Chika's confession definitely made this episode more awkward for both herself and Kazuhiko. However, I think Chika is way too sensible, compared to the other cast members.

Not too much has changed from Anna's side. It seems this episode deals with personal feelings of certain characters, especially Chika.

That guy has it really tough lol. I mean he was considerate enough to not outrightly reject Komari but hey, miss osananajimi got mad over his “considerate” behaviour, because yeah.. anyone would if they see their guy getting stolen by someone. Though yeah, in the midst of all the eavesdropping and silly teasings, I kind of really felt for Komari there. Takes something to face that same person again who rejected you half-a-day ago, like nothing happened(´;︵;`)

Rejected club welcomes her nonetheless. By the way, the second half with that same old drama-esque misunderstanding, I mean I don’t know how to say this, but yeah, “asking to reduce interactions just because NPCs have started noticing” will never stop being one of those things I actually really don’t like in these romcoms. I’m glad though, it concluded fairly easily, and quite honestly in a way, “this series does things”.

>Be my friend
>Sorry, can’t be that way. Can be just friends
Lol.

Hey, there are still positives within this seemingly sad situation, you see now that our girl got rejected not rejected by her crush, there is nothing else that prevents her from getting rejected again, but this time by our MC :)

I would presume this is all of them right, the trio of girls who got their time on screen, got rejected .. and then joined the heroine bargain bin club. Its three of them as of now, i think that's enough.

Or are we running with the joke all the way xD

Wouldn't really be a romcom without that misunderstanding now would it? Difference with this series and the others though, this one kept it short and to the point and wrapped it up in less than 12 minutes without it feeling rushed. For most romcoms, this would be the main focus for half the season lol.

Thanks to this absolute idiot and selfish prick named Sosuke, we were able to wrap this up with a nice bow on top. The problem with Sosuke is that if he really wanted to make Yanami happy, he should have just rejected her honestly and completely. Instead, he edged around it by saying he wants her to be happy, which is almost like saying he doesn't like her lol. Direct confrontation and a straightforward answer are the best ways to achieve proper closure. Voice and character acting in that entire scene was mesmerizing btw.

With that, we end off Volume one with Nukumizu himself joining the Losing Heroine club xD

Gonna miss hearing this ED, but knowing that Lemon's doing the next one make me excited for next week to see her new ED.

Weekly dose of my baby Anna and the anime of the season 😋. This was the second best episode for sure. Very well written and some tender emotional moments especially in the second half.

I wanna give the biggest hug to Komari, she’s such a sweetheart. Don’t worry you’ll find your person one day. Shinsuke and Koto were always gonna be the winning couple. Honestly happy for the childhood friend getting the W. Shintaro learnt the hard way it’s not what you say, but how you say it. All’s well that ends well but no idea why he’d go with the confession he went with on Christmas lmao. Luckily Koto waited for him all this time.

Komari and Koto crying together in club and promising to continue as normal was good too. It’s so nice seeing a romcom where characters actually communicate and prevent the usual drama that would occur

The whole misunderstanding with Nukumizu and Anna was typical romcom and totally should’ve never happened. I mean just because people are gossiping who cares. They’re not in your friend group/relationship so it’s irrelevant. The scene where Anna waves to him in class and he just straight up ignores her made me so mad 😭 But I’m glad it got resolved quickly with everyone, including Sosuske, airing their feelings out at the end.

He should’ve just come out and straight up rejected Anna rather than the “I want you to be happy stuff” but that’s all in the past now. Now Anna can finally on, and Nukumizu gained a lot of cool points in her eyes for sticking up for her. Win-win for everyone

You can’t friend zone me, I friend zone myself! Nukumizu might be the first person to get rejected before even confessing lmao. He and Anna make a great friendship duo and honestly I’m ok seeing them just be friends and grow up alongside each other for a while before anything romantic happens. Awesome episode and I can’t wait to see what happens during summer vacation

Welp, a double whammy for Shintaro: holding on Chika's confession, and not being clear with Koto with their childhood friend status.

It's got so bad to the point that Koto had to leave in a hurry, and Shintaro had to chase her down thanks to Anna, thereby making amends for each other. It's a scene that Nukumizu wants to leave the both of them alone, though Anna teased him quite a bit, with Lemon helping Chika resolve her feelings, and the latter being unable to do anything but cry her heart out. And as the Literature Club, they can only friendzone each other as the awkwardness also gets resolved in the same manner. But just as Nukumizu gets all calm, hearing his girl classmates criticize him that Anna is aiming for him, being someone with no taste whatsoever, he clears her debt out as a way to stop the rumours circulating between them both.

Being ignored is hard enough for Nukumizu, Anna literally dumped him. Not even Lemon nor Chika's words are able to console him, and Sosuke having a word with Nukumizu to support him going out with Anna, it's still the misunderstanding that Anna really has Sosuke in her heart, but that Nukumizu standing up for her is a bro moment, even if she is fine with Sosuke dating Karen because he fancies her more than said girl.

The Losing Heroines gang conversing with Nukumizu for the upcoming Summer vacation, and the latter makes the point that he and Anna...are only growing to become friends. Though what the future will bring for them, only time will tell between fellow dumpees.

With this episode, Volume 1 of the LN is done! Volume 2 will be even more crazier...

Felt like a lot was happening this episode and the timing felt a bit forced with the whole confrontation with Sosuke-Anna-Nukumizu there but the actual scene I did like here a lot more than expected. Some of the drama with Anna and Nukumizu in general and their splitting off was awkwardly placed but at least that scene with those three and Anna getting to air out her feelings towards Sosuke and how he should respect how she feels since she still is in love with him right now and who knows when that will change and eventually be directed towards someone else, rather than have her be pushed to someone else to make him feel happier that she moved to them for his sake in a way. The ending was nice too with Anna and Nukumizu reaffirming their friendship beyond just the whole debt-lunch relationship they built and it was in a way that worked with the two of them with the whole misunderstanding Anna had compared to what Nukumizu was asking for. Beyond that whole ordeal, there was the start of the episode with Koto getting together with Shintaro after their own misunderstandings were cleared and sorted out and Komari rejected (although she did have a slight chance there). Loads of drama happening in different directions and while some of it felt a bit forced timing-wise, can still say that this was a decent episode with a good ending too. Visually, direction and voice acting-wise, a home run again this episode.

Hopefully this show can get more interesting soon though now that the relationships are more clearly defined and we know more about these rejected heroines and how they got there with these episodes. I'm still not sure if this story has the longevity to keep things fresh, but I'll see how that pans out within the next few weeks.

Ok childhood friend finally getting a W. Komari lost the battle before it even began but she got him to seriously consider and then turn her down so it's not that bad. Better than the other two I feel. The homewreckers still winning though. Still 2-1 score wise. I'm really glad Koto won. I think a bit of pain could've been avoided if the club president just didn't confess so badly on Christmas. Like what even was that?

Nukumizu and Anna officially friends now but does he have to go through this 2 more times to be friends with the other two as well? I hope not. Anyways at least Nuku has friend/s so Kaju will be happy. Also is Nuku part of the losing heroine squad now too? Idk they're all losing heroines.

Not much of lemon this episode though. Still her finding a beetle in the middle for night to cheer another losing heroine up was so wholesome. I need a lemon in my life.

Also surprised to see Sosuke again I honestly thought he would just fade out of the story ngl. I wonder if in the future we'll see him and Karen flirting or something in the background.

The episode title too omg

A confession, and the result? Another losing heroine...

It's honestly quite ironic that the most awkward girl in the group, Komari, was brave enough to confess her feelings when some of the other characters couldn't, but I'm glad that all the feelings from the characters were aired out. Goes to show how nicely things can turn out when people communicate what they're feeling clearly. It was great how the misunderstandings didn't get dragged out, though I will say some of the drama was a tad forced when it comes down to the pacing and the amount of the story covered to finish up Volume 1. Now, the relationships are more or less established, and I wonder how things will go now as we head into Volume 2 and beyond.

So, the third heroine didn't get dumped in the same spectacular fashion as the two others even though she did get 'dumped' eventually, but it did actually felt like a pretty realistic situation with the misunderstanding and all.

Now then, the true focus of this episode was the relationship between the mc and Anna, the first heroine.
It is clear at the beginning of the episode that they've gotten very close and comfortable with each other, we even see them blushing several times when they interact.
The mc screws up a bit later because he doesn't know how to deal with the rumors going around about him and Anna, which results in him hurting her feelings.
But when confronted to her first love, it is clear he still cares about her very much, and that he's on her side no matter what.

The ending is a bit ambiguous because, while they make official their friendship, it feels as if there is already something more between them, despite Anna's 'rejection' of his 'confession'.
Will it develop further? Will we see the other two girls also get closer to our mc? Time will tell, but this episode made it seem as if Anna has a clear headstart for now.

A pretty cute and interesting episode overall.
Also, nice to see the girls hanging around him more and more, it feels as if he gained some really good friends.

I saw Chika's rejection from a mile away, that's like the whole plot of the anime lol.
Apart from that, I really liked that they made clear Anna and Nukumizu relationship. I don't think any of the girls will "win" at the end, the anime is all about getting over their rejections and how they continue forward so in the end I hope everyone finds their own special relationship

This moment with Yanami and Nukumizu made me fall in love with the manga/ln, and the anime upholds the absolute peak status of this scene. Was hoping for manga Yanami to show up though.

Besides that, Komari's VA has really elevated her character for me, she might actually be my favorite girl now.
I have read 2 perfect chapters of manga; They are Usogui Chapter 203 and Onani Master Kurosawa Chapter 23.

Oshi no Ko S2 exists, and yet I think this is the best show of the season and I'm so glad I picked it.

Congrats Nukumizu for being dumped by Anna, although from ep2 onwards it has always felt that the story has been going with Lemon as the goal.

That was confession of the year contender right there lol and he even thought she turned him down. Rest of the episode was somewhat bittersweet but with all three of the girls now rejected our mc's story is finally starting. The title at the end cracked me up though.

Btw after what happened with Anna, Nukumizu and Sousuke this episode, imagine Anna falling for Nukumizu only for him to turn her down. The absolute misery for her.

I kind of didn’t like this episode, it was a bit too heavy on the drama without any of the fun stuff from the first three episodes. It wasn’t terrible, but I just missed the more light hearted tone. Hopefully next week it will go back to being a bit more fun. I kind of wish they’d clarified if it really was Kaju who gave them those red bean rice balls, but maybe it’s better as a bit of a mystery.

I really hated the vice club president in this episode when she said "why didn't you just reject hher" when her position wasn't his girlfriend, even after that she slapped him because the guy rejected his suggestion? What a red flag girl. I also remember Lemon's rival in episode 2 who had absolutely no ethics where she immediately barged into the medical room and immediately spoke to Lemon Crush without paying attention to her surroundings, I mean why didn't she wait outside the medical room if she was just talking about an invitation to take lessons together and let that guy have some time to talk with his friends. Also remember Yanami's "best friend" who had absolutely no idea about Yanami's feelings, she even tried to run away abroad when she was rejected. It seems that only red flag girls win in this anime

Damn Komari, after she got expectedly rejected (expectedly because of this series' title) she straight up told Nukumizu that he deserved "losing" Anna because of what he did and I actually agreed with her because if Anna's fine with not caring what other people think then why should he? Anyway, Nukumizu made up for that blunder by sticking up for her after her ex got all nosy.

At the end I actually thought that for a minute he was going to confess to her but instead it was just to declare themselves officially friends. I agree with him in that he's not part of the "losing heroines" club since he did not get rejected plus he's a guy too lol.

Yup, still thinking this'll be my anime of the season.

Anna's case makes total sense! You can't just get over heartbreak in weeks and months, especially if you knew beloved since childhood. 2-3 years as MC said :D But how many anime seasons will be those 2-3 years I wonder? :D

Dude, wasn't this explained in the episode? Club president wasn't "officially" his GF purely due to misunderstanding. As a result, the dude thought the president only saw him as a friend. In reality, the two love each other, but due to that awkward moment during Christmas they're stuck in a limbo and can't progress their relationship. President getting pissed and giving a slap made perfect sense! She didn't dump him to begin with, the guy just misunderstood her! Now, imagine if your supposed loved one hesitates to say who they love, you or someone else? I think anger is a reasonable reaction; the guy basically jumped the gun and said he'd marry her (few months ago)!!! and now he wonders whether he should date some other girl??? - Hopefully you got the point.
To be fair to the dude though, in reality he wasn't at fault either. He's dumb but it's not his fault :D. He hesitated with Chika because he thinks he was dumped by president anyways, thus it may be OK to give the new girl a chance. Why not, right? But it's something he wouldn't have hesitated about if not for the misunderstanding during Christmas! Anyways, no such thing as "red flag girl" moment here.

Salome_deharriet said:

I don't know why you're overdramatizing things so much man... She didn't "barge in", she just walked into an open-door room. No evidence to suggest she did it to "signal" Lemon the guy was HER MAN or something. She obviously has no idea Lemon loves the guy and the guy doesn't love Lemon so it was like entering a regular classroom with random people in it. Why would someone wait outside the room at this point?

:D I mean, Yanami allegedly hid her feelings well so it's not the best friend's fault she couldn't see what was on Yanami's mind. As childhood friends the two were likely close so it can be challenging to deduct if romance is involved or they're just buddies, I'd assume. Can't really blame the other girl here too. Are you saying she's also red-flag because she failed to realize Yanami was actually in love? Well, as it turns out Yanami's crush loved the other girl and not Yanami so it wasn't mutual anyways. It's dishonest to claim red flag here as well.

:D

After this episode, i realy started wanting Nukumizu to end up with Anna! They compliment each other so well and they both seem to be particularly special for the other...Maybe not the romantic kind of special rn, but they are certainly more than simple friends.
There is also the fact that both of them seem the most at ease and at their best whenever they are with each other.I just can't see this going any other way because of how good their rapport is.

Peak was at its peakest.
Chika getting dumped was predictable but it did bring Koto & Shintaro together. Very happy for Koto she is my favourite side character so far good that some childhood friend got a W.
Her and Chika's interaction was so wholesome at end. They both actually like eachother just got into messed up situation.
Yeah also Koto DID NOTHING WRONG cry if you disagree.

Later half was focused on Anna & Nukumizu. Atleast misunderstanding ended immediately thanks to that heated exchange with Souske. But Nukumizu being insecure does make sense, man was actually hurt he got attached to Anna that much.
But then Nukumizu outdone himself by standing up for Anna against his "ex" which is so far out of his character. It earned him good points in eyes of Anna for sure.
Drama was very well executed imo. It actually felt & meant something.

The end was SPECTACULAR. Both only wanted to be friends but poor guy got dumped anyway and in some manner too. Well he is now in Loser club too.

Their relationship came so far this episode, really like the development between this two already. Obviously things will be slow as Anna still not over Souske and Nukumizu is well..
Maybe next time he can take revenge by rejecting Anna. Hope this ship sails very far in future..
Best episode easily.. Goated Romcom so far.

feels like this episode had a whole movie's worth of content, and i'm so here for it. good for komari, she managed to get it off her chest even if she got turned down. on the other hand, good for koto as well, they finally got their ball rolling. this bit really made me laugh though
another thing i liked about this episode, nukumizu and yanami's whole conflict came up and got resolved in the same episode without feeling rushed. other anime would drag out their whole conflict for like 4 or 5 episodes first before getting a conclusion lol. the confrontation with the other guy yanami liked was handled nicely as well, i mean you can't even hate him. i feel kinda bad for nukumizu because i want him to be a thing with yanami lmao but she's so right about having no control over when you get over someone or fall for someone else. the most sensible conclusion came of this and i hope their friendship goes well. really great episode, might be peak.
