Just as the title says, what are your favorite non-Japanese characters in Anime?
This means Canonically foreign characters, not necessarily Europeans born in Japan, but characters from other lands who traveled to Japan or otherwise.

Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass. Not quite sure what nationality he would be in the real world, though. He is from the fictional land of Britannia which originates in England, but the time he was born in Britannia moved over to America. So I guess he is American by nationality but British by ethnicity.

I would sponsor a comedy anime about the royal family, May, and Corbyn. It would be the funniest thing of the century.

Almost all of my immediate favorites are either clearly not Japanese or not stated to be, like Jim(Australian), Lavi(does he count, since he's a mixed breed?), Lambo(Italian), Yogi(He's from a fictional world but i'm pretty sure he's not Japanese lol), Zazie(Well, he's from a fictional world too but it looks more European than anything), Mahmut(Turkish).

There's also, Edward and Alphonse Elric(Fictional world that seems European again), Heimdall(He's a Norse God), Fai D. Flourite(Fictional world again), Xerxes Break(Didn't Pandora Hearts take place in England or am i wrong?), Krory(Romanian), Dino(Italian), Lag, Gauche and Niche(same fictional world as Zazie),
Beyazit(Turkish), Chocolat(She's a witch from another world), Ai(fictional world again).

Isaac Dian and Miria Harvent from Baccano. No contest.

I guess Spike Spiegal counts, too, though his actual ethnicity is never discussed (other than the fact he was born on Mars, lol).

I think you've misread my post. Lelouch doesn't move to America. The homeland of the Holy Britannian Empire is America. Originally the Holy Britannian Empire's homeland was Britain. But after most of Britannia's troops were diverted to conquer America, Britain fell at the hands of other nations and resistance groups. So, the Empire was forced to relocate in America. This all happened long before Charles or Lelouch were born.

I see, thanks for clarifying, though I actually never grasped that thing then. Guess I know now.

Bryan Hawk is the first guy that leaps to mind since he was just a weapons grade cunt.

My actual one would probably be Canute from Vinland Saga, he was really irritating at first but then really got to grow on me.
