Dang, I almost feel bad for Cocytus. The fact he failed and is ashamed by his defeat hurts his own pride.

Rather, Ainz is making his next move and there's a plan to make the Lizardmen as part of Nazarick. Quite an interesting development episode. Cocytus' role just became really important considering Ainz's new objectives.

For the Lizardmen's side, they have to deal with this new undead army and Ainz's guardians.

They came out in full force now and Cocytus will become the Lizardman's greatest obstacle. An unmovable wall.

Best episode till date.

Really liked the end of the meeting where Ainz urged all the guardians to think of their own will about what's best for Nazarick.

The procession was so damn cool.
Ainz was real boss at the end especially with the way he intimidated the lizard men at the end.

That ending though, kinda expected it. xD

Looking forward to Cocytus fighting the lizard men.

Wow, the royal procession was amazing, Ains really knows how to make an entrance. I hope the lizarman story has a happy ending, and Ains shows them some compassion, they surely deserve it.

Yeah, I thought they wouldn't include this part in the episode since i saw it was ending... but they did it at the last second HAHA.

I wonder if they'll include another scene... it'll be so funny if they do (next episode).

Great episode, even though i already read the manga. Demiurgus' mind control was badass

Get ready for the "lizardmen" scene next week (or no)

Damn, now that was quite an impressive entrance Ainz put on for the lizard tribes. This whole episode was very absorbing, even though most of it amounted to a conversation between Ainz and his guardians. And that ending! Lizard love making on the horizon! XD Seriously though, really looking forward to the fight with Cocytus next week.

This arc is so boring, though it's a good adaptation of the LN/manga it's no way close to be an interesting nor an epic arc.

They are going to use half of the episodes for this shitty arc, and then rush volume 5 and 6 which are way better arcs. I hope this doesn't happen because i liked this show a lot.

I thought this was a great setup episode, and even though there wasn't much in terms of action, I still feel that this was the best episode out of the 4 that have aired so far.

I really liked the scene with Ainz speaking with all of his guardians, setting up this plan to get the Lizardmen to submit to him. His royal procession was also cool as fuck, Ainz sure knows how to make an entrance.

LOL that ending though. Straight to the point. Well, if Zaryusu is gonna die, he should definitely smash before it happens.

MAL needs to add a feature that lets you like other people's forum comments, because this is pure gold right here.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Sasuga (wa), Ainz-sama!

And so it begins...

Also: "I must find someone who I can learn Kingship from!" - oh boy that foreshadowing... too bad it would only really be relevant in a possible season 3. Not to mention he only just showed that he can already do it, right after saying that.

Can't wait for Cocytus to show up and slaughter all those idiots. Ainz showing his OP-ness again.

I know that it's wrong but I hate every moment of the show where Crusch and Zaryusu are getting close.... It just creeps me out, maybe it's because I hate lizards and all reptiles in general. That ending creeped me out.

Now this feels more like the Overlord I enjoy in season 1. I really hate to see another fight among Nazarick themselves. As the OP suggest, we seems to be getting Ainz vs Demiurge. We already seen that in season 1 with Ainz vs Shalter. Not looking forawrd to see another one.

Finally what I was waiting for. If time was divided between Nazarick and Lizards more evenly in previous episodes beginning of this season wouldn't be so tedious. It's weird to stay but horny lizards make for a better romance story than most rom(com) anime.

This is what actually makes Overlord a worthwhile anime. It's how Ainz act as the leader, with all his knowledge and experience, also his antics of being an Overlord and how he choose to be either a ruler, master villain, saviour, or a god to the people around him..
This episode definitely a great watch... can't wait for next one about Cocytus fight scene!!

Ainz knows they aren't sheep. If anything, he said he would've preferred [goat]. It's a matter of whether Demiurge was hiding they were human or not.

A.) I'm simply giving a wink to people who caught on to that interaction.

B.) Ainz said he would have preferred goat, not knowing it's not an animal.

C.) Reaction-wise, in this episode, do you think Ainz has any inkling as to what creature Demiurge is using? See B.

Going by his internal monologue, he most definitely did NOT make the connection, and he actually said he would prefer goats to sheep. :x When I heard "Two-legged Sheep", I remembered that it's a synonym for "Long Pork", thanks to Koihime Musou. ~_~;;

I don't think it's either in this case, as chimera was brought up. It just increases the chances of it being humans if Demiurge thinks of humans as "Long Pork." You have to remember that most of Nazarick disgust humans. Of course, some even think of them as food. Demiurge may liken them to lab rats (guinea pigs) even.

This episode firmly cements that this show still has what so intrigued me from the first season: It's all a real game. When I say real I mean that the stakes are high as Ains cannot discern anything he's feeling or doing as being not real whether through simulation or otherwise. The game part he provides himself through the confidence offered by his immense power, he's just roleplaying the evil Overlord and trying to have fun as shown in the bed scene.

Man it's the same kind of feeling I get when playing Sim City or Civilization games with cheats on. You know that you can at any point destroy or create whatever, whenever, but because you can do that you are safe in doing other things. "Doesn't matter if I fuck up, I'll just clear everything away and start over".
