| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ooh, the new OP song looks nice. It does feature the other Elite 10 members although the style still feels very similar to all the previous seasons. We got Souma and Erina interaction right off the bat. Picking up from the previous cour/season, it makes sense I guess. There's still glimpses of Erina's dark past. This episode actually focused on Erina way more than I had expected but I don't think that's a bad thing. It also showed happier moments of her life when she's with Alice. Well, Erina's past is definitely important. The food fluff looks sensational as usual. I mean, they can even make eggs looks delicious so that's something. |

| Not my favorite opening,but I like it and from what they've shown they're going to adapt as much as expected. Boi am I hyped for some moments. Episode was great as always and we got more focus on Erina. Seeing her as she enjoyed Jouichiros cooking was so cute.She also finally fell for Souma(s)food). Funniest moment was provided by Hisako this time xD |

| Great restart to the second cour. The OP is okay but I love the ED. :D Erina was so adorable this episode, especially that shot of her when she entered Souma's room. <3 It was real nice to see kid Erina enjoy Saiba's cooking, sucks that her love for making food was poisoned by her Dad and the countless tasting sessions. :( Loved the montage of Souma and Erina's previous interactions, soundtrack was so on point there. I also really liked how they superimposed Souma and his Dad when they mentioned the same thing about how cooking needs to be fun for them. Glad Souma was able to rekindle Erina's passion for food. :) Polar Star Dormintory!! Fighto!!! Let's beat those exams! |

| YES, My favorite Shounen Protag is back. I miss Souma' troll face. Kinda like this cour OP. But still Season 1 OP2 is the best. Great way to start second cour. Especially the moment when Erina remember how the cooking she used in the past. |

| A great restart for this series. I absolutely loved this and the art looks better than what was displayed in the first part of Third Plate. I'm reading the manga and I can say this. Shit gets really good. |

| It's great, as expected from shokugeki no souma. Seeing characters like Jouichirou (Saiba), Erina and souma are always fun to watch, really all the characters in this series are super fun to watch. I just remembered that. As expected from shokugeki no souma the opening is great (not my favorite by a long shot though) the ending is great as well in my opinion. The soundtrack is as good as always. 4.5/5 Definitely going to enjoy this as much as I enjoyed its prequels. |

| Well from the looks of the OP it seems like this season will be adapting as much as possible. I just hope it doesn't feel too rushed. This episode adapted 5 chapters, omitting some things that I assume will be rearranged to appear later. Still, it was a good start and a nice return for the show. |

| Pretty good episode. I liked how this one focuses on Erina and what Soma's dad means to her. I lol'd at how Soma didn't get an answer from Erina after she ate the dish. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| 4/5 for me about this episode. Cocky characters always annoy me. So the tsundere is gonna lead the parade... haha... lets see where this will be going. Looking for more badass Soma, crushing everyone aside. |

| It's back and was great as always! This arc should be great too and soon we will have one of my favorite battles of the series so far. I wonder how S4 is going to tackle a certain part of the arc though... Should be interesting to see. I actually think that the anime of shokugeki is more enjoyable than the manga because of pacing issues and that the voice acting is great so it'll be worth seeing if S4 can save the bad part of the arc. At least this cour will cover a really good part of the arc |

| *haaaah* Here we go once more. Ironically for an anime about food, this has become quite stale over time for me. It's still a decent anime, don't get me wrong, but I feel like we're increasingly just painting by the numbers here. Certainly doesn't help that (I'm assuming) the focus this season will shift more towards Erina... she's always been one of my least favorite characters in the entire anime :| O well, this week's dish was, as usual, pretty nice and actually somewhat cleverly made. Hopefully this arc is gonna be better than I feel it will be. |

| Erina must be so surprised at who Soma's father really was though. Nice opening that was. Central has streamlined the exams so that only those that follow their techniques will pass then. But Erina telling Soma this is indicative of the trust that she has developed for him though. Looks like Erina's desire to oppose her father was awakened by Soma's dish. A great return to the series. The rebellion begins now huh. While the episode focused mostly on Erina thats not really a bad thing as she too has a reason to fight as well. It was nice that we got to see Erina's past as well as this is important to her too. |

| Part two of Season 3 of my favorite cooking series is finally here. I hope the pacing won't be too rushed based from what I saw in the new Opening. Glad to see one of my favorite scenes with Erina are finally getting animated especially her development and interactions scenes with Souma. Also liked the flashback part of Erina with her embarrassed stomach growl and Grandpa Nakiri being used as Jouichirou's test subject. Lastly, the beginning of the rebellion against Central thanks to Erina's courageous speech. |

| This reminds me a lot of the first episode of season 1, like how they met and all those lil souma tickling naked erina xD Its a great start since they all know which path they will go to and will lead the next following episodes. |
| Finally, it's back! After the first season, Yukihira finally got his revenge on Erina but she doesn't want to admit it xD So Erina finally got it and now will fight against her dad. |

| Good to see this part of the anime getting adapted. Erina's growth as a character really shines in this part of the series so I'm excited to see it again. Also, she's clearly channeling Mulan vibes right now: "Let's get down to business, to pass the exams!" Anyways, randomly thought though. With Azami's vision for gourmet cooking, he literally wants the world to starve. If food isn't cooked in accordance to his vision and he wants to bring the essence of true gourmet to life, basically he is only intending to feed the upper class. Everyone else in the world has to deal with scraps. If Central takes over the world, the plebs will die. Inaccurate opinion but it just makes me feel like that's how his shit would roll XD. |
