1000% mecha... evangelion and [strangely] kuromukuro are the only exceptions. the rest I simply can't get into, which is weird because I love western "giant robot" movies like the iron giant and pacific rim I suppose I avoid ecchi/harem too, 1) because I'm an adult and 2) because I'm a woman |

I have zero interest in Cyberpunk, Mecha, Award Winning, Drama, Horror, Mystery, Sports, Suspense, Supernatural. No, i wouldn't give them a try, because i know i wouldn't like them and they're not my cup of tea. The only consideration i would take seriously is a 3D mecha anime with very little to no human presence like Transformers: War for Cybertron. |

Outside of the obvious two, being harem and ecchi, I just don't like anything that has space or mecha attached to it. Similarly, avant-garde stuff is just not for me. I just prefer stuff that doesn't require a fine arts degree just to understand. Obviously there've been exceptions, like Midori no Hibi, which despite being ecchi, still managed to be really cute and wholesome, and hell, even Ishuzoku Reviewers was fun, even if the sex scenes were sorta "just there" for me (Anime erotica and ecchi just doesn't do anything for me, at all. I literally see it like I see paint drying). I'm always game for looking for those exceptions. |

Whatever kind of genre shows like Nagatoro, Takagi-san, Uzaki-chan and Bisque Doll is supposed to be. I know it's technically romcom, but it's a specific type of romcom where you have this absurdly bland male protagonist who has zero personality or attitude and the cute girl who's popular in the school, inexplicably has an attraction for him and does everything for him despite the fact that he's about as interesting as a wooden door. |
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength. |

What are genres/themes you’re not interested in and why? - School, I had my fair share of school anime & I simply reached my limit - Vampire, vampires are not cute, vampires exist to be slaughtered. Blame Blade (Wesley Snipes) for my messed up worldview. I wasn't raised with Twilight lol - CGDCT, tried it & to boring for me. I need at least 1 dude walking around there like he owns the place -> harem, I know what a surprise huh? - Mystery / mythology. Mystery loves to tell a story in riddles, leaving you full of questions in the beginning. Trying to piece the story together the further you progress. Often I lose interest quiet early, I like to sit back and relax, not put on my Sherlock Holmes hat trying to figure it out by overanalyzing every minute detail. - Detective, not interested into getting blasted with so much info in the beginning and all kinds of terminology to then witness it ends on a wimp, instead of a banger. 2 Many disappointments so I tend to steer clear of this genre. - BL & GL, tried it & I'm not interested, not for me at all. - Idols, imo the similarities with CGDCT is huge so I ignore this entirely + it's often based in school scenario's. - Psychological, way to much blablabla & never an eye opening experience or anything like that, no inspiration, expansion of worldview or educational imo. Nothing comes close to what Ningen Shikkaku did imo. Would you ever give them a try? I think I tried them all at least once by now so no, not really. Unless the comedy is claimed to be golden, then I would dare to dabble my toes into it again whatever it is. Saiki K is in my top 10 and that's almost always in school scenarios. Would you consider recommendations for them? - Only if there's comedy in it. Comedy can be a hit or a miss, but I'm always open to try it. Latest hit was Aho Girl. Despite the school background, I found it funny enough to see it entirely. - I seriously doubt CGDCT / BL / GL will ever be able to satisfy me under any format. - I'm open for recomms of detective, psychological & mystery / mythology to give it another fair chance. Give me your best shot. |

The one that comes to mind is CGDCT as the main one I have no real interest in but there are others like reverse harems (besides maybe Ouran) and even regular harem anime most of the time unless the characters actually are good, mecha anime, slice of life where there isn't anything interesting thematically like Girls Last Tour. There are very rare exceptions but a genre like that instantly makes me feel either worried or deflated since most probably I wouldn't enjoy it. |

Sports, i just get bored whenever im watching a sports anime. The aspect of improving, wanting to become better, friendship, themes often seen in this genre i can find those in other genres. Besides those themes, the only thing left is the actual sport, like if i wanna see soccer, i just watch the champions league or the premier league, if i want to watch basketball, i watch the nba, and so on. Girls love or boys love, i dont have anything against the genre, im just not that interested on it. |

typical harem/isekai is one thing. but also straight romance shoujo as well why : because I dont want to see the same motif that is repeated for so many fucking times, "A MODERN CINDERELLA" you either get reincarnated as a villainess, a huntress, a witch or whatever fuck it is, or no matter how strong, how smart, how edgy you are, how much plot armor you have, or you have a cheat fucking system with you, you are still just a victim girl, weakling, fragile that always need a handsome prince, or a shiny white knight or any type of some rich handsome male character to carry you, to help you, to pick you up every fucking time you fall any type of straight romance shoujo are basically just a subset of the lame-ass old Disney fairy tale story: "Cinderella become the princess and get marry to a prince and live happy ever after". and that genre is by far as bad as straight harem/cliche, there is no creativity but only masturbation. women who enjoy it are technically just the silly rotten girls, which is the type I despise most |

@traed I know I've seen that specific one float around as something loved by people with similar tastes to me, and honestly the ecchi tag was the only thing stopping me from trying it. I guess I'll give it a shot, if it's basically as wholesome as Midori no Hibi was (An anime I picked up solely because of the Delinquents tag, and in spite of the ecchi tag, but stuck with for the adorable romance). That anime was like barely one single ecchi joke per episode, and was otherwise just a fun and non-ecchi romance anime. Thanks for the heads up! |

Genres - Sports, ecchi Themes - Harem, Isekai, Idol Sports - I just don't like most sports in general and a lot of sports anime feel the same. Ecchi - I'm just not interested in sexualised media. Harem - Same issue with ecchi (plus a lot of males characters in reverse harems feel really creepy). Isekai - A lot of them are bland. Idol - I just don't really care about idols. That being said, I don't avoid these genres as sometimes there'll be anime that I like from them (e.g. Baki, Kill La Kill, My Next Life as a Villainess, Oshi no Ko) but I never go out of my way to search for one. |

What are genres/themes you’re not interested in and why ? Mecha, serious slice of life, horror, to much ecchi, cyberpunk, idols . Don't really like. Would you ever give them a try ? If I'm not interested in a genre of anime I wouldn't be interested in it for any other medium. - Mecha - Sci-fi - Avant Garde - Horror/Gore - Isekai - never got the appeal - Harem - Ecchi (or anything of the sort) - I used to watch them but stopped years ago. I just don't see the appeal anymore and they aren't enjoyable |

it’s not my best shot but give a try to these 2 ( especially since you liked buddy daddies)
Kamonohashi Ron
Fugou keiji: balance unlimited
These 2 are detective / mystery but on the soft way , no need to work your mind to solve stuff and on the contrary just enjoy them solve cases
Also comedic , they’re short so I really do recommend them
And one of mg favorite comedy shows is Hoozuki no reitetsu!
I just suggest you watch it without even questioning the description of it in MAL. , first ep is not the best for me but the rest is cool
If you ever gave them chances feel free to give me your opinion! Here or or DM

@Yonahim_Zz Concerning the list... I have had higher percentages like +40% :P I have seen your recomms when they were seasonals, I'll give it a try & I'll do my best to remember to share my opinion about it :P To my surprise I had Hoozuki no reitetsu already floating in my watch list, so I'll give this a try first! :D |
Kingdom Come Deliverance II GOTY 2025 Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is another worthy GOTY contender I tip my fedora to Sandfall Interactive, excellent debut gentlemen! If digital buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing |
