| What's with the random doll stills? o.O Blergh, Ali project x__X To be honest, every single one of their songs sounds the same to me, and has no real flow at all. Dislike. The use of sound throughout the episode was great though, really helped create the mood. I keep having flashbacks to Higurashi however, with the rural setting, and the new transfer student and a class mystery...I feel like I've seen it all, if not in Higurashi, then in Ookamikakushi (Ryukishi07's as well). Good thing that the main character looks NOTHING like Keiichi. Oh...wait. :P All in all, a pretty nice start, nothing groundbreaking, but nothing horrible either. |

| This episode wasn't really that scary...though I enjoyed it very much. The similarities between Kouichi Sakakibara and Seito Sakakibara are too close for me to ignore though. |

| Creepy classroom full of creepy motherfuckers. The creepy mystery atmosphere was well setup and the episode was decent enough. Whether this show will be good or terrible it will depend on how it goes from now on since it can go ether way as it is. Interesting was how doll like everyone looked when he first introduced himself to the class and then while they where talking when he asked about the girl that visited him in the hospital the glass guy made a signal to the other guy. Also we have a student with a serious heart problem and a girl appearing with an injured leg. The Mei girl seems to obviously be the girl they mentioned at the start of the story and seems like the others don't even see her. On top of that we have the dialog about his name associated with death, the classroom too and not doing anything with other classrooms. We got a lot of little pieces so lets see where this is going. |

| Subtle. Really nice pacing in this one. At times slow, but there's so much little details to take in! *O* My new favorite show for 2012 seems to have appeared! |

| I liked first episode, i can't say it is scary but it is strange and it crept me out a little. Very interesting, little slow start, but I am sure there is a deeper plot, at least that can be concluded from the first episode. Does any1 know when is second episode coming out? |

| It was a not bad first episode, but it didn't really scare me or keep me on the edge of the seat or anything. 7/10 Also, did anyone notice the beginning, where they say she was popular up to the 7th grade, then skipped 8th and went directly to her death, in 9th grade? Maybe I'm looking too in to this, but I think that has significance later on or something. |

| Whoa, this was awesome! Now hoping this isn't a 12 episode show like it is set in MAL, but a ~24 eps long show. I need more fantastic P.A. Works. Edit: Just a thought. Maybe there was something with Izumi touching Kouichi when shaking hands after all, she got sick afterwards. Also just noticed in the opening credits that Itou Noizi did the character designs, I really love her works. |

| That was freaky as hell! I though ''XxxHoLiC'' and ''Shiki'' were creepy. This just set a new standard to the ''holy crap I'm gonna crap myself'' phrase. I can't believe how freaky that was. Everything about that Yomikawa High is just weird as hell. I can't wait to find an answer to everyone being all weird and stuff. Definitely looking forward to the next! |
| Great. Finally it's here. Love Reiko. She becomes 10x sexier without her glasses. Really glad PA Works worked on this. Really love the animation and art. I dislike the chosen voice actors for Sakuragi and Izumi. Didn't fit their characters really well. Really loved the way they directed that elevator/basement scene. "What's your name?" *Long Pause* "Mei." *Music continues.* Epic. Ms. Mikami is beautiful. Wait, it's not just her...almost every girl I've seen in this episode looked pretty. The boys were drawn bishounen-ish too. Damn. Holy fucking shit. I got scared the fuck out when Sakuragi was hit with the "Where's Misaki" line. Fucking Yandere crazy look on her. She was tweaking the fuck out as well. I'm officially scared. I don't know if anyone has tried to figure out whether this is true or not but...when Mei says Sakikabara's name outloud while breaking it down to each syllable, perhaps it's best to figure out what each of the kanji in his name mean by itself instead of in a compound/name. Maybe there were deeper meanings, not just her being creepy and saying his name with exaggeration. OP was creepy. Not my cup of tea but production-wise it was good. ED sounded like there's a lot of despair. Loved the animation for the ED as well. |

When translating it from Chinese to English only sakaki comes out either, hence I think it's a character only used in Japanese names (and possible town names too, but that's not relevant in this case). 原 (Hara) means something like original, primitive, like how things were in the past I guess. So I guess it means something like the 'original sakaki tree' or something like that. It's difficult to think of it as anything related to this show actually. I think however, that the name Sakakibara was the name of someone in the past and maybe even the guy who started the whole "Misaki is alive! She's in her seat." 26 years ago.And in the most extreme case it's family of his since it's a family name after all and his grandparents etc. have lived there. It could have something to do with the 2nd kanji in his name, original, too. But after all this is just some speculation and I possibly could be wrong about certain parts too because I'm just using google translate and thinking logical and haven't studied Japanese at all. |
| What a creepy episode, yet it went by pretty fast. I find it really strange that everyone around the main character were all...emotionless, until Mei hints him about what his name is. Hard to say this can grab my attention, but I'll watch a few more to see where this could end up. |

| AMAZING SHOW. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. SCARED OUT OF MY WITS. I love horrors, but I'm bad at handling them. But that's what makes it the most fun, even though I'll be trembling for a few days xD. 5/5 |

| I am really pleasantly surprised. Although they use the archetype of a transferring student, smaller town, etc. I love the atmosphere and music. Art is great too. So I'll give it a shot. P.S. Mei Misaki totally reminded me of Chihiro Shindo from Ef: A Tale of Memories with her eyepatch and all. |
| Why does the main character look like Maebara Keiichi from Higurashi, and why does it always have to be a kid who moves from Tokyo/city to some creepy town.... Looks interesting so far, I hope it doesn't fall under. |

| disappointed, why. cause i remember reading the manga of this, and totally forgot about it until the anime came out and now i decided to watch this and man... the character designs changed from the manga version.. i really liked the character designs of the manga, especially the aunt i believe and the nurse, they look waaay better, and the aunt in this episode seriously seems like a high school student.. i haven't even finished the manga yet lol.. so now im contemplating on whether i should finish the manga or finish the anime first, hmmmmm.. i heard both versions are similar but different in details, wish they both stuck to the original zzz edit: hahaha.. so i decided to read the manga first since it's much faster and i like how the art looks better compared to the anime.. and wow i just finished it damn.. i learned a pretty good lesson, don't read a manga that has an important mystery when ur planning to watch the anime cause it's a total spoil lol.. but i think i'll probably still watch the anime.. or.. just skip to episode 12 lol..... |
