Damn, a rare sight to see some actual action from this show. Poor Myne, she got caught up (literally) by a guy looking for trouble but I admire her bravery.

A very tense episode. This one also shows how vulnerable Myne is considering she's still a child.

Fuck Shchioza. That whole sequence gave me SAO Alicization episode 9 vibes. Feel quite bad for Damuel because although he knew things were wrong, he had no real means of doing anything. It’s easy for us to observe as outsiders and say he could’ve stepped in, but in medieval times that would’ve legit been unthinkable.

Ferdinand out here flexing his rank to stand up for Main. Love that guy. Although he acts cold on the outside, he really does care a great deal about Main and wants to see her succeed.

One more episode to go, I really hope we get a third season of this. Reviews, ratings, etc seem to be doing very well and I believe the LN is also selling quite well.

On the edge of my seat this episode. Main had it super rough at the hands of Shicicorza. This show has done a great job showing the weaknesses in class based society. Main basically pointed that out directly when Damuel would quite speak up. Those of lower rank fear the upper ranks so much they can't always say what's right. It's really awful when you think about how justice is impaired and the upper nobles run rampant through this society. Shicicorza showing the worst of the upper nobles dragging Main around calling her nothing but a plebian. He don't know shit! How dare he! Fran ma boi tried to stop him, made me sad to see. Glad that Ferdinand laid down the law when he got back. Ridiculing them all hard especially Shicicorza. Nary a scratch! But couldn't even do that. Got a big head and truly didn't know his place. Trombe is really difficult to maintain, crazy to see if feed off mana so heavily. The brief action scenes looked cool. Now I suppose the last episode will be Main blessing the trombe since the battles done.

Yep, as expected, that one green-haired knight was a complete jerk! Hope he is getting the punishment he deserves. I do feel like they are a bit too harsh on the other guy!

Don't get to see Ferdinand so angry that often! I mean he raised his voice a few times at Myne, but this was in a whole other league!

This episode did give us some excitement, but it also demonstrated just how much Myne has matured as a character. When she was facing the threats of the high priest, she wasn't able to control herself and Crushed him, but now she was able to control her emotions even in a very tense situation. Who knows what would have happened if Schicicoza had progressed a little further toward hurting her, but still she showed a lot of restraint.

The green haired bastard should get a severe punishment for what he wanted to do to Myne.

Ferdinand getting angry for Myne's sake was nice to watch.

Now all that's left is the blessing.

The trombe is a major problem, but SO is another character (Schkikoza) who aims to thwart the Knights' plan altogether with immense skepticism. He's just asking for trouble, the same as the High Priest and his lackeys.

The travesty of the issue (while new to grey and blue robes Fran and Myne respectively), and Head Priest Ferdinand taking care of business at the helm. Good work for Fran and Damuel to stand up for her in trouble, but the status/position would've been one too much to rebel towards the current hierarchy.

Thank the heavens that Myne got away scot free from harm, but towards Schkikoza, his position being compromised for hurting Myne is a grave error, and Ferdinand truly shows his anger with responsibility taken in command.

Myne is no longer THE commoner, she's THE blue-robed noble that should learn to stand up for herself.

The blessing ritual next episode, the final one.

She's a commoner, he's a mid-noble. He won't get any punishment for anything he does to her, even if he killed her. That's why he was so confident stating as his only defense that she was a commoner.
Now, disobeying orders from his superiors, disrespecting the decision of the Archduke, and making the whole Knight Order lose face, THAT should get him some punishment...

That knight actually is (or was) one of High Priest's lackeys, he is one of those former blue robes who left the church because of the noble shortage. It also turns out later that he was one of the worst assholes to grey robes in the church as well.

What a jerk! ò_ó He dare to hurt our Myne for being superior?? He should have showed a good example of a knight, not to look down on someone. He will get what he deserves! I feel bad for the other knight who was being nice to her, even though he's an accomplice -_-" He did saw the whole scene!

Can't believe this ends next week :( I'm going to miss this show... Anyways, good episode!

I understand that more than likely, not all know or see her for who she is, but holy shit that could've ended badly if it didn't get solved right away. Just shows that there will be some that'll out right reject her. I know that lord did a few eps ago, but even more? Damn.

Actually, no ! Thanks goodness she didn't do that. If we follow the story's logic, the punishment for hurting a Noble would probably be death.

The last time she did that, the High priest was just too ashamed that he got bested by a little commoner girl and probably afraid, so he let her go.

Loved seeing Ferdinand putting that asshat “noble knight” in his place! He’s become like a protective uncle or teacher for Main. Gets exasperated with her and is quick to correct her when she does wrong, but no outsider better harm her like that guy did, because he won’t stand for that, for sure!
I’ll be lowkey sad when he goes back to his priest robes - liking the way he looks in that armor! :)

I haven’t heard anything yet about another season but if we do get another one we may have to wait until at least to around late 2021 or at most 2022 since the studio of this anime will probably be busy with other shows like the 2nd season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and some new projects. But hopefully this show will be popular to get another season.

she can't. That's not crushing anything, it's mind pressure instilling fear into someone else and it's something a noble CHILD do when not controlling his/her emotions will do. Ferdinand already talked about that.
Let's just say that there's no way proper nobles can't handle this. Ferdinand could have at any moment just knocked her out but he choose to simply bite his lips to go over the mind pressure and resolve things peacefully.

So first of all she would need to be angry rather than afraid to use it. Then she would need her opponent to not be a proper noble (and certainly not a knight used to fighting) for it to take effect. Then on top of this, since it's a disgrace for nobles to show their emotion in public, she would have proven Shikikoza that he was right about looking down on her for not being worthy of wearing a blue robe, since she can't even control her emotion enough to avoid using intimidation on someone. And it would probably have given him excuse to actually hurt her.

So not only would have that no positive effect, but it would have disgraced her maybe permanently, disgraced Ferdinand who was backing her, and possibly ended up wounding her in the process.
Didn't you hear what Ferdinand said at the end? show the knights that you're worthy? showing she's not worthy right before that would be pretty bad.

Phew. I love this show but some of the scenes in this were hard to watch. That green haired knight is probably one of the most horribly infuriating characters I've seen a long time. You've got to be fucking evil to threaten to gouge out the eyes of an innocent child. I honestly wanted to see him get torn limb from limb.

Poor Myne. She showed such calm maturity in trying not to escalate that situation. She's such a great character. I'm glad that Ferdinand at least stepped in to discipline that asshole.

I really hope we get a third season of this show. I'm going to miss it.

I have to agree. At the very least, I question the musical score. While worried about Main's safety, the chosen OST was something that purposely tried to calm that fear. The scene and the music just didn't fit one another.

To be honest I really looking forward for this episode, however its end up just meh.

Seriously, the studio could do much better with this episode. Seam lacking there and there.
Especially, Ferdinand angry reaction. Its just like the his normal angry/scolding toward myne.
Far cry from what karstead said.

Also the choice of bgm, really hampered the tension that build up.

That is something that has been happening quite a few times now. I haven't seen the latest episode (I know anyway what will happen because of the LN) but it was seriously annoying in the last episode. Scenes which asked either for no music at all or something ominous or mysterious had loud, comedic music on top.

So it looks like the head priest's been spreading rumours about Myne having ideas above her commoner upbringing - he's a shifty shit and I suspect he'll be causing her trouble for a long time into the future....

Again too much cut out of the adaptation, but they managed to show that nobility is to be feared, even if you're nobility yourself.

Damuel being a "Low-noble" and has no say when told to know his place by a higher ranking noble (as if he didn't do as he was told there would be sever consequences) also it's shown that Myne can now hold herself well enough for a low-noble not to realise she's a commoner without them being told that she is.

The result is as Ferdinand is above Karstedt and had given the order to protect Myne at all costs, the pair of them will be disciplined for disobeying a knights order and a higher ranking nobles instructions - so they're both in deep-shit.

Myne has grown and did exactly what she should have done as a blue robed priestess (and in doing so has done exactly what Ferdinand asked of her). All she needs to do is perform the ritual well to prove she is worthy of the blue robes and she will have improved her standing.
