| Great episode. I wondered last week which girl would get seasick, I hadn't guessed that ALL of them would lol. Loved the exhaustion after the workout scenes, galley duty, but the best was them taking ownership of the fact that they CHOSE to be there and then reached down, grabbed their resolve in both hands, and overcame adversity. Loved the flowers for her mother at the end. |

| too many great moments so i'll just say the directing is still top tier longest time i wondered about her bangs and so did the rest of the girls lol. this show hasn't had a bad episode yet and this was a another good one but after all the fun it ended on a sad note :( |

| This episode gave a fine impression of how grueling sea travel can be. The part where they don't realize Dramamine wears off! LOL. Also the endurance exercises running along the deck with the ship being a lot larger when you're running as opposed to just strolling along. The climactic scene when the girls decide to brave the storm and waves was sheer magic! That lovely insert song..... |
| Eight episodes in and I have yet to find anything to complain about this anime! It just keeps on getting better and better and better by each passing week! It is really becoming one of the genuine contenders for AOTS for me! Watch out Yuru Camp! Every time the insert songs kick in in this anime makes me feel rejuvenated! That's how amazing they have been. Add to that, the humours and fun moments are spot on most of the time! This anime makes it feel all too real. I feel like I am really on a journey with these four adorable girls! The difficulties they are overcoming, the passion they are showing, the experience they are having, everything these girls are going through makes me feel really close to them! Eight straight 5/5s. |

| Seasick and puke episode. Riding a ship for a long time must be hard. Also, the scene where they're going out on the storm was amazing, but in real life it could be very dangerous lol Lucy-is-onemagic said: From the ED credit the title is 'One Step', the vocal are the 4 main characters.The last part was awesome. | Ha! Typical voyage problems. It was refreshing to see them doing what I experienced years ago as a sea cadet. Now that I'm a full-fledged officer it's rather ironic that I can't even experience what they're doing now: going to Antarctica! :_; AbeldeMedici said: Yes, normally the crew would prohibite anyone going out there with the storm. The issue is that the girls themselves are part of the crew, and the adults already had their hands full. As for the door itself, I am not familiar with expeditionary ships but due to the nature of the climate they're going to encounter I think they should have some kind of hard-lock system. Could also be that as part of the crew they were taught how to open them, trusting that nobody would be reckless as Kimari XD Well actually it's not that farfetched as a hard lock system but usually it's a system composed of a watertight sealed door with dogs or wedges coupled with a normal fireproof door and a compartment in between. Haha indeed, if it were done irl you could've been reported for non-conformity to safety regulations (going outside in inclement weather), that is if you're caught, and risk being in a man-overboard situation. But hey, we need it for the drama and a dose of S E I S H U N, y'know. And this is one show that delivers it just right. |

| Watching this show reminds me of why I love anime so much and how powerful and real it can be, compared with "western" animated stuff. Great episode, great show. I've never been to Antarctica (well of course I haven't!) but I feel this is exactly what the journey by ship would be like. |
Kimari and friends with those interviews was so cringy. Shirase with that smile and then afterward with the microphone xD I've never been on a boat that is moving so I don't know about sea sickness. They should have carried medicine at least. These girls exercised without properly stretching as well, i'm surprised Kimari didn't get a cramp. Must be pretty difficult to not fall down in a ship during turbulent weather. The girls watching them huge waves, dumbest thing ever. They got lucky they didn't get pulled to sea. Overall it was a rather fun episode. |

Never got seasick though. But I don't like reading while on a moving vehicle. I will get sick then.. "Last time this desk was up there." These waves are serious business. They actually showed the boat tilting from within the bedroom. Cool. Oi...I know you girls are excited to be out in the storm and all...but after that crazy stunt, shouldn't all of them have gotten sick with a cold? Even I'm not that crazy. I wouldn't risk my health right before I reach Antarctica. I'd be completely useless... Antarctica is straight ahead. I hope that ship is equipped to tackle on a few icebergs... |

| I'm enjoying this series more and more every week, its so rewarding to watch these girls overcome what they have in both comedic and emotionally touching fashion. |

| You don't go out on a boat unprepared when the sea is like that with such a storm. I will just suppose their cabin is quite high on the boat, which is then less dangerous. Even like that, knowing the force of tons of water, I was a bit frightened just thinking this could be real. Well it's anime. In RL, some people might have died like that. Never underestimate the ocean! |

| Lol The ugly hair mystery is finally solved... I think I preferred this anime when they were still on land, trying to figure out a way to actually go on this crazy journey, but I'm still enjoying it nonetheless, and is still my AOTS currently. |

| That was a hilarious experience inside the ship especially the seasickness and exercise routine. Eat.Puke.Exercise.Sleep Finally they're about to reach their destination, the excitement has field me up. It's no more just an OP Antarctica flashes scenes, it's gonna be really an Antartica tour. I wonder if there will be really a landsickness after their land fall, as said by the lady cook. |

| This episode hit quite on the nose, the turbulence you inevitably hit when pushing yourself forward. Then fires you right back up because we don't resign to the problems that arise, This was our choice! We will accept them, learn to appreciate them and overcome these trials to reach the future life we have always wanted. The boat = their journey(duh) The waves = the trials(it won't always be smooth sailing) ;) Got to love that this show can make even these slower episodes have strong meaning and symbolism and they still hit us right in the feels by the end. |
| This anime is a masterpiece, at first I had my doubts, but every episode, every scenario, every character interaction, the soundtrack, everything is just perfect. Each chapter has its own meaning, portrayed by the animation. The adventurous feel on this anime is really strong. God I wish many SoL and Moe anime were like this, always moving towards a goal. Definitely AOTS and highly contender for AOTY |

| These girls must have a death wish for getting on the deck during the middle of a raging storm. Jesus Christ. Pretty good episode. The humor is also on-point! I chuckled pretty hard when Mari made that super profound motivation speech, with Hina responding by leaving the room all valiantly only to intercut with her saying "Toilet." Excellent comedic timing there. I have to also give props for the amazing character animations and directing this episode that really highlight the girl's individual personalities and quirks, especially amidst all the struggles and obstacles they have to overcome together. These series keeps impressing me with how well they depict the cast to make them truly come to life. Will they finally make it to Antarctica next episode??? This series has spent WAY more time getting to Antarctica than actually spending time at Antarctic, which is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, its less about the destination, but the journey that counts. |

| I never got sea sick at all when on a ship for long time. In fact it was fun to feel big waves, though a large ship doesn't rock very much. It felt almost like I was on land. When you sleep you will feel a bit of a rocking motion every once in awhile. its the smaller boats that rock like crazy. They had some really bad sea state in this episode. Sounds fun lol. Still I'm kind of shocked all 4 of them got sea sick. When Shiraishi yuzuki was first introduced, I thought she was a bit weak link in terms of characterization and background. But I came to like her personality the most. And that voice. I love it. |

Just like the incident when they entered as one of the older girls was doing her makeup and caught her in an awkward situation. It really showed the level of their maturity and how innocent the girls are and I found it incredibly real and cute. It's a fantastic way of telling the story and I love the anime for this. It again showed Hanada Jukki is probably one of the best scriptwriters/ series composers in the industry right now. :) |

| Brilliant episode! I felt the pacing was on point as it didn't feel slow and there was much progression made. Loved how the girls found the training bit tough and got seasick. The episode had an underlying message temporary difficulty bringing forth a fruit, and that was how it felt like when they could see Antarctica. Really looking forward to the next five episodes, I have a feeling Madhouse will really push the show to its better limits. |

| Exciting and interesting as an episode. The protagonists are too hilarious, but the exit out of the deck during the rough sea, I found it a little untrustworthy and dangerous to do. Excellent facial reactions of the characters, are an element that I'm always appreciating in this anime series. The background song is catchy in the final part. |

| The girls being sea sick was funny and can relate too, but it seems they overcame it with reminding themselves they made their choice and are sticking with it. Anyway they are closer to Antarctica they should be strong and keep that resolve. |

| -somehow the art looks... different in this opening scene -seems like this is an actual expedition-focused episode with the whole training thing -wait they might all literally die if they can't jog a full lap around the boat -alright i found the mari hair gag to be pretty outright hilarious -i want to say this is because of food poisoning rather than seasickness -also they're having it pretty hard -just realized this entire episode is a vomit fetish episode -but shirase the earth is flat -is yuzuki alright -oh she spoke -shirase is probably gonna be the last girl standing if i had to make a guess -mari dropping those casual death flags -what -how is this in any way a good idea -and then they all got hypothermia -hey they're wearing the jackets they were wearing in the ED So this episode didn't stand out too much like the previous ones did. I'm not exactly sure why, but it probably has something to do with how the comedy took the backseat to the whole seasickness plot. There was still that one gag that involved Hinata getting up to use the bathroom, or the hair gag about Mari, but overall the comedic moments felt less in intensity than the ones in the previous episodes. I will not deny that the content of the episode wasn't important, but it just felt like this show's greatest strength up until now were the wacky antics the main 4 ended up getting into, and I'm not getting that general feel from this episode. Maybe it's just because the Singapore episode just outclasses this one in every possible way. Well, other than them actually getting to Antarctica, which should be interesting if the hints dropped in this episode and all the previous ones are anything to go by. |
