I don't want Sunshine to have the same time skips as the Love Live 2nd Season, when it gets a 2nd Season. "In game stickers" is incorrect or an incorrect translation. There is a sticker of the Chika UR card but it is a physical sticker you can stick on a binder or a lunchpail. It is not inside the game. They don't put game serial codes in BDs or CDs for LoveLive anymore. I believe it is actually against AppStore rules to have items not sold through the appstore so they had to stop doing that. So if that's why you want to buy it, you can save your money but I still think it's a very nice package even without game codes. I got my copy last week and the live event footage is great on its own, nearly 2 hours worth. Why don't they have 26 episodes? Because 13 episodes per season is LoveLive's formula. They will surely have a second season, 13 more episodes of course, and a movie most likely. It works for them so they won't change it. | Loved the original LL and all it's characters, music, story. LL SS, was a sad disappointment. I figured they would just copy and paste, only thing I liked from Sunshine is Riko and the OP and ED. Not surprised it sold so much though. Haifuri though. SEASON 2. SEASON 2. |

I don't see how some people still claim that Sunshine is a carbon copy of the original when the anime's main storyline for its season 1 is how to shine with µ's, and not like µ's. It took a while for them to get there, but I think it had a good buildup. Sometimes, the anime itself poked fun of its similarities with the original implying that they are self-aware of it. So I can't help but think that those that still complains haven't finished watching the anime or was not paying too much attention. If that's not the case for you, then I apologize if I somehow offended you. Moving on, even the characters themselves aren't carbon copy. They have their own uniqueness to boast about. Sure, they have minute similarities, but can anyone actually write a completely unique character? If someone can, I'll offer my whole life to him in a heartbeat. Let's take Honoka and Chika as an example. Both are genki air-heads that are very impulsive. But while Honoka charges blindingly towards her objectives, Chika checks first if it's realistic. And if it's not, she'll find a way around it. I also personally don't think Honoka has the qualities of a good leader which Chika showed countless times during the season. Lastly, Chika has a clear reason why she wants to be a school idol which Honoka sorely lacks - she merely wants to be one. However, it is also not fair to compare these 2 sets of characters this early-on. µ's had more screentime so they have more depth than Aqours. We still have our biases within us and that is inevitable. On the other hand, if you're complaining that sunshine feels too similar (not because it is a "carbon copy") to the original, that's most likely a business strategy. Love Live has an existing fanbase; doing a very different installment would alienate these fans. Just imagine watching a Michael Bay film without explosions. Won't a fan of his feel conflicted? They need to have the same formula and at the same time make it fresh. Of course, I won't say that Sunshine is flawless; it has its own hiccups that I won't even bother to enumerate here. µ's is still my favorite so this post is not created by a fanboy desperately trying to protect his babies. But you catch my drift, right? |

It looks like μ's might not be able to secure a Top 10 ranking in the 2016 Oricon Top 100 Music Artist Total Sales, due to having released so little this year (Final LoveLive!, μ's Live collection, and MOMENT RING single), and the Movie BDs are not credited towards μ's (so that's 2.46 billion yen for the Movie BDs, that's not included in the μ's sales figure). Someone on 2ch calculated that their total sales for 2016 is at 2.243 billion yen right now... which is roughly Top 15 level. Of course, the Final LoveLive! Memorial BOX might get to 100,000 Oricon sales, which would add another 600 million yen to the earnings. Now, if your complaint is that the premise is the same, then, you do have a point. However, keep in mind different story-lines can be run with the exact same premise. Premise is identical: school is in danger. Most character archetypes are identical too. |
