Well that was a colorful and somewhat brutal episode imo.

Quite a bit of action stuff going on and I think the show was trying to sent it off with a blast. By now, the show has reached its climax against the Kuu-sama and other conflicts. As for the final episode, it had an alright ending I suppose.

Fireworks and all without a big mess.

Satisfying imo.

Almost thought they'd really lost Hajime near the end, lol. Ending was okay, but it did its job wrapping the season up. I didn't really see the point in keeping those Kuu-sama monsters around, though. Overall, this sequel was enjoyable to watch. 7/10

One of the most outright pessimistic shows I've ever seen. I mean geez does Gatchaman Crowds Insight really think the worst of humanity. I mean I kind of agree with what they're saying but they REALLY don't hold their punches in a lot of these episodes.

I wasn't sure if a sequel to the first season could be done well after how closed the ending of the first season seemed, but Insight managed to both be a fantastic sequel and improve the first season by expanding on the themes of the series and giving a new perspective on them.

Considering the MAL score I don't know how many people will agree with me, but I feel Insight is a serious Anime of the Year contender. It's one of the best written and most topical anime in the past decade.

I feel like this show was written as they went along, since it got worse with each passing week.

an open ending that could lead to a third season.....?

really liked this ending and how hajime *sacrificed* herself to recover the atmosphere

no apes anymore, CROWDS are back

i dont get why the kuu's are still there some people were swallowed by them, what if some of those kuu's that are still there swallowed someone

I'm curious, has anyone ever called you a Tsundere? You have been watching a show that has become worse and worst each passing week, as you put it yourself, yet you watched it to the last episode? Personally, if I hated a show, I would drop it. I took a peek at your anime list and most shows tend to be below 5, yet you still finished watching them instead of dropping them. Most importantly, are you sure you should be watching this genre of anime? Since you gave Aikatsu a 7, I assume you like that sort of thing, which is a contrast to this.

Of course Hajime miraculously survived that, they have an alien that can give life to dead things, for god's sake. It's like saying Jesus reviving is ridiculous even though he is God. You might as well say that having an alien that can give life using one hand and take life using the other is ridiculous. Of course, you might as well say that all supernatural anime are ridiculous.

All things said, I hope that episode shows anyone who thinks of Hajime as a Mary Sue that Hajime is human. She screams in pain, she cries, and she can die. She didn't, but she came very very close.

Seriously loved the BGM that was playing during the replay of the battle. And Miyano Mamoru acting his heart out as Katse, he was perfect.

Other than that, 6/10 stays. Not the worst show of the season (nothing can beat Chaos Dragon in this category) but def not the best; also loses to season 1 hands down.

Edit: oh, that BGM is called Conceited Fool, and it's included in the OST CD. And while I'm at it, OST is a good one.

I'm gonna sit back, think, and give it some time before I rate this show.

I love how consistent they were with the themes and topics, really driving home how dangerous the atmosphere can be and stressing the importance of thinking about your decisions.

The OST was just as cool, techno, and hype as always. Taku Iwasaki does good work. "in exchange for my life" was my favorite track.

Hajime's perceptive of being attacked was quite brutal, much more than expected. It really showed how serious the situation was and how dedicated Hajime is to the cause.

that was a close vote, good for Gel-chan that he will stay on earth

overall a nice little sequel, ye the story and plot twists seems childish but the concepts of the story are good like social mood (the atmosphere) and stepping back from the crowds to think for yourself and not be part of the bandwagon effect

and lol is this spirit girl the personification of Utsutsu's power, i never remember seeing that on season 1

Honestly speaking, I wasn't a fan of the 1st season of Gatchaman Crowds, but this season must have done something right, because I thought it was great. Really thought-provoking stuff. And I loved the biting social commentary at times.

Tempted to go back and rewatch the 1st season to see if my opinion will change on that one. I remember there being some production issues at the end as well. Thankfully, it seems there were no such issues this time aroud with the 2nd season. Good for Kenji Nakamura.

Hajime's 'defeat' was so hard to watch, never seen that kind of expression from her which made it feel very real and heart wrenching. Best display of heroism this year, it's amazing that her character became even more well defined. Overall I'm very impressed with how the themes of the first season were expounded and allowed to evolve naturally to the setting. Very satisfying ending, even if it is somewhat open.

It was alright. I found the series as a whole to be decent. I could watch a 3rd season but I'm not really sure where they would go with it. If they did decide to run a 3rd season I'd hope to see more pink notebook users seeing as how they left it open whether or not Katze had given others his power or not. Or if more users had gone down the same path he did, seeing as how he was originally a Gatchaman. I feel that it's unlikely we'll see one though, and even if we do it won't be for good period of time.

I don't really see why people are saying the anime is pessimistic, to me it leaned more towards how diverse people can be and in some ways was very realistic. Surely you don't think EVERYONE would have been happy about the alien staying simply because of that display of how bad the atmosphere got, just look at world news nowadays. At least they got the majority to decide to let him stay.

This final episode was great.

The writing for this show is so good, and really deep. It's a shame it doesn't get the hype that shows with shit writing get (Charlotte), otherwise people would probably be much more into this show.

Definitely a lack of action this season, but they really hit deep with the truths in compensation. The writers pulled no punches in showing how fucked up we are as a society. Groupthink, segregation of others, inability to think for ones self, the influence of an atmosphere...really showed the world how we're just pieces of shit.

You know humanity is in a bad state in terms of mentality, when Hajime says "I basically need to sacrifice myself just to get people to stop acting like idiots". She is legit batman. The hero the city needed, but not the hero they deserved.

Katze did a good job this episode too. Liked how he was totally on board with the plan and was willing to take that beating.

I liked the scene with Yuruji this episode too. Tsubasa gave a whole speech about thinking for yourself and deciding to change as a person, which led to Yuruji finally accepting change as well. The shogi board seems like it was a match he started with his brother who passed, and Yuruji, not wanting to move on, always stared at the board, never making his move, because he was one move away from beating his brother. Moving that piece would mean accepting that he's gone and starting to change. The placing of the piece along with him picking up the phone to vote was excellent in my opinion.

Some of the Kuus were still around, which makes sense. There are probably a few people who hadn't changed their opinions drastically enough to make the kuus disappear. At the same time, the collective atmosphere of the city is diverse now; so with no single solid thought to act upon, the kuus are basically harmless. And as seen with the CROWDS, still very fragile. They're probably a temporary existence now.

Kind of disappointed that Ginger Hitler sidelined himself. He hyped himself up like he was going to take drastic action, then just stood by and watched. He was satisfied with the results and walked off into the sunset. I feel he could've been more important.

Kind of sad we didn't get OD transforming at all this season. Obliterating kuus with this powers. Oh well.

SEASON 3 PLEASE!

This season was...ok. There are things I liked about it, but also things I don't. The plot itself, Tsubasa, Gelsadra (although I find him/her less annoying than Tsubasa), and some other minor stuffs.

Though I liked the few actions scenes I can remember (the scene in this episode, despite being the same in the last one, was definitely more enjoyable watching Hajime's reaction). The ost was as good as in season 1. Utsutsu was kawaii as fuck in this episode, I mean...just look at her :3

6/10. Would watch S3 because why not.
