It's over already?
Well, this is a good series, especially for a mecha fan. It's not perfect, but it is enjoyable. I wouldn't mind for a second season.

So, KidXEleonora is official for now? I think they're the only characters that have their own romance route, and i want to see where their relationship goes.

Overall 7.5/10

The annoying sword-nutjob lived, meanwhile they killed off the ambitious woman with cool character design a few episodes back...can't say I approve of their priorities. She could have had a potential backstory fleshed out like how she got the scar, why she's so dead set on raising her rank, perhaps being screwed over and wants to be on the taking end for a change....meanwhile the sword-nutjob with the ugly haircut is all I can ever see him as.

Overall I think that this was just a meh anime. Nothing really stood out to me or made it special. Ernesti was good but I wish they just made him a gifted engineer instead of a dead programmer sent to another world, but then again he probably wouldn't have had his mech obsession.

I liked this show when they were just building mechs.

This was easily the best part of the anime, their passion for mechs and watching them develop technology was really fun. The fight scenes were flashy but honestly not all that impressive, the design of the mechs however and again, how they develop them, was pretty well done in my opinion. This is kind of like an anime equivalent to the Transformers movies. Looks cool and pretty entertaining on the surface, but lacks any real substance - an unfortunately very average anime.

Kid honestly did more to help win the war than Ernie. He saved the princess and took out the general guy that would of wiped out the army.
The other designer guy is right though. The military have no place for aesthetics. It needs to be practical since lives depends on their success. Kind of unhappy that he lost since his concept as an engineer is what to me is correct. Utilitarian is the way to go.
Civil projects can be fancy but not military.

I wish they just have Kid and princess together already. I know it is impossible or almost so due to social status but still. IDK why people didn't like the ending. Kind of what I expected from this show.
Only gripe is that the drake had stormtrooper accuracy and didn't even scratch Ernie. So much for ultimate final boss villain. Wasn't even exciting to watch because of the lack of struggle. Only interesting dynamic was the engineers battling it out.
And welp, the Zaloudak lost. I hate when series do that. You get defeated in a single battle doesn't mean you lose the war.
"wasted all their resources" is a BS excuse to immediately end a war after that battle. Countries still fight well after a decisive battle.
Like most Isekai anime these days, you don't get the whole other world mentioned ever again.

I enjoyed this series though, fun to watch but obviously flawed.
TBH it feels like a mecha fan's wet dream when he try to design mech himself. Except in an anime form. I kind of like to do the same except not with mechs so still sort of relatable.

A shitty ending for a mediocre anime.

No tension were felt, nothing were at stakes and main villains always got away.

Meh, even earlier episodes where they focused on raiding monsters and finding their weak spot are better than this shit

Decent finale to a fairly good show, to say the least.
Honestly, it was a little bit disappointing because of the excessive cliche in this episode and the whole series really, but it was handled moderately well so no further issues there. Well, it's basically a show that started off so amazingly in the first episode and failed to reach that level in the upcoming remaining episodes. I would love to see more of Kid x Eleonora as ''twas was really the only romantic element of this show.
All in all, a 4/5 to this episode and a 7/10 to the show. I would appreciate a Second Season but I'm not really waiting anxiously for it by no means. A good show overall.

Personally, I think the end of the final battle was really annoying. The reason is that the queen did nothing but what throughout the battle. Meanwhile, her father sacrificed himself by fighting a lost battle just for her to escape. Her character ruined the anime for me, in the few episodes, she was in.

I for one loved this anime so much that I would watch last, and I still do. Ernie was my favorite character this year so far, with his genius persona and great battle skills. I love characters like these who are impressive and have ambition and also growth. Liked how he took down the drake, I love him and has impressed me to be added to my gallery. I am counting on MAL to notify me on the next season, I LOVED IT.

8/10 is my verdict.

I actually find Ernesti a quite annoying, but it's okay since he's a genius gundam otaku fan.

I wish to see Ernesti in an an adult form like the other knights, watching this entire show, war and see a kid command around isn't really my stuff though.

I was wondering, they create such a high tech robot and aircraft and yet still use horse as a land transportation, why didn't he invent a car or bike, and bring more high technology to that world.

Also, why nobody ever wondered the old Ernesti before he awakened? did their parent didn't really smell something fishy there?

Maybe, just maybe, Oratio are also those who died and reborn in that world.

even tho i usually dislike giant robots and stuff like that, having this super fun main guy fungirling about everything, made me actually enjoy this a lot =D

Eleonora, Ady and Helvi (and her boobs) were really cute and fun to watch while some of the guys looked badass enough, and the fights looked nice too

i'm hoping for more (less rushed next time please...)

Duuuuude that final fight was crazy, so awesome. A bit cliche but really well made imo, I literally god goosebumps it was epically over the top, but not to much since there wasn't that much of a build-up to this point. I think it was on point with the overall pacing of the anime.

Some people are saying the anime was a bid shallow, but I think it was sufficient enough the way that it was, it was pure fun and what can I not like about fun. If it was deeper than this there was the danger of messing it up and makkng it feel a bit edgy. I like the quirky fast paced story-telling. I was waited eagerly for the next episode.

Well I thought the show was pretty bad for a mecha anime. The story progressed somewhat in the last few episodes but apart from that the previous episodes were all fillers with boring and nonsensical robot talk that I really couldn't care about. Additionally, I didn't like how they showcase technology as some kind of a joke that the main character easily learns because he was some genius in a different lifetime. And the fact that he doesn't mind sharing this destructive technology with the world and potentially start a world war is laughable. Couldn't the writer come up with a better way to execute this garbage?

As for the characters, the protagonist is some girlish looking boy or whatever with some kind of severe robot fetish and that's about it. While the rest of the characters are more like his lackeys with equally dull personalities who seem like they are just tagging along for no apparent reason.

Maybe it's just not my kind of show.

The show imo isn't as good in the final quarter, the first 3/4 of the series was really anjoyable, some exploration, some mech tech, the last quarter of the series is far too typical for a fantasy series such as this, war and more war. The forced romantic pairing/shipping was also really cringy, especially the one between Kid and the princess.

I wouldn't mind a sequel for this series, it's a lot of fun but I hope that we don't stray too far away from Ernesti because he is the reason this series was amusing to watch.

Well that sure was quite the intense fight and a nice ending to this series I must say!

While I did like the overall setting, the whole series did feel rather generic, and the pacing was really fluctuating a lot making it sometimes difficult to watch.

But in all a decent watch I'd say.

Yeah this was surprisingly easy to marathon. If I could watch about a dozen more series this quickly maybe I'd be caught up with everything I fell behind on during the summer and now fall! If only right? Well anyway this series was....okay? Felt like Saturday morning cartoon fare. Being the old man that I now am I recognize that the vast majority of anime I watch are targeted towards younger demographics than my own, but this in particular felt very "kiddy." I hesitate to use that term as I don't necessarily mean it as an insult. It's just this had a fairly simple premise. Cool giant robot action! Although that said there was a pretty large amount of technobabble included too. But I could definitely see younger kids watching this, collecting the toys which I assume it must have generated and whatnot. Sgt. Keroro would have almost certainly been a fan I imagine. The final clash of wills between the mc and main bad guy scientist even felt like an argument I could see two kids getting into on the school playground over which kind of action figure they thought was cooler. The only non-kiddy thing was the fanservice but even that was rather mild. Just some cleavage shots for a couple characters really, and it wasn't ever really drawn attention to so much as my pervy mind just happened to notice it.

But was it a good show? Well as I said it was alright. Reading the various discussion threads here I'd say easily the number one complaint the community had was the pacing. Apparently this really, really, really blew through the source material at an incredibly fast pace. And, having no knowledge of said source material, I'll admit it did seem at times like the show had its metaphorical fast-forward button pushed down. Though honestly it didn't really bother me much if at all. Hell, I'm not sure how much I'd have even noticed it were it not for all the complaints I read about it in those threads. That aside there was a few random "mary sue" complaints about the mc, and his "robosexual" personality. Again, I could see what they meant to an extent, their point I mean, but it didn't really bother me much either. I did like the vast majority of the main characters just fine, and there weren't any that I really hated. And it was kinda nice to see some besides the mc get some attention at times. Like the male twin's little arc with the princess near the end or the blonde dude who initially chickened out but proved himself by the end. Even the king had a few nice moments. Considering he abdicated for his son in the middle of the series I'm not entirely sure why he was the one to welcome everyone back and offer more rewards and stuff in the end though, but whatever. It probably is telling though that I never really bothered to learn anyone's name so....yeah.:D But uh...well to wrap this up I guess I'll just repeat myself once more and say it was a pretty alright show. Solid 6/10.

I finished this last night after browsing MAL what to watch. Gonna keep it short. So first the MC; he is waay to optimistic and carefree, it seems like nothing fazes him and he does take nothing seriously even if there are people dying left and right. I dont mind OP MC's (i like them) but this kid's personality is too unrealistic.

Next up is the story; why are they like skipping all the story and paraphrasing major battles in less then a minute? They just gloss over them and rush to the next story segement, so shallow.

Honestly the only character that had a good character development and I really grew to like was Dietrich, he seemed as the typical "I'm the best" dude who actually is a coward type of guy but he redeemed himself majorly.

Sry for my english, I just typed this very rushed.

Well it is over.

As a generic show it is quite easy to watch and good to marathon but it suffers from a lot of problems that many people have already pointed out here.

It is too faced paced, The Characthers are pretty much generic and the Story is pretty generic as well.

The Positives is that the Animation is quite good especially the mech designs, The Actions scenes are quite well and you can tell this had a lot of passion for mech enthusiasts.

However that last part is also a double edged sword as aside from mech enthusiasts this does not really appeal to any other audience. I Give it a 7/10 it was a fun ride but nothing noteworthy and will most likely be forgotten with time.

Still i encourage people read the source it is better experience and i hope a s2 might be done but they would take it slower, if not it can stand on it's own.

Why is Ambrosius still on the throne? Didn't he abdicate already? His son should be the current king.

Series wasn't bad. It's generic, even for a 2009 novel, but it's simple to follow and it doesn't try to look complicated, so kudos for that. I'd say animation and mechas were the selling point for this.

So. My taste is pretty different from everyone else. Yes, I enjoy a thrilling plot, but art style and actions and the smaller things usually are more important to me. Plus it has to be entertaining every episode or I get easily bored. Knight’s & Magic does that perfectly with its beautiful style and entertaining subplots and mecha building. Though I guess I am a little sad that nothing was continued with the fact that he’s from another universe and the only mentions of it are when he says robot or when the queen of the secret one’s mentions it.

I was surprised to see Ernesti draw/kinda lose in the last episode and that put a twist. As much as I love how OP he is and how he outshines everyone, it was interesting to see him struggle a little with someone that matches his strength in engineering.

The ending may have been open-ended and I‘m salty when things end on cliffhangers or when there could be a more complete ending, I think it also leaves room to think about what else could happen. Plus knowing the entire show and it’s episodes, I think safe to say we all know it’s just be a continuation of building mechas.

Some of my dislikes I wanna mention are fairly obvious. The girls around Ernesti are super annoyingly clingy, but that’s probably just to be basic as always. I also don’t like how there’s a somewhat romance intertwine with Eleonora and Kid. Some people might not see it and just assume it as friendship, a knight protecting his queen, but it has subtle hints of romance and I don’t really like that cause they’re children. Literally, Kid is twelve along with his sister and Ernesti. I don’t know how old Eleonora is but either way I’m not a fan. Maybe if they were like 15-18 I’ll change my mind but they’re not even in their teens.

The idea that they’re young and doing all this is cool because it shows their ability and amazing talent. It makes them badass. But when romance is involved I don’t really like that part.

Okay that’s all I really feel like saying.

So, an okay-ish show, enjoyable but nothing amazing. Most of the characters are uninteresting and the pacing is way too fast as it looks like it skips some important events. 5-6/10

And my gods I hate that dumb queen and her knight. I hate episode 10 where the universe seemingly bend over to let them finish the melodrama.
