The Cows aren't going to milk themselves. Only if I can't physically get out of bed will I ring someone to fill in, which has happened maybe twice (bad back).

Depends. I'm slightly sick atm and am planning on going to work this weekend anyway. That's because I don't wanna get my pay docked and I did a COVID test which came back negative. Might do another tomorrow just to be safe, but only if I'm feeling worse when I wake up.
Take care of yourself

If it's just a cold then sure, I don't get sick often anyway, and I can't even remember the last time I've called out sick.

Yes, as long as I have no more possibilities of being absent on university (you can have 1-2 absences without telling the reasons) which is right now x) I have from monday a fever, cough, runny nose and huge pain in head and I've been to all of my subjects as I've used all of my possible absences x).

If I'm sick I am knocked on my goddamn ass. I'm talking shaking uncontrollably, unable to get out of bed, wishing for death's sweet embrace.

So nah I don't go to work while sick.

I used to back when I was younger. I only called out if I was in the hospital. I worked through pneumonia and vomiting blood back then. I completely regret it.

If it's very minor, then yeah. But if it's genuinely something that affects me and holds me back from being normal, then I'll take a day or so off

With a fever? Nah, thankfully my country doesn't hold a candle to the US in terms of work conditions. Like, having limited sick days and whatnot? It's fucking mental.

With a cold? I've got hay fever so I essentially have a perpetual cold throughout the year, doesn't really prevent me from working honestly.

If the fever is still bearable and there is something important to do in school then yeah I would still go.

If you have a fever and you are seriously even thinking about still going to work you should really reconsider your values in life.

Yeah, I get sick like maybe twice a year if I'm unlucky and it fucks my shit for a full month.

Why would you go to school or work if you have fever?

I'd even skip the gym on such days.

If it's a high fever, no I don't. If I can walk properly, not feeling that dizzy, I will.

So, I grew up in a brown household, meaning you do not skip anything unless you're dying.

As an adult, if I'm sick and painkillers aren't helping, I would take the day off.

If you have the flu and come to work you're basically fucking other people for your own selfish benefit.

High chance you being at work or not is far less of an issue when it comes efficiency than you coming in contagious and getting all your co workers sick.

So stop going to work sick, ffs

I do yeah. Also I agree with Cneq's post. It is not very smart because you basically take the decision to get your coworkers sick. Every time I went I took precautions to go to another room( I asked for a temporary new one to work without anyone) and didn't go to lunch with any co worker. But even that I don't think is much good. Health should get priority (yours and others). The thing is I feel quite unwell mentally if I know my mind is sound and good to work but only the body is keeping it down. So I do the work.

Rather not, if I think it's something contagious.

I did go to work the day after my second covid shot though, and I had coworkers asking how I was there. Not why, but how. Not sure either since I felt like I was about to faint all day.

But generally speaking if I know it's not contagious, as long as I can still move I'll still go to work.

Depends. If it is some next level speedster covid then nah, can't have the school closing bc of me although that would be le ebic trool.

Otherwise I usually go unless it is actually really bad.

Generally no, but I'm currently sick and really need to go in tomorrow. I was sick a month ago and missed an entire week. It took me too long to get caught back up, and I'm not about to repeat that unless I can't get out of bed. I'm pissed as it is that I'm already sick again. I'm probably going back to wearing a mask in public places.

Also, negative covid test for both, so I'm not terribly concerned. Still sucks, though, since I have a really bad cough right now.
