Aaaa... I just finished watching it and I remember absolutely nothing major. I'm not sure if it's worth watching and if I will stick with it. The art is nice, though, so that's something. And I liked the ship! But I usually like cool ships, meh. :v |

I'm loving the visuals and OST. There is tons of main characters. The pink girl is alright. Kind of reminds of Amnesia. We'll see how this goes the next couple of episodes. |

it was an okay 1st episode. it seems like they changed a lot of the intro but i really don't mind it (koharu originally met sorata before the rest of the norn crew in the vn). based on the preview sorata will be introduced next episode. i didn't like how they changed kakeru's personality into this really nice (read- creepy) guy since he's actually a bit of a dirtbag troll. whenever he did something nice for koharu in the episode i would become skeptical. i really hope they don't focus the storyline on koharu. she's the least interesting girl of the cast. i'm also interested to see how they're going to handle introducing ron and natsuhiko. on the bright side the op is awesome and the ost is relaxing. while the show did have a slow start i'm looking forward to upcoming episodes. it's seems like ep 2 is going to have some action |

OST sounds good and I'm glad that Nagi Yanagi sung the OP for this too. So far the story seems okay. A bit concerned with some introductions since Kakeru's your token asshole character and I can't remember how the game portrayed him at first Hoping it carries out better next episode. |

Seriously! No one more than me who is really curious about the (for some very strange reason) Swedish song at the end??? I really wanna know who sang it, it's beautiful! Några andra Svenskar här som blev lika fundersamma som jag eller?? Pretty funny when you ignore the dialogue and just concentrate all of your hearing on the song to confirm "Is it REALLY Swedish I'm hearing?!" XD |

This episode was a bit to slow for my liking. At one point I thought I was at the the end of the episode but I was only in the middle. Then, I wondered if it was a 50 min episode but it was only 24. It just kept dragging along. However, the premise is interesting enough to stick with it for a couple of episodes. |

I don't get why the rating is so low, the animation and soundtrack was great! (Maybe they all had traumas with their previous experiences with otoge adaptions...) I'm really happy that there's pairing for once...ok. Everything is AWESOME! I would've gave it an 7/10, but I'll give this a 8 to try and bring the ratings up for now.... I really think it'll be great, you know? But we'll wait for a bit more episodes for now...T_T |

Actually pretty damn good. Lots of potential with this show. World building was A+ and so was the orchestral OST. I really like the OP. The fantasy/sci-fi style is really gorgeous. Overall, feels like a more serious version of Kamigami no Asobi with a LOT of mysteries left to tell. So many characters, I only remember them by seiyuu so far. I like OnoD's character the most and Yoshino Hiroyuki's the second~ I gotta play the games once I find them. In the OP theme, the other two pairings look really interesting. I think I'm looking forward to that more than the main romance LOL, especially long hair + serious looking guy. My friend just explained that the romance set up is like this: Girl A - 3 boys who like her Girl B - 3 boys who like her Girl C - 3 boys who like her Anyways, looking forward to next week! |

These posts helped me to pinpoint what bothered me the most: Kakeru was way too perfect. I originally dislike him but I think I dislike him even more being an almighty bland and perfect bishie. Also Koharu is an air head but this episode made her a generic otome heroine all over a guy she just met. One thing that makes Norn9 better than the average otome is that all the protagonists have decent-good stories, development and they're also fully voiced. |

Yup, he's much nicer here (and not in a good way). It's like he's now a Super Bishounen who is entranced with Koharu's otome power as soon as they meet. But that's not him AT ALL. Gah. He's a charming, antagonistic ass whose trolling attempts backfire at the best times. He's flawed but dynamic! Interesting! This anime version is just... ;_; In good news, with the exception of everything Koharu and Kakeru, the show has been really faithful to the source material, even improving on it. We can only hope it stays that way. Yeah from the spoilers, he seemed sort of rude but interesting. Super Bishounen, lol. I can see that, he's definitely shown as a perfectly nice guy so far, which can be sort of boring. I guess it's because it seems like they'll go the Kakeru route for Koharu, so he needs to seem likable. IDK. Now I really want to play the game. But good to hear that it's faithful to the source material and improves on it so far :) Maybe they'll try to be more faithful to Kakeru and Koharu's original personalities as well. |

Well people can seem rude but still genuine, although I guess the better term for that would be blunt? I couldn't find the right word for what I thought about him, but my impression is probably influenced by the biased spoilers (given that people have different favorites). I would need to play the game to understand his character more. Still, thanks for the correction and more insight on Kakeru's character :) Ioryogi-kun said: How do we request for DB update? If i didnt finish the game I would have found this first episode extremely boring lmao Well, it is sorta dull and slow paced, but I'm glad I can finally see it animated. I'm not expecting it to contain the exact scenes from the game as this first episode differed quite greatly, however there were some scenes like Koharu remembering her name after falling in the water which stayed the same too bad Koharu didn't pluck the peaches with Senri and Masamune tho Idk if it was just me tho, but I imagined the Norn to have a completely different layout to what was portrayed in the anime haha :s |

Yeah, this is how he comes across in the English version too. Someone out for a laugh at the expense of others but also a source of solidarity for the ship. Someone who deliberately pisses people off yet you can't hate him since he does so much good, too, even if it's in the most aggravating way possible. (Personally, I love him. As someone who haven't played the game and is pretty much trying an otome adaptation for the first time ever (with Prince of stride, i think) it was fine. @tingy Thanks! I'm adding him now XD Also, he said that Swedish song in the end is performed by Swedish singer Maria Andersson. After reading the translation I feel the song is actually spoiling the anime a bit XD Perhaps that's why he wrote it in Swedish as to not make it too obvious? |

I've been playing the game since it came out in English a few months back. I was wondering how the young boy character Sorata would be handed, just didn't include him at all. There are a few other things that differ from the game... Mainly there wasn't such a huge focus on only Yuiga. For instance in the game all three fall into the water. It was a okay first episode though, interested how next ep will be. SENREI IS BEST BOY! |

Yeah, Kakeru is undoubtedly a jerk but he doesn't fall the abusive tropes, like you said; however "wants to look good in front of the girls" is not accurate, and the "legit bullied Senri for a good part of the guy's route" is in a weird gray area since his bullying is (actual spoiler>>) due to Akito's request for Kakeru to look after Senri and help him to stop avoiding society. Kakeru goes about it entirely the wrong way and has way too much fun at Senri's expense, but he wouldn't have been so persistent about it if it weren't for Akito's request. It's also clear that none of the girls (with the exception of Koharu) like him as a person and doubt his motives, but they trust him enough as a leader in certain things and did so way before Koharu ever came aboard. He's also the only one of the guys (bar Masamune) who gives up his house so the girls can live comfortably. ...I sound like I'm defending him. Ahahaha. Not really. Like you said, he's quite the shithead for most of the game. :P Might be my way of interpreting it I know none of the other girls have interest in him, I'm just basically mentioning a lot of his own lines when he's talking with Masamune. Akito did request Kakeru that because he doesn't know how to approach Senri and on the top of that Senri is scared of him. Even if he did what was asked with good hearted intentions, still was having fun at Senri's expenses. He's the leader character of the ship, people trust him and he knows that but in fact he's troll and likes to have fun around. Another example is Nanami and Akito's "handcuffs", "good intentions" but it shows he was having fun with that. To be fair, his kinda twisted way of having fun is one of his appeals for some; he's troll/prankster whatsoever. |

I don't really like the heroine... she just seems very dull to me... And really how silly was it to have her get the farthest fruit from the tree at the edge of the 'cliff'... might have been done on purpose And then even sillier is how she ask if she can eat the fruit?? Like it didn't get dirty or anything from falling into the water with her seriously... Anyway guess I will not continue this one |

I liked this a lot. It intrigued me and seems to have potential to get quite dark at times. I don't care for the OP visuals though, it looks a little boring. I think it's a little quick to develop this potential romance, so I'm guessing some interesting stuff is going to happen, or relationships with other characters are going to get some decent depth as well. Hopefully it doesn't fall into the trap of having too many characters and not enough episodes. |

Everybody Looks The Same: The Animation. Not only they introduced bajillion of characters in episode 1, everybody looks the friggin' same. All guys have the same hair with more or less bangs. Oh, wait, one of them has a tatoo, whoa, how incredibly unique! Okay, I probably exeggerate a bit, but seriously, if the only way you can distinguish the guy is his voice, then character designer did it wrong. Give a guy some unique clothing, give him a scar, different eyes, mohawk, whatever, just don't make everyone outta one template. It's okay if characters look normal but if they all look the same then sorry, nope, nope, nope. And this is my problem with this title. Everything else is okay by now, I just hope Long Hair won't degenerate into purity freak, because that one scene with swiming was alarming. I wonder if mythology will play some bigger role than fancy names and "the first kanji in his name can be read like first syllable of Nordic god's name". |

Ok, lovely setting. That being said, the show itself is weird. Pacing felt fast, too. Good thing is, how there are 3 main girls. I like that. Also, the ship looked like heaven, so nice. LMAO when they fell from the tree. Okay, why the heck would you climb it up when you are so clumsy? I won't, you shouldn't either. A few cliche scenes here and there, but I don't mind (the tree scene tho, legit laughed out loud) 6/10 |
