I only watch Ravenclawreact because she's not just watching an episode and video's over. She takes time before every episode to gives proper analysis about what she watched last, talks about the theme, characters, research she made aside, mention and read comments with interesting analysis and she then does the same after watching the episode. That makes her reaction video pretty long but it's because there's actual thought an analysis behind it. She's also easy to talk with an an honest nice person

I like to see people's reactions to some anime episodes that gave me goosebumps or like some of my favorite episodes, or even full animes, because I don't have real life friends to watch anime with me Sadge.

However I only watch reactions from a select few, like YaBoyRoshi, DeanBarry, React City because they at least do some form of discussion every episode, and their reactions aren't fake as fuck.

When I see other youtubers that go OHH MY GOD!!! WOW!!! At like the simplest shit is when I start to cringe.

YaBoyRoshi.. I always watch them ^^

Sometimes.

The only anime I've shown to friends and have seen varied reactions from it was Urotsukidogi-Legend of the Overfiend.

It's not your common hentai, it has a solid plot (Something that's becoming increasingly scarce as anime becomes more abundant) and not-so-strangely the demon rape make sense.

I think the most reacted scene, was during the Overfiend's birth in a hospital, that scene in and of itself alone, is what makes anime great.

Classic.

Rarely but sometimes. If it's a hype episode for a series I really like

Sometimes. I usually want to see how people react and hype with the OP/ED or a specific scene.

Reaction vidio is one of the most uncreative content which i don't understand why so many people love it.

TV reactions are like the junk food of YouTube and I kinda like it.

One channel I watched did some anime and I watched them react to Death Note. I actually watched two Death Note reactions now that I think about it. It's more fun to relive the moments than to see people give their opinions in the moment though.

But I do like TV reactions in general to "test" shows I'm somewhat interested in but not committed enough to watch it completely by myself. Back in the day I'd just the plot online, but short reactions are even lazier.

I do watch them for select anime or just general ops/eds. Depending on the youtuber, they range from very little reactions to full on theorizing. Blind Wave is one of the more comprehensive ones, but they also react to stuff outside of anime.

99% of reaction stuff comes off as very disingenuous and cringe. Just seeing the thumbnails for anime reactions is already enough for me.

I understand why people like it, but I would need for them to actually have something interesting to say or add some witty/funny commentary to it, not just PogU at everything.

I can see you

Only once, watched my fav youtuber, That Star Wars Girl, react to Redo Of Healer episodes, thoough it wasn't like a live reaction, it was a straight after watching reaction, and of course her reaction got me to react like "damn, i gotta see what this shit is about!"
Not sure if she got thru the whole series since the reaction vids stopped after 4 episodes

Psyculturists. The only one I know at the moment. I linked Re: Zero since that one's fully analyzed up to Season 2. There are others he's doing at the moment as well like Mushoku Tensei, Attack on Titan, etc. but they aren't completed.

I’d have to be in a pretty bored and desperate space to want to watch someone react to an anime. I’d just watch the anime instead.

Watching videos of anyone reacting to anything feels scripted and stupid. I'm far too much of a cynic to believe that their reactions are real.

I prefer commentary videos to just regular reaction videos, because I dont see the point of just watching someone "react" to things without any kind of real input. Some of that stuff comes off as kinda fakey to me, anyways.

I don't get how it's a thing. I understand wanting to see someone you know reactions. Or just get a general sense of what people as a whole think/react to something. But to watch one specific random person on the internet just watch a show. Makes no sense to me.

I agree, watching someone you know react to a show you enjoy is entirely understandable. Wanting to watch randos react makes no sense.

No I don't but I kinda get the appeal. I want to share the anime I love with people I care about and see their reaction. But I don't want to watch strangers pretend to react to anime.

Yes, I do. But it's mostly because I find rewatching shows boring.

Because of that, when there is an anime that I remember really liking and that I want to watch again I usually don't have the concentration or attention span to watch it on my own. So reaction videos are a really good way for me to rewatch a show without getting bored 5 minutes in since there is someone there to keep my attention.

Plus if the reactor actually takes their job seriously and pays attention to what they're watching, they can give some great perspective on things that I maybe wouldn't have noticed on my own.

No. I really don't care about others' opinions and especially not about some eceleb or whatever "reacting" to anime purely for the sake of baiting clicks of weebs. Reviews on the other hand are OK (may you RIP Grumpy Jii-san)

Yeah, if it's a seasonal show I'm really excited about.

Other than that I watch Teeaboo and he's the only regular one cuz he does PiP and he often has some insight on staff or more insight on the story/ character than I may have. Much as I love his content though I sometimes find him a bit pretentious and don't always agree with him and everytime I comment on his vids I get the vibe he hates me. Probably just my anxiety lol but I think he's very genuine and I love that

But anways, I don't think there's anything wrong with reactions. I like feeling like someone is watching with me, cringy as it is... even though I have a boyfriend I feel like he can't keep up with just how much I wanna watch anime lol... and that I can't share that with him really. Honestly it makes me sad.... The forum here and a few reactors videos are the only things that make me feel like I'm really not the only one who loves this stuff. I got a normal life and all and that's good but is it wrong to now and then also want a bf who's passionate about the same silly things as me? Idk

No watch list sig cuz "You watch anime in 3 days or 3 months! Such is the proper way!"

Nope. Never. Don't know why people would do that. Watch it by yourself or with some friends, not some overhyped guy whom you're not even watching it with. For some reason when I see those thumbnails of people reacting to the latest episode of something it really makes me cringe for some reason.
I don't have anything against people who do watch others react to shows they could easily be reacting to themselves, these are just my personal thoughts on them.

I’ve watched some anime trailer reaction videos in the past just out of sheer curiosity because I wanted to know what their expressions look like and whether their reactions were exaggerated or not, lmao. From what I’ve seen, most of the reactions look genuine, but some appear quite exaggerated. The fake and overly-exaggerated reactions can be borderline cringy but also hella funny sometimes, ngl.

Never. I'd rather initiate a meaningful conversation with a MAL user I respect, to get his perspective. Or just talk about the subject on my Discord Server. Why would I watch a chap make a dipstick of himself, for internet to see? I don't need to see an e-friend pantomime to feel like I am part of a homely community. Besides, I am subscribed to more than 160 channels in Youtube, I have no time for these antics.
