Good final episode,

New outfit for Kitasan! (~~Most likely going to be a alt for the game too~~ added to the game)
That intermission image though with her new outfit.

Lots of good camera work this time around, race was presented well, etc.
(Man the faces of Kitasan when she's powering through though lol)
Doesn't seem like anyone took the loss poorly, everyone being proud of her winning Arima Kinen.

We also finally get the first winning live of the season and also the last one lol.
That other Uma that was there on stage with Kita and Cheval apparently is Queens Ring (irl name)

Also did they change the artstyle at the very end? Kitasan looked very different than how she was drawn throughout the whole season.

Overall great episode to end the season.

I still think overall the season itself was still "meh" with the story telling, I honestly think there was just too many episodes of Kitasan going from happy > race > moping, repeat.

I think that just killed how I felt about the anime, just too many episodes where Kitasan was just moping around.
There were some good episodes too, like the school festival episode, but overall I'd probably give this season of the anime maybe like a ~7/10

Edit:
New movie featuring Jungle Pocket announced!

This was Kitasan's last run this season so obviously, she wants to make an impression. Her ethic work made her focus harder than ever to train for this race.

Hell of a season finale..Kitasan screamed and pushed her way into that finishing line. Crowd was so hyped for this episode and deservingly so.

Kitasan's last race. How will it play out?

As the commemorative race of the last run approached, Kitasan continued intense training. The sight of Kitasan desperately running ignited the hearts of the surrounding Uma Musume. With companions bidding farewell and amid the excitement and fervor of numerous fans, it was the final commemorative race. After running with all her might, Kitasan saw a view that

As always, those same four fans we see every time are already lining up days before the race begins. They've stuck with all our main characters so far. I can't help but wonder if Teio has called it quits on the Twinkle Series. You know, it's funny — it's not the Uma Musume themselves that leave the biggest impression on me. It's these fans, watching the races no matter where they are or what they're up to. I mean, one of them is literally mountain climbing and still catching the action.

But seriously, out of all the main characters we've had, none of them has managed to gather as much cheering during the final race as Kitasan did. He really deserved it; that race was hands down the most intense so far. And did you catch that Uma Musume playing the violin? The hell. Lmao. Oh, and finally, the live performance is back, and guess what? It's the OP. Gotta say, it's hands down the best one yet, especially now that I'm really listening to it. Although, to be fair, the last two were kinda meh.

I'm sorry, but no one can top Special Week for me personally. Adding to that, we barely even got to see Kitasan win this season. I don't understand how people think Kai animates the show better than P.A. did. In my opinion, things have been going downhill ever since the studio change.

By now, we all know just how successful this franchise has become. It's a given that Cygames will be rolling out a fourth season. (Or a movie now. Ffs.) So, I'll catch you all then.

The Arima Kinen: Kitasan Black's final race of the Twinkle Series, which otherwise hitting her peak the last time, can she aim to give it her all for the finale.

All hopes are pinned on Kitasan to deliver her very best, even Tokai Teio who gives her a pep talk for the eventual day forthcoming.

The Christmas Eve Grand Prix finale race, full of anticipation from winners such as Sounds of Earth to Cheval Grand and Satono Crown, to fan favorites of the acclaimed horse herself, the race is off to Kitasan's lead running on her own pace. The winning spirit of Kitasan Black, cheered on by the fans, pushes for one last leap of faith with a big leap to clinch her 7th victory. Of the season series yet, the finale has been her very best yet, and the winning idol live performance is a testament to her undying spirit.

Overall, Season 3 is as every bit the same as Season 2, but it's just the same rehashed formula all over again, and I'm sorry to say that Season 3 was a downgrade in every way.

The first 2 seasons were better: Season 1 in the characters' personality (Special Week and Silence Suzuka) and Season 2 in the character development (Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen).

Congratulations. Kitasan!

A long-awaited live performance. Nice. :)

Pretty good finale to a decent season. The first two ones were better. For me, the first season will be always the peak. It was the most interesting one. Also, I just loved Special Week as a main character. She's easily my favorite girl. <3

Kitasan got her final G1 win at the end. This season was never gonna top the heights season 2 set but season 3 still kinda felt lackluster to me sadly. There were some nice moments here and there but nothing really got me fully on-board. Also wish we had gotten to see more of Duramente as well.

Overall season 3 was just decent. Season 2 is still the best Uma Musume anime. Excited for the movie. Can't wait for Tachyon and Cafe.

Well Kitasan won her last race which was really emotional she really worked hard.
It's also nice that everyone around her was happy for her with their encouragement.
The ending showing the young girls showing up as the next generation was nice tho i wonder if we will get a new season.

Finally, we've got the long-await winning live. By winning her final race, this was the best ending possible for Kitasan Black.
Thank you for your service, Kitasan Black.

The name of the episode (そしてみんなの (soshite anata no) - "And so, yours" (singular)) is a reference to a poster with Kitasan Black that says そしてみんなの愛馬になった (soshite minna no aiba ni natta) - "And so, he became everyone's favorite horse". Also the name of the OP is ソシテミンナノ (soshite minna no) - "And so, everyone's", also a reference to that poster.

The OP became a thousand times better after I've listened to the full version for some reason. Now after properly reading the lyrics, I especially love this part:
NaNa 涙みだ皆見ないけど溢れてる (NaNa namida mida mina minai kedo afureteru) - "Tears, tears, everyone doesn't see them, but they're overflowing".

Oh, Kita got a new outfit! So I guess this is what the "character A" was in that tweet about the new merch.
I already knew the results, but the race was still super emotional.
Daaaamn that Winning Live's production is insane. And they're singing the second half of the OP btw.
20:11 Cheval blushed here lol!
That's Kita's dad in the audience right? (Kitajima Saburo)
Great finale. This episode was visually the best and made me emotional again. So sad to see this end :( This was one of the anime I was looking forward to the most every week.

Enjoyed the hell out of this. The western part of the community didn't seem to like this season much, but screw everyone, I guess I'm on the side of Japanese viewers who had an absolute blast watching this lol.
Did not expect to become such a fan of this franchise when I first started the anime in September. The game is actually really fun. Thank god I know Japanese so I can play it properly.

A MOVIE LET'S GOOOOO!!! The trailer already made me have chills holy crap, it's so good. Cygames themselves are making it!
Jungle Pocket was my first SSR support card in the game so I already feel attached to her. Really looking forward to it! (But it being a movie also means that we'll only be able to watch it months after it comes out in Japan. Pain.)

Edit: Holy crap apparently the man that was speaking to the camera before the race is 斉藤慎二 (Saitou Shinji), the owner of Jungle Pocket lmao!

Credit to Kitasan VA for pouring all her heart out for the final race and throughout the season as well.

The winning live animations are very smooth, its a treat to watch.

Certainly a for fans series, but the low entry level helps newcomers to enjoy it as well.

Ofc authors again do this subtle thing.
Dia wants to see the same thing Kita have seen means obviously that Satono Diamond have never won G1 race after this moment.
They do it all the time.
Overall great season, s2 was marginally better but this one will also do.

I'm so happy, really happy she won. Teared up during her race. Glad she won her last twinkle series race and her seventh g1. That was so good. It was good to see her in a new race outfit, it looked similar to Teio's. Her father also showed up which was nice. The winning live was great too btw. It sucks that we didn't get more of Duramente during the season though.

Really good season again, loved it. One of the rare cases of a next gen anime maintaining it's quality or heck even getting better with each season. Looking forward to the movie next year.

I thought this final episode might be a sad one, but thanks to Kitasan’s win and getting to see the idol performance afterward it ended on a happier note, wouldn’t want to leave the cute horse girl anime being depressed lol. And Kitasan’s last run ended up being quite amazing, she led the entire time never letting anyone pass her, I was waiting for the “uh oh” moment but it never came, and she even got the boost from the crowd going wild which really made the race for me, I don’t even care if it’s cliche (it’s based on real life after all lol), I was just very happy to see Kitasan win with all those people there to see her race, very emotional indeed, especially with those facial expressions.

And I also noticed that Kitasan didn’t seem tired at the end, but that could also be from the adrenaline of seeing all those happy folks, I can forgive that. And the performance afterward was really nice, looked awesome and you can’t miss with the banger OP, it was kinda funny tho that the 2nd place winner was someone we’ve never even seen before lol, I think her name was “It’s Calling” or at least that’s what the subs said, she had a cute design. And we ended on a scene where I thought we might get teased with the next MCs but it didn’t happen, we did however see Kitasan hanging with the main horse girls of the season, which is satisfying enough for me.

And here we are at the end of another great season of Uma Musume, it was a lot of fun but I can easily say this did not quite reach Season 2’s greatness, it’s just hard to beat Teio. But that’s not the only reason of course, I did have some issues with this season like Duramente being underused (I know this is because of the real horse but still), and those episodes where Kitasan was in a depressed state did get a bit repetitive. And I personally found the story between Teio and McQueen to just be better in general, but with all that aside this was still a great season, there wasn’t a single race that wasn’t exciting, and I really grew to love Kitasan. This season also had a banger OP and ED, that OP is probably the best one of the series so far, and the ED was a very good one as well.

And it hurts to say goodbye to this series again, but we thankfully have a movie to look forward to and I still need to watch that “Road to the Top” mini series that came out earlier this year, and I have been thinking of rewatching Season 1 and maybe Season 2 even because I haven’t seen those since they originally came out and my opinion could change with a rewatch, so perhaps I’m not saying goodbye quite yet lol.

easter eggs this episode:

Manhatten Cafe, Neo Universe(IRL dad of Sounds of Earth) and Maya here

IRL references: Satono Crown has refused to enter the gate in that Arima Kinen, and the scoreboard checking is what Kita's jockey Yutaka Take do in the OG race
The last sentence of commentary in the race is the most iconic moment of Kitasan Black, but Crunchyroll hasn't translated it well, a better translation is ''That's the final of a star''(IRL edition is ''That's the final of the man''), unlike S2 the commentary of this race differs quite a lot from IRL edition
The Kitasan call after the race may be also a Yutaka Take reference, begin from Oguri call in Oguri's legendary Arima, and after Arima this year on another Christmas' Eve the Yutaka call is back after he won Arima for the 4th time……
In general the problem of this season is the character buildup is problematic which makes any fix in the last episodes not enough, and for this episode I think the Special Week's final outfit in game main story final chapter suits better for Kitasan than what we got now
PS: the new movie is released on the day of the IRL Japanese Derby next year which the main character Jungle Pocket wins, but the classic triple crown is not the whole of horseracing in 2001: Meisho Doto has finally beaten Opera in Takarazuka Kinen, our otaku Agnes Digital beats both Doto and Opera then in Tenno Sho Autumn, and the long-time witness Stay Gold has finally taken his first G1 HK Vase, I think containing all of this in a movie is too much therefore I hope to make 2 extra episode about Doto and Stay Gold's story as the ''B-Side'' of the moive

Another interesting thing: Cygames has released a Kitasan Black themed wine collaobrated with Kita's owner, but 5000 sets limit means that we the oversea fans probably has no chance to get one
It is common for sport figures to operate their own liquor brand especially in horseracing, for example there is a Japanese liquor brand themed with Symboli Rudolf for a long time(I can even buy it from local import liquor sellers, check if it is available at where you live) which Umamusume also collaborated earlier

IT'S SO SAD WHEN UMA MUSUME ANIMES END 😭😭😭
GOOD JOB KITA!!!

I wonder who will be the protagonist of a 4th season, since I doubt we will not get one.

btw the girl that finished in 2nd place isn't real, the horse was called Queens Ring (here is caled It's Calling), her desing and voice are nice, I liked her during their live, but she having a false name means they didn't get the right for the irl horse so we will never see her in the game 😭

For me season 2 was peak, season 1 was good too, but this, season 3, wasn't as good, still, a 10/10 because I love this franchise so much ❤️

BTW THE TRUE BEST MOMENT OF THIS EPISODE:

That was less than a second on screen and it made me so happy omg ❤️❤️❤️

While I do prefer her normal outfit, the new attire that Kitasan Black had for her final race still looked marvelous on her. It helped hype up her final race at the Arima Kinen and I'm glad that she delivered one hell of a performance. Seeing her smile so brightly towards the crown after winning her seventh and final G1 race was a proper heartwarming moment for those, like myself, who like Kitasan Black as a character in this series.

I'm also happy that the production staff animated the idol performance afterwards, which feels like that hasn't happened in a long while! XD

Overall, season 3 was a well-rounded effort. While I agree with most of the other users here in saying that season 2 was the best, I would have to disagree with them saying that this season was the weakest. For me, it's no better nor worse than season 1 in terms of character development, exciting races and drama.

As with those previous seasons, I'll settle with an 8/10. I'm glad that there's a movie coming out next year, though, as I still want to see more Uma Musume anime! =D

Interesting that they preferred not to make drama of Duramente story.
IRL Duramente fell really badly at the end of the race where he and Kitasan lost to Marialite and suffered severe injury of his right front leg, tearing ligaments and some more. And was forced to retire 4 days after this happened.
Proceeded to work as a stallion and produced some great horses - but none of them really are as great as Kitasan son Equinox who won 6 G1 races including Dubai one. And Duramente died from colitis being only 8 years old - usual lifespan of horses is 20-30 years.
Kitasan being the greatest talent of his generation wasn't even the case, it was Duramente who never lost to Kitasan, but with bad luck and traumas never was able to really reach his full potential while Kitasan had really long and successful career.

I did enjoy the S3 very much, we got more single MC approach like with Spe in S1 but it's still not enough to beat the fantastic S2. Also, we got only one "live" performance in the whole season.

Solid 7/10, can't wait for the movie also FFS Cygames WHERE IS THE GLOBAL RELEASE OF THE GAME!? IT'S ALMOST 3 YEARS ALREADY! I want to ruin myself so badly on the Rice Shower banner!
@Dudi4PoLFr It's likely to never have a global version for a variety of reasons. You can play the game through a somewhat lengthy process though.

Indeed. Finally there's someone who thinks the first season is the best. I think it was easily the most exciting one.

Personally, I found this to be just as good as the second season but a tad bit short of the first. It'd a slightly different approach from the other installments of the series, and I thought that was totally fine.

Well, GG Kita (actual GG, since it's her last)

.

I wonder if she'll still make appearances in future season (if they're still doing more seasons, how many good race horses are left to be MC material?)

.

BTW... during the final when they showed different ppls saying "GO FOR IT"

There was a dude on a mountain with no support AND watching the race on a phone with just one hand on the wall... DUDE's got more guts than Uma Musume...

.

And I guess the "Live" is literally just the Opening... while the dances are nice, but listening to the Opening every episode make the song feel kinda not as existing as it should be...

(as a note, season 1 used to have different Uma Musume Idol song/ dances for different horses, including different team set ups) (but I guess they're focusing more on the races and just kept the song/ dance to a minimum)

I just realized something weird.. Kitasan Black is black, Daiwa Scarlet is scarlet, but Gold Ship is not gold!

Also I don't really remember, didn't Teio was the last to join the Spica team? I don't remember Kitasan joined before

YESS that is excitement when i watch every season !!

repeating plot make this boring AF !!

Agree. The plot is too repetitive with girl of the season format

There's also only 1 live in this season, did the studio somehow forget about that lol

They really are melodramatic xD Although season 2 was even more melodramatic >.< They create a super drama out of nowhere xD

Since season 1 finished, this franchise started to feel/be very repetitive and cliche.
There were lots of uninteresting and filler episodes which didn´t add much in my opinion. It feels like this anime could have been done in just 6 episodes or so.

In general it was okay-ish season, slightly better than season 2 in my opinion.

Season 1 is genuinely the best and most enjoyable season out of the 3 seasons.

If they ever decide to give the franchise a breath of fresh air, then in that case I would welcome and be happy with a possible season 4.

I loved it! I don’t even care. I actually had some tears. I thought the whole thing was a bit better than the first two seasons…as far as a story goes. Nothing amazing, but it was entertaining as hell!

That win definitely made me tear up a little bit.
I would have loved to see more Sounds of Earth, but I understand they weren't like a big winner horse. Still, darn, what a cool character.

@Swiggy It's a possibility that she'll make cameo's in future seasons or OVA's like Mihono, Rice, Opera did.

What a way to end the legacy of the horse that almost always wins the race they participated in, Kitasan triumphs over all her rivals be it Duramente, Satono Diamond, Satono Crown or Cheval Grand

Plot-wise it's quite boring to follow a MC like this but I appreciate that every season MC's are wildly different

S1 = Special Week = typical underdog story
S2 = Tokai Teio = prodigy plagued by injuries (with bonus Rice Shower content)
S3 = Kitasan Black = overall champion material facing a steep performance decline at the end of their career
