I thought this was at least better episode that gives me hope next arc will be good to wrap up this season nicely after long run of lackluster episodes but still almost half of this episode spends on backstories/flashback scenes and not to mention its quite frustrating to see almost 4 minute of recap. Also have to say some of the visuals were amazing and can be cool gif material like the wind spiral flames.

Pretty okay episode. Inasa's reason for hating Endeavour looks more stupid in the anime than it did in the manga.

With this, the hero license exam arc comes to an end, 3 episodes less....

We're about to get their introductions folks.

That flame tornado was animated beautifully! I am sure Midoriya will pass this test. Bakugo probably won't but perhaps Todoroki & Inasa not as well. Tsu-chan with that camouflage surprised me!

I really hope Bones doesn't go to the same route as Toei or Studio Pierrot, specially it's a seasonal anime which makes it worse and inexcusable.
Finally the worst arc in BHA is over and Bones didn't help it with their unnecessary fillers and drag out. Can't wait for the next few episodes and next season.

Funny fact when you mentioned Studio Pierrot.... last Tuesday's Black Clover with like an 8 minutes of recap, I can honestly live with 4:30 minutes of recap compared to that XD

The current exam sucks (saving fake civilians), no sense of danger, very childish, lacks difficulty, full of contradictory and just straight up cringey. And they just pulled a lame af drama between these two, just coz this bald fanboy gets rejected by both father and son, lame af, we done with Shoto's also edgy and boring backstory, needs to stop bringing that shit back

Todoroki and Inasa childish fight was quite stupid yes, but considering the high demand regarding to heroes I could see this happening even with the pros. (now I'm wondering how did Endeavor reach number 2)

As always Midoriya saves the day, I really hope he's at the top considering how hard he worked. As for Kacchan, I think he failed considering how he participated. As for Todoroki, I think he should let go of his past especially his hate towards his father because it always affects him. He should've acted differently towards Inasa, but because he's still hung up in the hate he became like that.

Can't wait for the next, since it features Bakugo and Midoriya conversating about his quirk. I wonder what's he gonna say?

Action was stellar this episode but the OST was amazing.

I didn't really care too much for the Todoroki and Inasa story so it wasn't the best episode, but atleast this episode really had style and passion showcased from Bones.

He wasn't only "edgy" because Endeavor rejected his autograph, there's much more on that. He admired him because he saw passion on him, but in the end he realized that his "passion" were actually blind rage. On his flashback he says "Because there was nothing on his eyes but blind rage" (Or something like that) Then he approaches Todoroki and well, he saw exactly the same on his eyes, he was disappointed. This is very similar to the Stain case and that lead him to hate them both. (Considering that one of Shiketsu got scolded because he was very close to Stain's Ideology, it isn't hard to assume that maybe he got influenced a bit because of that)

I'm not really trying to excuse Inasa's childish actions, but well, I'm pretty sure that not every pro hero succeeded on their first try for similar reasons and making very childish rants, we all were kids once.

That's what I got from this "Shallow drama", Maybe you are not that invested on Inasa neither Todoroki and that would be more understandable.

Man.. what an episode.

We got to know Yoarashi a little better, a few flashbacks to his character and his hate towards Endeavor.
"It's like he hates something far ahead of him"

Todoroki is still conflicted about his father and his past, Yoarashi talking about his reasons for his hatred brought this up again.

The cooperation between them against Orca was amazing though. Orca is such a fucking badass.

Kind of surprised me that the villains had restraining protectors, but like orca said, they might have lost this anyway if the examination would have gone on for any longer. Even without the limiters.

The OST's that played during this episode were absolutely legendary. The music of this anime is something else. Animation was also top notch.

That was the first time that I fully listened to the ending song, its kinda awesome.

Let's see what the finally of this season will look like.

Bro, I like this show, don't get me wrong it's just really this 3 recent episodes, started in episode 19 as I've said in episode 19 ⬇️

PureAgiMaxReborn said:
This has got to be the most boring episode of BNHA ever, and the cringiest too, when Deku corrected his mistake with that forced af smile, I was like wtf is this shit, is this a try not to cringe episode challenge?

The instructors especially Eraserhead is all like yeah surprise surprises more surprises it's good for them, and then comes the rescue BS, the "kid" Deku is rescuing basically told Deku what to do, and the other fake civilians too, with wind guy and Kacchan, don't do this do that they say, so what's the point if the participants can just correct themselves. Yeah they'll just count the mistakes but still, it's kind of dumb and contradictory

@HereticHunter well the author just made a piss poor job on trying to make me invested on them now with that shallow drama, Shoto's issues was already kind of shallow to begin with anyway, and I thought we're done with that, Deku solved it, basically rinse and repeat drama by the author.

Great episode, although admittedly I was initially expecting and looking forward to a lot more action!

Gang Orca v Todoroki and Inasa was a brilliant fight, massively thanks to the masterful ost. I didn’t think their last encounter would have been as such, but poor Inasa being treated like that by Endeavor. It’s a legitimate, I suppose, reason to hate him and his son, who shares the same eyes or so but definitely not in a battlefield with aplenty of villains. It was nice to see them put in some last minute teamwork and overcoming their past issues, though. Sadly, to no avail but nevertheless a good sign for the future. Although I must admit that I think this whole drama concerning Todoroki in particular, and now with the addition of Inasa, has been a little to the downgrading side. It just feels the writer wanted this test to go on for whatever reasons. Slightly disappointed, that’s all.
On another note, just when we got to see Deku in action, the test ended and that got me a little furious for a second. I do believe Deku will definitely pass, but I’m not too sure what his expression in the end there was about. I’m sssuming he’s shocked to see Todoroki out something of the sort, but who knows. I wonder why Bakugou didn’t spring in to the action though, because I certainly thought he’d have been the first to pick a fight against Gang Orca and all the other villains.

Next episode preview and title seems to be a very catchy one, so I’m very much looking forward to that.
Will he, and possibly All Might, reveal the truth to Bakugou, and will they be able to keep this under wraps? Can’t wait to find out!

Just 4 Episodes now! I hope we get news of a Season 4 in the few coming weeks because I need more of BnHA, come on Bones!

THE BEST EPISODE OF THE EXAM ARC!
DAMN THAT OST WAS 10/10, I really need the song played at the last part of the fight, when Deku was looking into the fire tornado and that music was playing (after the hairy guy appeared)... holy shit it was sick.

I wonder if we gonna see my boy Mirio in this season, because the Deku vs Bakugou fight can easily end in 2 episodes (22 and 23), so 2 more episodes left to make the total of 25? more filler episodes or the introduction for The Big 3?

I just love BNHA, but I can't understand some people, like, guys criying about drama and the exam being too "childish and easy"... is a exam to be licenced heroes what do you guys want? kill 50% of the students? I know it's almost a joke to compare the 2 series, but this isn't Naruto with the Shunin exam, go watch that instead of criying over a series that you guys will never like just because you guys like to act all critic and edgy for not liking popular animes/mangas.

PD: sorry for my bad english.

Besides the obvious highlights of Deku vs Muscular and All Might vs All for one, season 3 has seemed quite weak. A few episodes have got me excited, but over all the entirety of season 3 hasn't been as good as s1 or s2. It needs to pick up in the next few episodes to redeem itself, or I may start fearing for the future of the series. I hear rumours from manga readers that there will be an awesome fight
coming up, so I look forward to seeing how that will cap the series off. Next episode looks interesting, as well.

I'm surprised people hate this arc so much. At least for quirk development and showing what class 1A can do, this arc seems necessary. The first part of the exam was more exciting though with the end of part 1 predictable but still done well enough. Inasa is the only blackhole for me. He's the most boring of the shiketsu high guys with no dimension to him at all. The others at least have something more to them.

Bakugo could pass bc he did help rescue people and the HUC kept rationalising his rudeness. Todoroki and Inasa not so much

The story was great though, the MAJOR issue with the Yakuza arc was its weekly pacing and the breaks Hori took between chapters. The anime'll most likely fix the pacing issues and overall improve upon the source material, which imo is already really good, there's so much great characterisation both in the story and the fights themselves. The final act especially is probably going to be Bones' best work with the scale of everything too.

And as always Gang Orca is really well designed, he really looks like a villain! And he seems to be strong!

I dont believe that confront between Todoroki and Inasa, it was a great Mistake, because they can reprove cause of that mistake! If they had used their powers together it would be different! Btw Fire tornado looks so nice and strong! At least they fighted together at the end!

I think Midoriya will pass for sure, he really did a lot, his Kick in Gang Orca at the end was too strong! Gang Orca said at the end, if the fight had continued, he could lose! Tha means that we have a good set of Heroes!

Bakugou this time didnt shine, im really affraid that Bakugou dont get aproved! Lets pray!

Hyped to see next episode, looks like Midoriya and Bakugou relationship will get some development.

I think they won´t pass but Deku will. He did well, saved this one kid and helped the rest of the people. When GangOrca attacked he also helped, so he has to pass

Continuing the hero exam, Gang Orca's appearence leveled up the difficult of the mission. For me, Inasa's problem with Todoroki is just a bad joke, it felt like a filler problem trying to give more tension to the scene where they both got Orca in the hurricane.

Execellent visuals.

now on today's episode, love this one as it shows that teamwork is so important that todoroki has struggle a lot because he have encountered an ENDEAVOR hater...

So basically Inasa hates Todoroki and Endeavor for something Endeavor did to him as a child, while I do understand why he would hate Endeavor, I'm with Shouto on this one, It literally has nothing to do with him. LOL don't take you're anger out on the son over something his father did.

Love Isnasa's enthusiasm and his weird ass personality, and he's a HAWTY, but I feel like his anger towards Todoroki is misdirected, if you hate Endeavor, hate ONLY Endeavor. Todoroki had nothing to do with that altercation. Just my thoughts on that whole situation.

Personally, I wasn't satisified by the revelation about where Inasa's hate for Todoroki stems from.
It was obviously going to be about Endeavour but while I could see the flashback and inner thoughts working in the manga because of its limited space on the page, I felt as though it used up too much screen time, making it seem more important and therefore disappointing, since the reason for Inasa's hate isn't that deep.

Not saying that it needs to be unnecessarily overcomplicated, I just couldn't bring myself to take Inasa's anger and disdain as serious or feel any emotional reaction to it, because I was never given any reason to care for his passion about Heroes in the first place and the implications of what it meant for him to be treated like this back then aren't subtle enough for me.

Imagine if someone who's had Deku's or Iida's backstory would've encountered Endeavour in a similar manner, their resentment would've seemed much less generic and unspecific and created an interesting backstory/ unique motivation for becoming a licensed professional.

At first I did enjoy Inasa's character and I still dig his design but with that strong buildup, I expected more of the conflict between the two/ three and Inasa's motivation itself.
