| Definitely a tamed episode.... It was decent... not the best, not my cup of coffee but definitely a good one... Why? Well because it is simple the one before the last one!!! XD Adn the chat between Gilgamesh and Saber was good... I loved what Gilgamesh actually said.... Yes he is twisted and evil and all... but he is actually an egocentric prick... His worst trait imo.... He still wants Saber although she has clearly stated she doesn't want anything to do with him.... I hate that annoying guy... Well at least things dun look that bad Yes Shirou was caught by the evil Curse of the Holy Grail, but I feel that he isn't dead.... not because Saber has said so... but because I feel he still has the Scabbard of Excalibur within him... or at least a part of it.... So then... how could you explain that Saber hasn't used it so far against Gilgamesh.... Yesh I know it doesn't have ay offensive properties, but in my POV she should have used it by now... just to keep herself on her feet... There is something wrong in these fights.... | Ah finally, Shirou's famous line shows up. I was wondering when that was gonna happen. Surprisingly, given the context, it does make perfect sense ^^ It sucks that Saber vs. Gilgamesh only had like 1 or 2 nicely animated portions--on top of that it has WAY too much talking from Gilgamesh. This guy is one annoying, twisted fuck. Saber better kick his ass in the most awesome way possible. As of right now Archer vs. Berserker is still the best fight in the show. I really hope Rin doesn't die and that a proper conclusion is given regarding Shirou and Saber. But something tells me that the ending is gonna be BS -__- |

| Once again, I hate Deen for fucking up one of my favorite battles in the VN. Seriously, the battle between Saber and Gilgamesh is freaking sweet in the source material. Let's see how they handle the end of the battle. It won't be well done, i'm sure. |

| I really hope Rin isnt dead :'( !!!!!! I wonder how Ilya will make it out of this. Shiro and Saber seem to be at a complete disadvantage but hey they are the main characters they obviously are going to become victorious. Probably by some non probable way but who knows. I really hate how the creators made Gilgamesh so overpowered. I hate when people make the bad guy unbelievably godlike, its not fair nor is it realistic for normal humans or other lower class people to be able to defeat him. Whatever happens im excited to see how this series will end. One last episode! |

In the Geneon Entertainment/Funimation Entertainment version it's "If people are badly injured, they die," and I think there's only a slight chance they they altered the straight translation. On an unrelated note, the blood formations have almost been a work of art in this series. |

But Shirou did die before and lived although unrelated to Avalon.And injuries like the one from Berserker are instant kill for the Servant-like Shirou(Heaven's Feel spoiler),just imagine what it is for the normal one, so thank God for Avalon.It isnt bad fansubbing. |
| First of all I trimmed the quote I took from the DVD as it wasn't equivalent to the fansub one. Okay ssjokg, you made a good point. I didn't think about the [grand voice] POOWWEERRSS OOOOF AAAAAVVAAALLOONNN...AVALON! [/grandvoice][/professional wrestling reference]. I think the problem I--along with many other people--have with the line is that Shirou comes across as stupid with saying that line and that isn't the case, it's just how the fansubbers have portrayed him. The line "People die when they are killed," actually makes more sense than "If people are badly injured, they die." as there are many cases where badly injured people live so the translator has overgeneralised there. However nothing else appears with the former line onscreen and so viewers will naturally latch on to it and question it. I think what the fansubbers should have done is connect the next sentence, "That's how it should be," to it (to form "People die when they are killed, that's how it should be") and so it clarifies--more immediately--what Shirou is thinking. The following has been edited as ssjokg showed me in his reply below that my sloppy writing was leading to misunderstandings: I know this is a petty issue but Shirou gets a lot of undeserved hate. Gilgamesh is the real discriminatory one for example. |

| This bastard injured Tsunderin and abducted Lolisviel. Unforgivable. So, Mother Saber handles Gigadouche and Shirou goes after Komine. The upcoming fights seem to be promising. Hopefully, Mother Saber and Shirou can stop the holy grail without causing another catastrophe. |

| Penultimate episode and I have not the slightest idea about the villain's goal/motivations. Talking about Father Kotomine here. Gilgamesh is no problem, being as plain as can be (with that and his design, I can't understand how he can be perceived as cool). @CodeBlazeFate Is this gloomy christian supposed to be nothing more than a mad man? I know this isn't some deep work but to go through a story who happens only "just because" is rather disappointing. What a bad joke if this is the case. The dying Tôsaka scene was a real joke. If it wasn't supposed to be sad, then it's a success (between the actions and some lines). What was this thing about Arturia being "send back to her time"?? They kept saying that the Servants were deceased people from the past or present days. Shouldn't she stay "dead" until the next summoning? 2/5, 3 if I just misunderstood the poor priest. Is this "People die if they are killed" some inside joke? Because the closest thing I met in this episode was something along those lines: when people are severely injured/hurt, they die" (unlike him til now). |
