| Hands down one of the best new shows this season |
| When Yuzuki cries and Hinata and Shirase blame Mari. Ha ha ha. There is great balance between humor and emotional scenes in this. The shift between is not too awkward. The characters behave in consistent ways so far. Shirase is determined, but she is not a forceful enough person to talk with Yuzuki's talent agency. Hinata is a more brave girl than Shirase and Mari is reliable, but more of a dreamy type. The three needed each other to get to the point that they can add Yuzuki, or Yuzuki can add them to the expedition. I'm now stoked to see what happens next! |
| Poor Megumi ;-; I hope this gets resolved before they set off to Antarctic (which is most likely going to be next episode). So far, I am REALLY impressed by how this show manages to characterize all of its cast so well in just a couple of episodes. The visuals and animation are also surprisingly consistent, no complaints here. This season is just so stacked with potentially great shows that I am hype every week to see which show brings something new to the table. A Place Further Than the Universe has not disappointed, and exceeded my expectations greatly. |

| Each episode is better than the last. This week we were introduced to the fouth and what I'm assuming is the final member of the group, Shiraishi. I'm really liking Shiraishi's character and I think she's going to be a nice addition to the group Other then that, the music was beautiful the emotions were running wild. It drags you down then pulls you right back up. 9/10 |

| It's nice to see that even while remaining a typical silly genki girl, Mari still acts as a connecting link for all her friends. And I was also glad to see the "hot" embrace between Saori and Inori, lol. Yuzuki is a pretty cute character, her uniform even reminded me of Maria-sama, especially in combination with an intelligent personality. I enjoyed this episode, since they spent more time on exposure, character development and increased amount of humor, while avoiding any trivial fanservice. In general, so far the show is clearly moving in the right direction. At least I have not seen slice of life for a long time, which relies on the plot and the development of the characters, not on fanservice. |

| The dream sequence really got me by surprise. Otherwise, this show is very predictable. For example, I can already predict that this will be one of the best shows this season, and that I will rewatch it as soon as it finishes airing. |

| "I'm starting to get how this girl works." That's all I needed to hear! Shirase's socially awkward reactions were priceless this episode. Asking the others to make a phone call, then shying away when she's made to do it, pulling the pamphlet, seeing the penguin, and my favorite part: Giving in to Yuzuki's *Jii...* LOL! Called it! Yuzuki was the key to getting them to Antarctica. Typical celebrity without friends trope. Funny thing though is that Yuzuki is probably the most normal member of the group, and you need at least one normal member in a group of awkward people. But that ending scene though. |

| A great episode! Yuzuki Shiraishi only ust want true friends...and she finally got it! The way he cried was very touching! Looks like from the looks of it, there would be upcoming problems with Shirase side. 5/5. |

But I also count the fact that writers tend to prolong stuff they enjoy writing. Episode 7 travel-arrival at end of episode 7 would be slow, but forgivable. But later than that then it's a ruin (unless they go for a second cour. But so far no news, so I doubt it will be that case.) |

| The dynamics between the girls are really amazing. There is already a lot of energy in them as a group. I like how they didn't take long before becoming so close in just three episodes. That's right. You don't always have to choose your friends. You can just become close without any intention of becoming friends! Most adorable moments from this episode were Shirase and Hinata leaning onto each other while returning home, Kimari giving Yuzuki a dango-hug, Yuzuki's tears and the four of the watching aurora. I have experienced watching aurora multiple times. Although my experiences are all on the north side of the globe! This anime makes me want to see the ones on the south. This anime continues to impress me. That's 3 5/5s in a row already! |

| Absolutely fabulous episode. I don't know how this show does it, but we're introduced to just one character in a single episode and it doesn't feel rushed, it feels really well done. Same with last week too. There's more personality and love here than in some entire animes. |
| I'm really enjoying this show, the group is very likable and the story feels very fresh. Even thought everyone met recently, they get along as if they have known each other for a while. I felt bad for Yuzuki when those girls showed their true colors, only liked Yuzuki because she is a celebrity. Good to see her have friends now, her crying at the end was touching, it's only been like 1 day and she truly felt their honesty and friendship. |

| I usually don't like episodes that introduce new characters because they almost never move the story forward and I get the feeling of a whole episode wasted when the season is short already type feeling...but for some reason I'm not getting that feeling with this show. It doesn't give me a 'great' anime feeling but the story's moving along and for me, that's a plus. |

Very few anime break out from the 4 girls rule. There are very few exceptions like Tamayura and K-On! I don't see Megumi joining them. She will probably have some part to play in adding some drama. Nothing more. |

| Im kinda surprised how boring this show is. It seems like a show that i would enjoy, but i took me 3 sitting to finish this episode, and 2 for the first episodes. Will keep on watching it though because i feel like it has potential |
| Here this anime has really got me! I love the character chemistry and they seem so real. Yuzuki was introduced very well, given some background and a likeable personality. I think the characters work so well because they don't really fit into tropes. They can all be both eccentric and reserved. I'm sure there will be more obstacles along the way, but things are looking good for now :) |

| -hmmm -hey guys what's up shiraishi here -is that chihiro's VA -is that a boi -never mind it's not, although i wouldn't have guessed that was saori hayami -wait saori voices im@s cg kaede? -the cut-off scream was pretty funny -shirase gonna smudge all the ink -yeah yuzuki doesn't really sound like saori hayami -alright that mad bid for the spot to antarctica was actually pretty funny -somehow the comedy in this episode seems miles ahead of the previous episodes -come to think of it maybe saori hayami just sounded different as yukino because that was the first big role i heard her in -yuzuki... had a hard life, and her backstory actually kinda seems a lot different from the usual shrinking violet -alright there's the mari from the first episode -yeah this episode is a lot funnier than the last one at least -yuri -suddenly love live sunshine flashbacks -holy fuck i can't breathe -also i totally believed that ladder sequence was real -feels bad man -wait was shirase's first instinct to shut the door on her -i dunno this seems kinda fast -shirase's husbando is a penguin, rip -i keep getting LLS flashbacks -yuzuki's catchphrase is pretty ominous So for some reason the girls seemed way more agreeably energetic in this episode than they did in the last one. Like for some reason, I thought Hinata was a lot more obnoxiously loud in the last episode than she was in this one. I just got the impression that there was just more of a justifiable reason behind the yelling, at least in that one scene where they're trying to convince Yuzuki's mom to drag them to Antarctica. That scene in particular was just dripping with desperation, and it just made the whole thing even funnier. Come to think of it, Shirase going so hard and dragging Mari and Hinata everywhere, and those two actually being willing to go along, is probably why I thought this episode was pretty funny. This type of stuff is what I expected from all the antics that the girls were pulling in the OP, so it's actually pretty relieving to see the show start living up to the expectations I had for it. Somewhat related to my expectations of the series, I didn't expect myself to like Yuzuki too much, but she ended up being pretty alright. She seems super sincere and I happen to find that adorable. Even moreso when she got Mari to act like her sheltered, goody two-shoes episode 1 self, which was also pretty entertaining. It seems like there's a pretty decent cast in place for Antarctic antics, but that's something to be evaluated if/when they actually land in Antarctica. And from the very tangentially ominous hints that this show seems to be dropping in recent episodes, if they land in Antarctica, there's really no guarantee all of them will leave the place alive. In any case this episode has made it clear to me that even if it's not in Antarctica the show can still be decent. |

| Has there been a stronger 3-episode start to any series in recent memory? Direction - check. Art - check. Animation - check. Sound - check. VA - oh hell yes. I'm hard pressed to find anything wrong with how this show has been presented so far. Enjoyment level is through the roof. When you have Hayami friggin Saori as possibly the weakest link so far, you know you've got something special going on. She might just turn on her inner Jabami Yumeko and that will just bring this show over the top. Kudos to whoever is making this thing. It has the potential to be the absolute best anime I have ever watched. |

| Hinata has me rolling throughout this episode. Shirase was pretty hilarious as well, but when Hinata bent backwards and just screamed out "ITS NOT THAT HARD" I was done! LOL One thing I really liked in this episode was when Shirashi was like "you guys are all best friends" and everyone looked at each other and were like "Yeah we've only been together a month." Like yeah that's how real life works! If you have a group with the same goal then that's great, you'll be around those people more often but 99% of the time they wont be your best friends. Which is something other shows can learn from this. You cant be best friends after three episodes...maybe after 12 and a trip to Antarctica you can though lol. |
