My ratings might not reflect how much I enjoyed the franchise, but if something like Milky Holmes caught your fancy, and you want a comfy comedy sprinkled with parody here and there, I'd definitely recommend it. Though, unfortunately, with the fall of Nyaa, the best available version of the 4 seasons batch remains unseeded, so you will have to settle with what's available on BakaBT... or download them from Anime Bytes. |

| I knew that the anime industry started hitting a boom somewhere during the 00s, but I didn't realize it was this big: It seems like it started earlier than I thought. There seems to have been a steadily increasing amount of anime produced through the 80s and 90s, but getting into the 00s there's just an utter deluge of anime produced. There's so much that trying to sort through it all almost feels like trying to swim through liquid concrete. |

Never bothered with the TV version of Unicorn, since it's the same deal for those with a shorter attention span to watch the hour long OVA episodes. I can imagine the change of format including at least two minute long recaps in each episode to summarize the events of something that you supposedly saw last week, and probably even some minor cuts in terms of scenes in order to adapt the screenplay to the new format... yeah, watching the OVA might be better. |
