| Personally, it depends. I think some girls are more attractive with shorter hair, but I find it unattractive if it's too short. As long as it's not a pixie cut or the hair at least goes past the ears, I will probably find it attractive. |

Hanekawa from Monogatari series did still look good with shorter hair, but no where near as seductive as she did with the longer hair, though she always tried to downplay her good looks and not draw attention to herself (with long hair as Black Cat Hanekawa she was the epitome of sexy and cute imo). Togame from Katangatari was another one that looked better with that long hair. |

| Hmm.... Prior to Haircut: Hair for the majority of the series: Hair by the end of the series: Kind of true I guess. But it all depends on how they style it. And it also depends on how long you're used to their style. You become accustomed to a character with short hair if they have short hair from the start. When their hair has suddenly grown longer though, your opinion on their attractiveness might change and you'll have to get used to the new hair. |

| Considering that the facial features and body would be the same, that wouldn't really make her unattractive in my opinion. I mean I can imagine hair being important, but as long as she still has some hair and isn't bald, I can't imagine the character would lose that much due to a change in hair-style. The hairstyle isn't even up there on what makes a character pretty imo. Sure, it helps, but not to that extent. Furthermore, short and long hair are umbrella terms for tons of different cuts, so saying that one is better than another is a really difficult choice for me. To be honest, though, it just really depends on what suits the character. For example, Mizore from R+V, actually looks better with shorter hair imo, as she has a more nonchalant vibe to her that's actually more suited for short hair since it takes less work to maintain and would be better for characters who I can imagine not taking that much time on their appearance. Furthermore, being someone with a more tomboyish vibe to her compared to the other girls, short hair just matches her fashion better. Additionally, being someone who creates ice, spiky short hair makes sense given her powers as it looks stiff and kind of like icicles to me. I found the character more attractive when she cut her hair in this case. This isn't to say, there are no characters who cut their hair and look worse for it. The main example to come to mind is Yona(Yona of Dawn), as her character is very girly, in how she acts and her sense of fashion, so the super short hair just doesn't seem to match her. |

| it actually makes me sad how few anime girls with short hair there are in most shows. i like to see a variety of designs and i feel like the "long colorful flowing wavy hair" style is a bit overdone for a main female character. i'd like to see more hair lengths than just "long", "super long", and "a bit above the shoulder" |
