Ninjas, demons, and those creepy VR dudes... Is there anything this show doesn't throw at us?

Yamaji responds to inquiries from one of his trusted aides about Higan's chances of survival. He explains that Higan survived because he utilized his secret art to stay alive. Later, Mike's ex-partner approaches him, advising him to stop meddling in the Higan situation. That same day, Mike teams up with Higan and Emma to launch their independent inquiry into AUZA. Mike explains that he has a lead on AUZA thanks to a certain someone helping him... a duck.

Man, that horny guy is seriously messed up, all thirsty for well yk. He's practically begging Higan to beg for mercy, even when he's on his deathbed... It's just messed up. And Higan, he seems so... numb. I get it, he's been through hell with losing his family and all, but I hope he finds some happiness eventually. Then there's these guys arguing over cars... so unserious lmao. It's crazy that nobody's called out those AUZA jerks just because they're tight with the army. I mean, seriously, they practically run a whole fucking CITY. But yeah, this episode is jam-packed with plot, except for the end, which, true to Park's style, is absolutely fire. And that Park rock soundtrack just seals the deal.

A familiar voice calling Higan... who could it be?

Damn, reaper lookin cool.
Lol, giving mike an energy drink. Gotta hate getting a drink thinking its one thing and its something else. And great to know Higan knows his cars. Also cool that the girl had a mobile computer built into her vehicle. Too bad it didnt last for long.
And great… evil head honcho genius.
Cool to see we get at least 1 epic fight per episode. And these ninjas with their tech is cool. And man this ost is fire. Now the questions on everyone’s mind is who is the person on the phone?

you know for damn sure Higan is a real ninja when he keeps energy drink in his flask instead of whiskey, damn, wish i had that discipline still. used to in my youth. this guy though, he never let go of that invincible fighting spirit. he never gave up an inch, he never accepted accepted even a single mental defeat. damn. actually inspirational despite being seemingly a for-the-memes type scene.

The Reaper was the most interesting part of this episode. But it felt like very little happened this week.

Higan’s mental fortitude is something I’d have always wanted haha. Best anime fights, graphics and direction of the season.

As expected, AUZA and the ninjas are in bed with each other. Even if it felt like not a lot happened this week, I'm glad they spent some time familiarizing us with AUZA and their role in the plot (even if it was pretty obvious that said role would be "the big evil corporation"). The main draw of this show from the teasers is obviously the action and animation, but actual story development is still necessary. Another amazing fight sequence yet again, but I feel bad for Emma's car lol. Basically a mobile computer, cool ass concept, and now it's in shambles. ๐Ÿ’€
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Kinda hard to hold on to the hype, but still a pretty enjoyable episode.

This might go from a 10 to an 8.

Another great episode. Even though it was more slow paced than the others, i liked all the info we were getting. This new ninja guy with the big head is very weird i like how he has robot ninjas fighting for him though.

These Auza guys are making some big technological advancements, i wanna see more of what they have to offer.

As always the action in this show is top tier, even though the fight were not that long this ep they were still beautiful. I really liked that fight closer to the start of the episode with the guy who had the secret wind art and the other guy who was named The Reaper (i think)

Higan as usual is on demon time. I love the techniques he does and its nice seeing him use the one to sprout multiple limbs again. I like how Mike is a prominent character in the show though i would like to see more of Emma as well. I like her decked out beetle car.

As always im hyped for the next episode.

This anime is exactly like how I used to imagine an anime should be when I was a 12 year old that's why the fight scenes are really funny for me.

My doctor has always told me to smoke. He even explains himself: “Smoke, my friend. Otherwise someone else will smoke in your place.”

This episode was alright. It was a lot slower than the previous two, which is normally fine, except I don't feel like there was anything new or important really established in the time that was spent. We already knew that AUZA was working with the ninjas, or at least assumed it. Some of the dialogue was just bad. I understand that they're going for the edge factor, but sometimes it is a detriment. This was one of those cases. As usual, the animation was great and the fight at the end was awesome.

had me in the first half, almost though this episode was gonna have no fights but they cooked in the last 4mins. i'm glad its trying to give more time to the plot as well though. that explanation about the car parts made me feel like i was watching initial D, tsuda kenjiro would've fit right in lol. also idk if those images in the hologram were actually real or just hyperrealistic but either way threw me off lmao.

So basically Auza cut a deal with the ninjas and using them as death squads to eliminate their economic and political rivals with cutting edge technology. It seems like there is some tension between the Auza CEO and the head of the ninja clan Yamaji as he doesn't the ninjas actions be brought to light. Auza went a little too far in trying to cover up the evidence by destroying the Chinese diner. Too bad Mike and Emma were injured in the ninja attack, but Joe was able to beat the ninja that attacked them. The soundtrack went super hard during the fight scene.

Ok so Auza and the ninja's aren't one and the same. They're 2 different parties in a cooperative relationship where Auza supplies them with technology and stuff while the ninja's do missions for them like assassinating competitors.

I gotta say it's sooooo refreshing that we have adult-themed, no bullshit, no cliffhanger, no stalling show on our hands. Goes to show you don't need cheap tricks to keep people wanting for more.

And am especially happy there's no school or competition of any sorts in sight. Breath of fresh air.

The animation and fights within the series are cool but the story as a whole is terrible and has little substance. The characters are also very generic and stereotypical as well, especially the two police officer characters.

yeah... the plot is loosing steam for me, we need sub plots man! but I doubt this will get a second season for better fluidity

this show is solid so far. but it doesn't make me overly excited (you know when you're looking forward to an episode in the week leading up to). getting a good seasonal fix from Frieren, Solo Leveling and A Sign of Affection atm..

So most (all?) of the ninjas who defected did it because they wanted to stick to the old ways, while the ninja brass got in bed with the Americans and/or Aizu.

The same company also appears to supply them the super advanced tech, while the ninjas kill their rivals and all other obstacles in exchange.

That old Master ninja was presumably the mastermind behind this, and he eliminated whoever objected. In effect he pulled a coup; it was he who betrayed the ninja ideals, not the defectors.

So all that about eliminating defectors to keep the ninja techniques secret is complete BS. He is just a "my way or six feet under the highway" guy.
