And so it ends. A satisfying finale in my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed the show quite a lot. Not much more to say than that.

9/10.

Since everything regarding Altair was already wrapped up last week it was to be expected that there would an epilogue episode for the closure and it was definitely a nice one.

Overall I can just say that I highly enjoyed this, sure there were some problems with the writing and in retrospect the pacing seemed kinda off too at times, tho I think for most parts it was worth it that they put some effort into dialogues and elaborating the characters as well as strategies and rules, which gave the story a bit more meaning.

Other pros were the fights and OSTs, hell, when there was a bit action it definitely kicked ass. And I was also fond of the idea of a meta story in anime, wouldn't mind to see more of that kind^^

I'm really struggling how I should rate this.. I actually think a 7 would be appropriate, but since I'm totally biased atm I will bump it up to an 8 for now.

This is a very nice show. Though I might say that the ending is quite anticlimactic. I don't have a problem with it since it's a good ending. But there is a part of me that wishes to see Altair again.

And am I the only one here wishing to see a spin-off of the creations in their own world? Lol

It would be really nice to see some OVA stories in worlds of known to us creations like Mamika's, Alicetaria's, Blitz's, Selesia's or Rui's. I would certainly buy the Blu-Ray(s).

hehehehe I liked this show, it is true, this anime and its history have an incredible potential, to take the plot more seriously, it is possible to create a sequel even better and spectacular. Beyond those thems are only opinions and thing of taste.

On the other hand I love that Meteora would not stay alone returning to a world that could never progress. And that she stays in the world of Sota is fantastic! well, she stole the protagonism of Altair from time to time throughout the chapters, and fuck!!!

Well, we do see Magane's "ending" a few episodes earlier, where she is sitting with a briefcase waiting for a plane, just before Setsuna appears.

I want to see a spin-off where Souta and Magane are working on bringing their creations to this world for "fun". They had some chemistry going on there. :D

This show is exactly what a rollercoaster show is. So many ups and downs. I'll rate this show like many rate a cigar.

It starts off slow, with a mild hind of cherry. The middle third slows down with some spice and chocolate flavors. The last third still has a hint of spice but fades quickly. It lasts just long enough to enjoy it.

The last episode wrapped up the show nicely, had we not had the ability to remember 3 episodes back.As far as basic endings go, this show killed it. However, that is not the case. We are still left with open questions. Holes that need to be filled in. A god damn serial killer, with no abilities to create any identity, on the lose. Two creations, where the creator was created and taken by its creation to a created world where the creation of the creator and its creation could live on......CREATE-CEPTION *insert inception noise*

Overall, taking it in as a whole, just for the enjoyment factor, I give it a 8/10. Sadly, there are too many WTF and what if's that knock down half a point. Final judgement= 7.5/10

Side Note

There's something about a show going back to its original OP when a show wraps up to an epic intro to said original OP. You get this sense of completion, fulfillment, satisfaction......goosebumps and headbanging.

Case in point, SAO. The very last episode of S1 ends in a massive rise in the symphony then starting up Crossing Field. Another wonderful ending was Gate. You get the bugle to sound off, leading into the original OP. Both times I flipped out with a shit eating grin and jammed along. There are a number of shows that have done this that gave it a good feeling of closure. Same with RE:Creators. That long note into Gravity Wall was perfect.

That said, part of me was waiting for an after credits scene for a small continuation hint via an OVA announcement. *sigh*

Also,Meteora in plain close, especially the end scene looking cute AF. Let's see how she would stack up in a waifu wars poll. LOL

Surprisingly, they didn't even mention Magane and Altair in the end.
since last week they really focused all the entire episode for Altair and Setsuna, it's fine I guess..

Hopefully Magane's spin off will answer all unanswered question about her after Re:Creators ending.
I kinda hope for Alice and Mamika story as well.. since they seems did crossover story in the end.

overall [8.7 / 10] for Me.. :)

A great show with amazing music, animation, and filled with interesting ideas and concepts. I'm so glad there were so little loose ends and plot holes at the end, in a show like this with the potential of a shit ton of them.

But more to the point, it was a great TV original anime. We need more original anime like Re:Creators, Princess Principal, and the like to be successful in order to make more of them.

Welp, it's been a long ride y'all... it was a pleasure riding it out with you all. :)

Honestly the plot kinda fell apart half way through, and all the exposition via Meteor should've been a red flag... I still find it to be an above average series, though. Last episode was fucking dumb, but this episode did feel like a reasonably satisfying conclusion (Would've MUCH rather seen snippets of them returning to their world rather than the prolonged goodbyes, but oh well.), and it did manage to make me misty-eyed on a few occasions due to some choice music placements.

...Which brings me right on up to the main point(s) I want to make: even if the plot itself was kinda halfassed, the animation for the most part was pretty fantastic; the music was INCREDIBLE (the #1 selling point of this show imo); the characters that came to life were all fun to watch. Those alone are enough for me to give this a 7/10.

Buuuut I gotta admit if I was marathoning this rather than having watched it air weekly, that might've been a 6 with having to sit through blocks of Meteora talking, LOL

After all I was watching in this year, I could said that is one of the best animes of 2017 so far. The bad things about the series is MC personality and the hot spring episode. I highly recommend this anime. My score for this episode is 5/5 and the Re:Creators overall is 8/10.

the final episode is more of what you would expect out of an OVA and as I said last weeks episode was the true finale

It was a touching episode as everyone reflects and says their goodbyes it wrapped all of the emotion of the entire season into one episode

Metora gets to be a creator herself and that was a nice end with her titling her novel Re: Creators

WTF happens to Magane? Is she roaming around in the real world like Metora or what? Did I miss something? Someone help me out here

Anyway it was a good anime overall and I really enjoyed the ride overall...even if there were some low points the anime held up as one of the best of the spring and summer seasons 7/10 for me...I had it as an 8/10 for a while but some of the episodes in the middle dragged the overall score down in my book...but a good anime none the less

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, but found the finale lacking. It was build-up and decent character development, but also showcased new powers that proved useless against Altair. And then Setsuna/Souta saved the day. Not bad, but not as exciting as past interactions in the series. I did get to see a lot of Mirokuji though, which made me smile.

I guess they figured showing Magane at the airport was enough of an ending for her. It would have been neat to see where she went to have fun, but oh well.

A quiet final episode. Not often seen in these days of one-cour shows that hasten along their schedule. I was very pleased to see this.

The climax was a bit foreseeable. I never had any doubt that Souta would create Setsuna as a character, because that's the logical answer. Plus, the secrecy about what he created hinted at that. But since this can be interpreted as a statement of forgiveness solving conflict rather than violence I'm not gonna complain about it.

I really loved this show and I have the feeling its creators put in a bit of a message about their own condition and world that I might have largely missed binge-watching it. But I would easily recommend it to any Anime-Fan, and a rewatch is already scheduled for me.

Aaaaaaaaaaand its all over. The battle has ended, the characters have returned to their own worlds aside from Meteora and from what I can tell since she ain't even show up, Magane, and the anime has come to an end. But not without some well deserved fun and relaxation before their departure, closing the curtains on a pretty good anime.

This was a good anime, not as good as I thought it would be, mainly because they spent a LARGE chunk of time just explaining the situation and such, but it felt pretty worth the wait and I really enjoyed the later episodes. 8/10.

I liked how they dedicated a full episode to the goodbyes. It was nice that they weren't forceful or sappy either, it really suited a lotta the character's personalities.
Well, I guess aside from Blitz, but I guess it's not too far outta the realm of possibility to think that he may have came to accept his position as a creation.

That moment was beautiful, Alicetaria met her Waifu in her world, Mamika was the hope Alicetaria so desperately needed to save her world... ;)

I got the impression that she got inspired by those creations to create her own world and characters. I mean, if I saw IRL creations coming to life, I think a lot of people would find a newfound inspiration to create stories!

Magane just wanted to have fun. If you let her have her fun, she will leave you alone (mostly). She didn't go against Altair in person because she's not that kind of person --- she's not really a fighter (although she's pretty strong and good at dodging) --- she just does whatever she feels like doing. A free soul. A free (twisted) spirit. Ultimately, she helped Sota because Altair wanted to destroy the world, which Magane didn't want (she wants fun... and having the world destroyed would put an end to her fun). She also wanted to see how Altair would react to Sota's creation.

Wish we'd gotten more info on what's happened with Magane since the last episode, but it makes sense for her to disappear given her prior behavior, I suppose.

Overall the series was OK, but I feel like they could've done more with the premise, particularly as it related to the creators "buffing" the characters by writing new stories and "debuffing" Altair (which they briefly discussed in an episode before but never really did anything with). I didn't care for the way they "defeated" Altair either, but it is what it is.

I must give the show props for some cool music and mostly awesome character design though. Just going off the designs, I'd be most interested in Alicetaria getting her own show or, even better, Alice and Mamika together? Sign me up!

It's a 7/10 for me. Maybe a bit generous of a score but it was fairly entertaining.

I think Meteora tried to point out that Setsuna Shimazaki is not a creation after all, but instead, she had been brought to death through Magane Power (time warp, or reset button), thats why she is so perfect even her persona and emotion. Souta gets it because now that he have a closure of what setsuna felt towards him.

Regarding Setsuna, I felt that the thing that broke her heart is that, Souta, the person she need the most, was not there for her when she undergoing those depressing moment. Especially when I felt that, her drawing was directed to Souta after all.

And Overall ending, I was kinda hoping they all stayed and live like normal human, and bring back alicetaria and mamika. Though Im okay with this ending. Blitz doesnt seem like he actually wanna go, and that gaze that her daughter made seem suspicious. and we didnt get any end closure about Magane, since she doesnt get back to her old world, she mustve living as normal human.

P/S they should make Takarada spent some time with alicetaria as well. huhu

Wow. Its to be expected, but I am happy that this anime had a happy ending at least.

I think the reason why Magane is "not" returning to her home world is because:

1. She killed her creator, which means her role in her world is pretty much destroyed (unless somehow it got progressed thanks to fanfiction).
2. Re:Creators is getting another spin-off manga starting Magane, so I am pretty sure fans will be busy waiting for the pages to be out.

In overall, as much I can see why there is no umm.. Screeen time for her, she just doesn't want to be shown or acting all sappy. She's either a future spin-off villain or a anti-heroine. (Which is why I guess I am fine having Meteora being the only one who had to stay and ironically adapt the anime we are watching.)

Great finale episode to end the series, Re:Creators!
It's especially nice to see that an extra episode was sought out for providing this unique show an ideal and conclusive ending, unlike most other anime out there. While this episode, too, lacked certain bits and pieces to achieve perfection, it still did exceedingly well to conclude things off for the anime. We got to know what all the Creations and Creators are up to now, now that they have 'saved' the world from destruction and peril, and it adds up in a chronological and coherrent manner. Furthermore, this last episode was quite the emotional episode but I still reckon it could have done bette read it wanted to. Still fine nonetheless.
However, like any other finale episode, this finale episode still had some certain flaws which slightly hinder the effectiveness of this episode and it's resolution. First of all, where on Earth is Magane and what is going to happen to her now? I imagine that if she were to roam around the world, she'd undoubedtly turn out to be one of the most notorious criminals, no? At least a hint like the Police are after her or maybe her losing powers for whatever reason like Meteora, which is also not really explained decently enough for understanding. Well, maybe the director or the script writer oversaw this little hurdle. Moving on to the second issue, what's going to happen to Altair and Setsune now? Last episode gave hints that they are in some other universe working simultaneously to save each other in some mysterious way which doesn't even make sense wholly. Are they just going to keep on doing that for eternity because I don't think Creations have mortality? Subsequently, who is this Setsune really and how on Earth did Souta make her? I don't remember any form of information or hints given in these last two episodes. Closest I can think of is when Meteora and Souta were seen to be offering their last prayers to Setsune and when Meteora then asked about it. All we got was a delicate smile from Souta and the issue was resolved? Really? Last but not least, the storytelling of this particular series was flawed throughout the course of the show. There were things that didn't add up nor make complete sense. For example, how really did the Creations appear in the first place? I know that Altair did something like drag them out from their different and respective universes but how really? I can vaguely recall Altair simply saying a line of two about it during the final battle but it really wasn't clear enough to deduce it all. Why can Altair only manage to do this by the way? Is it because of all the 'information' she got from the viewers? How did she even appear into the living world in the first place? And thereupon lies plenty more unresolved and unanswered questions and complications...
Despite its flaws and marvelous aspects, this show still did a fairly good job. Animation and Music was top-notch and the Characters were innovative too. Hence, I reckon this show could have been better, in fact a lot better, but it is an anime that is the first of its kind(or at least there's very few like these around) and in that regards, it was indeed great!
Thanks to this last episode, my personal rating jumps from a shaky 6.6 to a more solid and deserving 6.8. More final episodes like these are missing from most of the greatest anime out there, after all.
