I am an anime fan since 2003 and i have watched quite a lot since then, everything from shounen to more serious material. I am not your seasonal anime viewer, instead i watch stuff that i belive will be good watch. I am a big type moon fan and enjoy the dark writing about a world with both science and magic combined.
I am an economist and i am working for a company that helps farmers with their paperwork, taxation etc. in Sweden.
Like history, music, games and more. Dont like Gary Stu characters, i enjoy more broken characters that improve over time rather being a badass from the start just becouse the writer told us so. Overpowered protagonists is the worst thing.
A bit about my scoring system and how i view it
1. Pure garbage, no redeeming qualities whatsoever regardless from which perspective you look at. Stay away from this. Pure cancer.
2. Horrible, it may have a few good points in different categories or at least something to keep me going after 1 episode but thats it.
3. Here we are still in the "suckage" territory but there are things that makes it watchable, could be something like "good premise" or "good concept but fails" to deliver "territory". Still very bad.
4. This is below mediocre, here is the shows who has a lot of stuff going on for it but fails to carry it out. Plotholes, pacing issues and stupid writing basicly. I kind of see the potential but the show does not do it for me.
5-: mediocre, its not bad but not good either. Basicly mediocre watch.
6: While i did enjoy my time with it, there are stuff that simply cannot be brushed off. Those stuff could be everything from plotholes, production issues, plotholes and more.
7: I did enjoy it somewhat but there are some issues that i cannot forget but still its ok.
8: Pure entertainment, anime who gets this score is good, i did enjoy my time with it. Despite that it may have flaws but they dont bother me that much as long as the anime can do other things right. Simply good watch
9: Now this stuff is great, i really enjoyed it, pure enjoyment and needs to be rewatched some time in the future. This is great from all the viewpoints, story, animation, writing etc.
10: This is pure gold, shows that gets this from me had an huge impact on me. It may still have flaws but that is nothing compared what the show does. Those shows who gets this will allways be recommended and remembered by me regardless what year it came from nor what year it currently is. A classic is allways a classic.
I'd think because like I love romance shows too much to see all the constant tropey relationship BS drama that comes with it a.k.a frenemies turned lovers, it was just taxing too much, and Tsuki ga Kirei truly is what I'd expect of a simple love story in and of itself.
OK, with that outta the way, what are you gonna pursue next?
Things have actually taken an upswing lately. Got a job at the start of the year and nowadays, I have an editing gig at my college newspaper, and I have a girlfriend. It's been way better than the first half of the year where corona hit and I was going through heartbreak and a spike in self-loathing.
It’s a story that starts from Episode 2 of the anime series, but instead of timeskipping a lot, it actually makes the journey up Aincrad floor by floor, detailing Kirito and Asuna’s relationship early on more extensively, showing how they try to organize raid parties against floor bosses and smoothing out the broken pacing. I’ve read four of those books and I think, while there is some silly stuff in it, they are better enough and more competent compared to the original SAO season that if Progressive WAS the original SAO, there wouldn’t be anywhere close to as much as a haterbase. It’s my favorite story to come from the franchise, since it doubles down on the series’ strengths while shunting its weaknesses that Alicization amplified.
On the downside, I finished the newest SAO season and sadly didn’t like it very much. It had its highs, but there was too much wasted potential and frustrating aspects to like it further: https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=356516
I’ve read four of the books at this point, and while they’re definitely not perfect, they’re better enough compared to the original Aincrad that if Progressive was the original SAO anime that came out in 2012, the backlash would be nowhere near as severe.
Hey man, I've been alright. Hard to believe that my state is still in stage 4 lockdown, but otherwise it's been fine. As for shows, nothing that's currently airing has been very good. However I have finished Nodame Cantabile, Honey & Clover and S1 of Gintama, all of which I found great and would highly recommend. How've you been since the last time we spoke? It's great to hear from you again :)

To this day, it remains one of my most hated anime. There's no humanity in this project.
Consider a...throwback
Oh wait, I can recommend you Deca-Dence 1st, if you like sci-fi shows.
OK, with that outta the way, what are you gonna pursue next?
I getchu. There's a few interesting things like Akudama Dive but ye. Nice to know you're doing alright.
