I feel like people should just skip KLK and watch this episode instead. It'll save them some time.

I call it :P
Kiznaiver is so average and doesn't hold up to our expectations from Trigger.

It's becauss KLK's director isn't working on it, that's why it doesn't give KLK's vibes.

Wonder if we'll get an Inferno Cop episode. I mean we got Over Justice and his I.C.P.D. badge so some reference to Jack Knife Edge Town or Southern Cross would very well make an episode.

ughh, people always give credit to studio Trigger when really the only good stuff they made had Hiroyuki Imaishi working on it. It's Imaishi everyone should be praising.

Thank You Based Imaishi

This isn't true however, because you're forgetting his right hand man Akira Amemiya who did Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer, and is probably about 50% responsible for this show too. He assistant directed KLK, key animated Gurren Lagann, and has worked on a lot of the things that made Imaishi famous too.
How to fix the review section, detailed here

The average reader (HS level) reads at about 200 WPM. So a 500-800 word review should take 3-5 minutes to read. That's an acceptable length for something you're interested in spending 25 minutes to 4.5 hours of your life watching.

Oh, and ANN requires any and all reviews to be 800-1200 words, no matter the length of the show.

ok sure, but what exactly does that have to do with people giving credit to studio Trigger?

Life Fibers

All this episode did was make me wonder why Inferno Cop didn't have Ryuuko take down her mother
This was a good Meme of an episode

Loved the KLK throwbacks this time around but I'm still sitting here wondering when this show is going to get good. It has all the resources great characters, beautiful art & design, awesome sound work and yet... they don't use any of it well at all. This is turning out to be really disappointing for me personally... & I wasn't even expecting much just a little bit of fun. sad face

I really liked the first 2 eps but...

WTF is even going on anymore? Why cant they keep it simple. This whole thing is just soo random and fast paced, I cant even digest the episodes. It was the same with Kill la Kill, just over the top nonsense with not substance.

Trigger have churned out some real crap recently.

Kill la Kill crossover episode. Called it.

Although that's not saying much considering how Inferno Cop and other Trigger IP's were getting hinted at and outright mentioned all the time.

And Jurassic Park wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Universal Pictures. But you don't praise Universal Pictures you praise Steven Spielberg.
Production companies are just machines to makes things. Sure they vary in quality but the majority of the style and soul of an anime comes from it's director not it's studio.

Then maybe those directors should make their own studios, oh wait studios doesn't matter.
I'm sure Imaishi's series would be the same working under different studios sarcasm

Let's look at Imaishi's work.

Stuff he did with Trigger - Kill La Kill, Luluco, Inferno Cop

Stuff he did with other studios - FLCL, TTGL, Panty & Stocking, Dead Leaves, Redline

Notice how even the stuff he works on with other studio/directors always carries his hallmark style, while if you look at Trigger shows without Imaishi they look nothing like anything listed above.

All I'm saying is, if you like KLK and you like Luluco it's fine to thank Trigger but know that Imaishi is the real creative force behind these shows.

Now we just need episodes that heavily reference Inferno Cop (more than Over Justice already does) and Ninja Slayer From Animation. God, I love Trigger.

Wow, all these blatant KLK references, and even "DON'T LOSE YOUR WAYYYY". And i thought the TTGL reference a while ago was blatant.

By the way, was that a tiny HnK reference i spotted there?
