THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This episode felt more relaxed imo, mostly because it took place out doors. Oh Moe, don't get drunk

Hmm, also thought the episode established a closer connection between Moe and Souhei. The mystery felt more mild until they examine some of the books, something that I think has a connection to the overall case. Somehow, I found the shift scenario between the present and past flashback when the knife was delivered to be even more creepy.

Pretty creepy how her parents get killed D:

This series is the best new series in this season. First part of this episode was not anything, special, but the ending makes me crave for next episode. I love how intellectual the dialogue is in this series. I like anime which have creepy people with weird relations.

So, it goes from being chill most of the episode and taking time to develop Saikawa and Moe, only to go to that ending? Fucking hell, I didn't see that one coming. And it was disturbing as hell, especially what Shiki said right before the credits.

Also, am I the only one who really likes the way the OP seems to be changing bit by bit every episode? I wonder if these changes really mean anything or not.

The beginning of this episode felt like a recap. After that it got better; this was a better episode than last week. It was nice to finally see some progress being made in their investigation. Crazy ending. I don't understand why Shiki killed her parents though. Hopefully the rationale for that is clarified.

This is definitely much better than the live action drama. The scene of Magata killing her parents was really disturbing on this animation.
So far I was indifferent towards Moe, but I did find her quite annoying on this episode. The scene of her getting "drunk" was rather stupid...

She killed her parents, because she wanted to be free. A human being that is above all, cant be ruled by no one. She couldn't take that her parents told her to do what they wanted. She wasn't free when someone ordered her. Her relationship with her uncle may have something to do with it, because the uncle was doing the killing with her.
It was explained in the last episode.

That finale was not what I expected to see. I cannot believe she got her uncle to do that for her. She totally has him bewitched.

For some reason I was expecting the revelation of what F means to come later, but I guess it's better that we learn now so they have more episodes to explain its significance.

That ending was creepy as fuck, I'd be scared shitless if I was in her aunt's position.

Woaah. Ok so F means Fifteen and confirmed that Shiki killed her parents (plus thr uncle) but the thing is even if she wants to be free, why kill your parents? Thats irrational for me haha. I do hope they'll explain the full thing in the next episodes.

That was a good way to tie up everything so far, but the last third of the episode was when Saikawa-sensei and Moe started to get down to business with the mystery. The entire first half of the series felt like setup to what I hope to be a second half where everything is going to become completely insane and intense.

Big fan of this anime so far but the episode was disappointing for me.
I don't think this show is as slow-paced as some people make it to be but this one episode in particular was terribly slow.

Someone already pointed out the elevator thing on Reddit like a week ago so it didn't suprised me.

More hints pointing towards Shiki's aunt as the culprit, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else.

Been really impressed with this show. It airing along with Monogatari in the same season is old as both are similar in tone, but they have enough differences to differentiate them. (That and well its currently a stand alone show, unless they get to adapt the other novels (This is based off a book series after all))

You guys are seriously surprised at then ending ??
In the ending of the last episode Shiki offered the knife to her uncle. And all the talk about setting oneself free made it quite obvious that the uncle had a part in killing Shiki's parents.

Mmm. And the books are presumably meant to indicate the same, that she planed it from the start. Of course, we haven't been shown when she got them, so it doesn't really, but still.

This episode was the worst till now. Very slow (but maybe it's better to take things slowly instead of rushing it?).
It's bothering me that the characters are behaving so irrationally - as in, seriously, who the hell would want to spend one whole week more trapped in an island with a murderer?? Not even the students seem to care that much that two people were just killed the night before. I don't know, I don't know. And are they just planning to leave the bodies rotting there?
I liked the elevator part, those few seconds when it goes dark (and the killer presumably escapes) is the most interesting part of the mystery to me.

So she wants to be free by killing her parents whether or not that's just the means or end goal but doesn't bother to make the murders look remotely like an accident or in this case she is so confident that her uncle would do that for her but clearly she misjudged and I don't know where her confidence comes from, the uncle isn't really an unique character at this point, certainly not feel like someone who would kill just to keep his secret remains hidden, and that makes her got caught right away and ended up in a confinement, and if it ends up the same way the book ends it makes absolutely no sense.

I don't know why but these 'highly intelligent' characters don't always make the good choices and if you want to examine their reasoning usually the anime doesn't offer much deeper or more satisfying explanations other than 'they are supposed to be uber smart so that's why!'.

The presentation is starting to wear on me, visually it's very unappealing, objects doesn't look real, some of the cuts are redundant and distracting, for an anime that comprises mostly conversation scenes this is probably the least engaging for me in the whole year, but the action scenes are definitely very 'entertaining'.

This, this and fucking this.

One thing I loved about this show and got me hooked since the first episode is the characters. Their interactions and dialogues feel very natural (and that's fucking refreshing) except for, well, the quoted part above. That's irking me a lot..

While the first half was slow with nothing much happening. The second half was awesome, Pretty cool that Moe found that someone called the lift from the Roof.

So 'F' here could mean 'Fifteen' ?

Magata killing her parents was crazy.

Welp. Now we know sort of why it's called "Everything is F". Maybe the killer wanted them to find out the reason for Shiki's and the director's murder? Although we already knew it a while ago, this time it's official (from the audience perspective anyway). Both Shiki and the director/uncle are the murderers that killed her parents and her housekeeper. That was pretty crazy though, for Shiki to turn all psycho-bitch and murder her mother first. If I was the father though, I would have at least grabbed the bottle on the table or something...at least struggle and fight back! A little slow to asses the situation, even after his wife was stabbed.

So it's likely the aunt or the younger sister that found out about it somehow abut the incident 15 years ago, and murdered them. My money is on the aunt.

F is 15 in hexadecimal.

A - 10
B - 11
C - 12
D - 13

F - 15

Though yeah, the way Saikawa says it in this episode just makes it sound like "Herp, F and Fifteen both start with the same letter."
