At the moment, the most expensive merchandise I have of anime is a Noragami Blu-ray box (Japanese release) that I got for $132. I'm even going to order another Blu-ray set for more than $140. What about you guys?
Help the industry and buy Blu-rays and DVD's.
Noragami is the best anime ever.

Counting for inflation, I'm going to have to say either the two Zoids (forgot the name) set or the three CrushGears (Garuda Eagle, Grifeed, and Dino Phalanx) I had as a kid. I have six Bakugans (Dragonoid, Skyress, 2x Saurus, and 2x Griffon) coming a little short in third place

The randomness, I'm lovin' it.

The most expensive thing though would probably an audio CD of Naruto: Shippuden OST 1

I would say my P.O.P Ace figurine but I got it for $60 instead of the $120 it should have been because of box damage so the 2nd most is $80 Nico Robin Strong World P.O.P figurine. I think. It might be my Madoka fig tho I got it for Christmas so I don't know the actual price lul

The current crown jewel of my figure collection, 1/8th scale Max Factory Sengoku Nadeko, cost about 120€ or so on the site I got it on. Still pretty cheap for a figure but expensive to somebody who has no money, like me :P Went quite a bit over that with the shipping costs and import stuff, but overall 120€ was around the price minus that so I'll just jot that down.

Here's a stock photo of it, I haven't taken any pictures of it specifically yet:

I haven't taken any pictures of my shelf in quite a while actually and this reminds me I need to get around to getting an updated photo of it ._.

------

A close second would be my body pillow. The pillow itself cost about 80€ and the daki cover an additional 30€, not including shipping.

And posting that reminds me that the reason I never take pictures of my merch is because my phone camera is shit >_>

I don't have a lot of extra cash at any given time, so my spending on hobbies has to be conservative. The biggest chunk of money I have devoted to anime is my Crunchyroll subscription. The only actual merchandise I've bought is the first Spice & Wolf LN, which I've read a couple chapters of but have been mostly procrastinating for ages.

On top of that, most of what I'd be interested in buying is a physical copy of whatever anime/manga I'm interested in. I've never cared that much for figures, posters, clothing merch, and so on. (I've lightly toyed with the idea of getting a Gunpla a time or two, but that's about it.) The problem with that is that most of what I'd be interested in owning is out of print (e.g. the Crest/Banner of the Stars franchise), has never been licensed in the West (e.g. Heartcatch Precure!), or is prohibitively expensive to buy (e.g. One Piece).

That's not to say there isn't anything on my radar. There are quite a few Ghibli films I'd like to own that aren't expensive at all, for example, but between the little amount of spending money I have and the above situation I don't wind up buying merch of any sort very often.

Maybe a few years from now I'll have a decent collection going. Who knows?

Edit: The Spice & Wolf LN was $12 iirc. If I like the first one I'll probably get the whole set over some period of time, which could cost around $200 altogether.

I own fifteen volumes of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga as well as one of the regular novels, so it's definitely the series I've spent the most money on.

A lot of my stuff is admittedly cheap because whenever I have money I want to spend it immediately.

Neon Genesis Evangelion subbed VHSes. And yeah... Subbed VHS was more difficult to get, and the fact I own it twice over in VHS subbed and dubbed... And have the perfect and Platinum DVD collections....

So the VHSes:worth less now than when I bought them.

The DVDs? Perfect is worth double what I paid and Platinum more than triple. It is actually sold 5 times what I paid for it when ADV was going out of business.

Do videogames count? Probably Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. The only game in long time that I paid (unfortunately... didn't like that much) full price for. (Well, $55, not $59.99. Close enough.)

It went on sale like a week later for 50% off. That stung >_>

Outside of that, don't have any merchandise. Been thinking about starting to buy some manga though. Plan to make some renovations when I get the money so I should have room to have a bin solely for storing my manga. Sucks reading most of the manga online but like the last 10 chapters or so don't get done.

I guess that's the people's way of trying to make you want to buy though. Meh.

For actual anime-related stuff (not manga) though, I thought about something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J2B5FIE/

But I don't really *need* a new mug. Also I'd prefer it to be microwavable for my hot cocoa but I guess it can't be heat reactive plus microwavable?

I think it's my G.E.M. Elizabeth figure from Gintama. She cost me about $80. I don't think I have anything worth over $100 on it's own in my collection, but I have a rather large collection of mid-price figures that cost a lot when added up. I don't really buy anime or manga, although I intend to once I buy a house and have a better place to store it. I also stopped buying more figures so I can save up a house down-payment; besides, moving with figures is really difficult, and a bigger collection means more chances for accidents.

Around this time next year, though, I'll own the latest Good Smile Shiro (No Game No Life) figure. I've pre-ordered it for around...$120? I forget. I don't own it yet, though, so it doesn't count as my most expensive item yet.

EDIT: Actually I own the Project Diva mini arcade controller for the PS3. Does that count? It cost around $200. If anime-related video game accessories count (i.e. Hatsune Miku games), I'd say that's my most expensive thing.
