty awesome spike but this series so far feels like its spending a little too much time trying to force set up for different characters it's feeling tedious.

I cant stand it when a whole conversation happens when the ball is in the air. Before this is over, I want to see at least one uninterrupted gameplay scene that (1) is in real time, and (2) at a distanced perspective where you can see all the players. I dont mind when theres a short, 3 second slo-mo cutscene, but I hate waiting 2 minutes for an air ball.

Although the atmosphere smelled of souls shonen, the construction of the narrative seemed good, the psyche of the characters are well detailed and you can also understand the whys behind many choices. Plot that moves forward, happy. Technically it is very good.

I swear im not crying it's just raining on my face.

The first half was a bit of a drag and the drama was cheesy as hell but honestly? I "Don't mind, don't mind". Oh and Sugawara is a formidable guy and a very brave person.

Asahi is probably one of my favorite characters in this entire show, just because of him being the ace and his character development. Dude is a monster

I have to suspect a large amount of emotional reaction this episode and the last few garnered was from the music and art. The reason I suspected that was because I imagined the same scene happening in an anime from the 70's or 80's. It could have held the same effect as this episode did, but I think it couldn't have been done through two episodes like this. That said, it's not carried by them. The character was introduced, all the foreshadowing and development queue's were set and they all clicked. This is more so a compliment in how the superficial qualities of this made a touching but small moment bring me to the brink of tears. I knew it wasn't from me caring about Asahi or the somewhat rushed development of him that hit me that hard.

To not speak so harshly, this was a cute little character development suited for a big sweet heart like Asahi. We had him see in many ways how its a team game and how everyone plays a role- that the blame isn't on him for losing that game that they'll totally get a rematch against in the future. We saw him get reminded by Hinata's genuine love for the sport that he wants to spike! All of it came together in a brief and somewhat rushed moment of beauty, I think if it stretched it out one episode longer and let us get to know Asahi it would have been better though.

SUGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
ONE MORE

That part got me good.

I also like how we got to understand two pieces of foreshadowing from before. We now understanding Noya got suspended for yelling in the hall and breaking the vase or so I think, and we know that the broken broom we once saw was broken by Asahi after the match, like their temporary falling out broke their teamwork.

Just for the record, I don't see the ball being in the air for minutes as a problem. It was as though time froze and we saw everyone's thoughts before Asahi went in and took back his spirit with the second spike!

Damn, this was some powerful Characterization in this episode alone!

“SUGA!!!” and then seeing those expressions right after followed by the demonstration of the destructive power, oh boy now we’re talking! First episode felt a little slow but it’s all worth it ultimately! Nishinoya-senpai is such an angel though and it was nice seeing the King supportive of Asahi-senpai too! Lol @ the manager (and great to see HiroKami as always:) trying to show off in front of the coach though, and mad props to him for being so persistent and diligent. Got to say, interesting choice of name(s) for the “Neko” and “cat v crow, battle of the garbage” though xD.

Anyways, seems as though our main character’s got a steep road ahead of him, can’t wait to see how that goes!

This was so emotional omg ;_; I'm so happy Asahi managed to get through that mental block and allow himself to enjoy volleyball again. Asahi, Nishinoya and Suga were too pure in this episode.

the funniest moment was when Tanaka, Tsukki and Kageyama had to block Asahi's spike even if they rooted for him, and Tanaka was crying in the meantime LOL

Finally, we know Nishinoya's reason for his suspension. It is one of the questions I had and they were finally answered. Asahi's drama was resolved satisfactorily, I'm glad for it.

The episode ended in a good way. I will continue later.
