| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, they finally jumped into the action and tbh, it's pretty exciting to see everyone fighting all at once. Battle royal format, every universe for themselves to win. I felt like a lot happened in between every fight in small details. Nice to see 18 still being able to keep up with some of these fighters. Poor Goku, he always has to find the weirdos. Definitely worth waiting for imo and I think this is just still a taste before we're getting into the bigger fights. |

| Sad that Toei reused many animations this episode, but can't be helped when the episode is pretty action-packed. I assume that will happen in every episode from now on. Still getting annoyed by Goku always let his guard down and don't take it seriously(makes extra no sense from how serious he had been during the recruitment episodes) just for the series to create false tension. Great to see 18 able to hold her ground against a pride trooper. Though Toei forced her to go off by herself just to show off her power since it makes more sense for her to be close to Krillin and would stick with the teamwork plan. Goku & Vegeta vs. Universe 9 next week doesn't seem interesting. But now it is highly likely Universe 9 will be the first universe to be out of the tournament. The ending song seems like they are foreshadowing Gohan will be important this arc. |

Interesting to see Goku in the preview is not using SSJ, but he's got his aura and it looks like if he's keeping it concentrated into his body without it forming into the typical aura we see. Maybe hints a bit towards new ki control or form like in the manga. Correct me if I'm wrong... isnt the tournament 48 earth minutes? The narrator said 47 minutes left at the end of the episode... this episode was 1 minute of the tournament xD (I'm probably wrong lol) |

| That was a good start Dragon Ball is finally fun again. There are so many interesting possibilities for fighting pairs, looking forward how they will turn out. I also can't wait for Goku and Vegeta to trash unisverse 9, they really seem like the least interesting one and a waste of space. |

| Barely a minute has passed, well seems like we're in for one long tournament. I say this arc ends around ep 120. Funny how everyone goes after each other and not U7. Overall pretty good start. Ending theme looks quite nice. I think Gohan will have a big role in the tournament, ending theme seems to imply it. |

| decided to share with my dad, just like me he found nothing in watching :):):):) however i gave 4/5, i like to see all the new characters. flashing lights every where was lit asf, frieza senses the dogs LOL. not many dropped off but we only saw a potential 2% of the tourney so far. no one hurt except for robot dudes it seems LOL zen-chan chan-zen <3 |

| It's a Royal Rumble system but the handicap nature is evident for U7 xD U9 really hates them. But only 1 minute has covered ALL that? Damn, welcome to the "5 minutes for Namek to explode" lol And new ending... Not bad, I guess Gohan may have a major role in later episodes. Pretty much what everyone wants after the training with Piccolo :P |

| - They finally changed the team member from Buu to Freeza in the OP - I thought No. 18 will stick to the plan. - Like someone mentioned, it's kinda funny how everyone went for each other instead and not universe 7 even though they all were wanting to get rid of U7 first previously - Wasn't one of the wolf from U9 fighting Gohan's group? At the end of the episode it was with another group challenging Goku I suddenly feel less pumped up for this arc after this episode. Probably the teamwork they showed in this episode wasn't so impressive as well. I shall see in a few weeks time~ |

| The tournament's off to a pretty eventful start, 2 warriors down already. Whis is so savage with his comments since he ain't getting erased. XDD Fair amount of padding this episode with all the reused animations, don't even know who Vegeta is punching so hard at. xD Goku avoids a suicide bomber plan with Blue, didn't realize that he needed to go Blue to fend off that guy. :( Anyway, the tournament should get pretty exciting with future episodes, I can't believe this entire episode was supposed to be just 1 minute. :O |

| Great start for the tournament. As expected some of the members didn't follow Gohan's plan lol. Goku knocked out his first opponent and he is ambushed by U9's warriors now. It seems that Vegeta and Goku will destroy U9's team in the next episode. |

Liked this shot: Recently thought about old animes and lack of picturesque style in modern animes. Love DBS, but wish they used it more in the episodes itself Or at least end the episodes in such a way. I think DBZ used to do this? I know for sure Berserk, Ashita no Joe 2 and Takarajima used to do this a lot. Look what beautiful adaptations they are... Compare Berserk 1997 and Berserk 2016... sometimes it's better not to animate |

| I'm glad they finally changed the op, so we can see Frieza instead of Buu. I expected more fighters to fall off the stage. There are just so many fighters, I'd really hurry to sort out the weaklings. According to the preview, one of the universes will lose already? I hope that's going to happen. Only 1 minute passed. Well.. Actually I understand there were lots of different scenes, this is not so bad right now. What I am afraid of is that when let's say Goku and Jiren will be the only remaining fighters, and there's nothing else to watch, the time will progress just as slow. Anyways, the weird time measuring cannot be changed. I think we should just look at it as some sort of indicator about how much the fight has progressed (towards the finalé) instead of actual time. |
| why is this dumbass goku always in fucking base form I know for a fact all the saiyans can fight for way longer than 48 minutes in SSJ, let alone blue form which is much easier on his body :v took the man a full minute and almost falling off the stage to finally get serious, AND THEN IMMEDIATELY GOES BACK INTO BASE FORM! yeah I know blue takes up a lot of stamina, but really? can't even fight for 48 minutes in blue form? fine, use SSJ, I KNOW he can use THAT form for longer, just judging off of the cell and buu saga alone. |

| So many flashy looking characters, that have gotten no characterization yet other than showing of some bland techniques. I'm afraid I'm not immersed yet. Hope it changes, but as of yet the battle royale is just white noise to me. I also hate how the battlefield is just one giant tournament stage, would have preferred a more interactable environment. On the plus side, it's the least predictable "tournament" DB has had yet. |

| I really expected the 10th U7 warrior would be Buu just because of that opening theme. Well now that they've finally changed it, I'm now convinced. I wouldn't mind anyhow for Frieza will stir up the story better than Buu. |

| Finally, it starts. Those fillers (aside from the last few episodes) were beyond terrible. I hope we get back to when Super was actually good (the U6 arc) and we don't get another stupid arc conclusion like Zamasu's. | About time they worked frieza into the halfway point of universal 7's team which is good lmao I already know The two participants knocked out already are definate examples of fodder in the battle royal so I'm not expecting much from those types of characters but I know there'llbe Lot more Only real bad thing about this episode was the reused animation to stretch out the episode but other than that I really liked it |

| FINALLY!! They finally started this shitty tournament! But as always, a lot of inconsistencies... 1st - Goku trains like hell and is probably able to get up 100 tons and can't even get rid of a random guy who isn't even strong... 2nd - So much explosions in a ring full of people (80) and no one is pushed out of the ring? 3rd - If it's a Battle Royal, they should focus only on the battle! Why are they even discussing with the gods when they are in a death game with 80 people? 4th - Why is Botamo with the 9 Universe? I'm pretty sure that Champa told him to fight the 7 Universe, but practically team up? WtF? 5th - GodPad? WTF is wrong with this show? Apparently everything! 6th - Why is everyone fighting in a way that seems that they are equal to his opponent? Last episode was so good and I had high hopes for this one but forget this shit... This is going to suck! The end of this tournament is probably going to be terrible! |

| Damn we waited so long and finally the tournament has begun. >.< I was so excited to see this episode. As I expected everything is pretty chaotic and you can't really say that you have only one person you fight. Goku as best example was to focused on Toppo and Jiren and someone of another universe took the opportunity to attack Goku. I knew Vegeta, Freezer, Goku, 17 and 18 wouldn't fight only as a team. That isn't their mentality. At least Piccolo, Gohan, Muten Roshi, Tien and Krillin work together. Of course Goku had to play around and it looked like he couldn't get away from this random guy. At least he used Blue for a few seconds. With that 2 fighters are out so far. Lol at that guy who wanted to attack Jiren and scramed after he saw Jirens strength :D Now universe 9 is surrounding Goku. 1 vs 5. I wonder how Goku will handle it. From the preview it seems Vegeta is helping him? Not to sure about it. I hope we will get a lot of episodes, that would be great. I mean this episode was just 1 minute so maybe we get 47 more episodes? :D ED wasn't bad. I liked the ending with Goku and Gohan together. :)  |
