The only problem is that Yasuho has a pretty modern phone, so in our world it should be about the time Stone Ocean takes place. But it's alternative universe, so who knows... |

| Good start. I like how this seems to be set in a world with techical advancements, considering the use of the iPhone. 4 balls, trust Araki to come up with something bizarre (no pun intended) like that. I dig the buck teeth. It's unique, and it's nice to see a JoJo protagonist who's not a total sex bomb, unless you're into buck teeth of course. With the possible exception of Josuke all previous JoJo protagonists have been pretty damn nice looking (even Jolyne was quite cute, despite Araki's manly drawing style). |

| Restarting Jojolion since it finally seems to be nearing the end! Didn't get far before since I wasn't that motivated with no end in sight. This must be the oddest start for a JoJo part and that's saying something. A naked guy with four balls, walls with eyes, a bitemark wound, bubbles that takes the sight of a person... It's a pretty weird start. The creepy boyfriend dude having a JoJo name doesn't sit right with me, but I doubt he has a star mark on his back. |

| It's been a long time JoJo. Back in 2015, I went through and read all of JoJo that hasn't been adapted but I stopped after Steel Ball Run because I didn't want to catch up and read it monthly. Six years later, JoJolion finally ended and I can finally read it. I'll admit, another reason I stopped after Steel Ball Run because I wasn't really fond of what I've heard about JoJolion, I wasn't really into how much is was taken from Part 4 or the amnesia plot-line, but none of that really matters if the execution is different, and a devastated Morioh and Mr. 4 Balls being an outsider presumably, rather than a resident are strong distinctions. The first chapter here definitely leans on the bizarreness factor more than anything else, and it's okay. I've hear people don't like Joshu and I already agree (though his arm movement trick was cool), the JoJo himself is a mystery, but I do like Yasuho so far at least, framing the first chapter around here was interesting. And yeah, the four balls ending is a funny mystery note that you'd only find in JoJo's.. |
