| I just hope this was supposed to be the mandatory bad episode with terrible introductions. The first episode was better honestly than that shit. From Shinoa's first appearance, to the rest of the episode, I just wanted to straight up punch her, she was really getting annoying, not to say that Yu is too much better. Although being 16 gives you leeway to be a little emo bitch I guess. Even with what I say, Yu is probably my favorite character out of the cast so far and I see it as highly annoying how everyone else is getting on his case, if he had a cursed weapon I'm pretty sure that vampire would've been killed pretty easily. |
| Owari no Seraph tries to mix too many things IMO. The story sounds so ridiculous. I mean : vampires, demon swords, a virus "killing only the adults", school setting, a boy from the prophecy. This is too much. But hey, it's still watchable. I wasn't amazed but I wasn't bored either. |

| Woah, Shinoa's VA is waaay off, such a disagreeable tone to fit the character. The OP/ED are not very stellar either. But I do have to give them props for not overdoing the whole "high-school" setting as I feared the worst. Things might get a little better as Yu and his new friend got enlisted to the Extermination Army or whatever it is. I'm still lukewarm towards this show. It has got to be as edgy as possible if it wants to distinguish itself from the myriad of shounenshits. |

| soo does this show suddenly become about a teenager in school fighting vampires? -_- i thought it was REALLY cool that it was about kids living as cattle for vampires. I was hoping it would continue like that but suddenly the MC is outside and the human society is functioning and its 4 years later and its in a stereotypical setting in a high school and a prophecy. >.> ps. I havent actually watched this episode yet |

Besides that's only one of the problems. The show had a huge tone shift, not to mention the setting change. School completely doesn't fit in this show and things that happened there as well. This show really didn't need those exaggerated bullies, that whole scene with teacher and so on. More tone consistency would be welcome. And even with that, the story is super weak in the first place. |

| It's okay to have immature mains. I mean, "growth and maturation" has always been a theme of shonen mangas. But there's no reason to have the main be this unbearable from the start. We know he'll grow up. That's a given. But the question is whether we have the patience for the growing up to happen. Also, just putting it out there real early, but I speculate that Guren will die at some point to spur Yuuichirou's growth. |

| This is unfortunately not a good show. Too generic, the characters are flat, the story's all over the place. It shows that Studio Wit are restrained by their budget if you compare it to AoT, and the consequences of it all drags it down. |

| Yasss. I only have a few issues with this anime. 1. Things seem really.. off. Like Yuu will be saying something super emotional, but the animation doesn't match. 2. The OP gives a lot of the plot away. Like dang, I already read the manga so it's no shock to me but they could atleast make it a little less obvious what happens. And actually, there's a third. That no one is giving this a chance! Stop comparing it to other things and just watch it. |

| Fighting vampires with a katana... the nostalgia of Blood+ comes flooding back ;_; Overall, decent ep & nice action but characters are a little disappointing, especially Yu - I hate Tsunderes. BL vibes are strong with this one but I don't mind. Current status of Owari no Seraph = cautiously positive. |

| There sure is a lot of Mika in OP for a dead character... I guess that means he is not dead, huh? Well...I enjoyed this episode... I was kinda skeptic when it started but I do like it. It's in my top 3 for this season (together with Ore Monogatari and Arslan Senki). |
| Was surprised with the school setting, have no idea what direction this show is going for. Could have used a little explanation, about humanity and how and where they live. Maybe I'm being impatient but the shift from the vampire stronghold to a "normal school" was just weird And making a friend has never been so easy, they talked like once? |

| It's amazing how much you can enjoy a pretty average anime when you're also watching something terrible haha. I read the first chapter of the manga after watching the first ep and decided to continue with the anime since I vastly prefer tsunderes to... whatever the mc's character is in the manga. Well, maybe they just edited out a lot of his yelling from the first ep, but to me he seems a lot calmer. It was pretty weird for them to reveal Mika isn't quite as dead as we thought in the OP & ED. I guess he must appear soon, then cue mc angst of woe. Btw, if mc and Mika are at some point revealed to be twins separated at birth, I'm going to laugh. Ehh, maybe it's just the artstyle, you wouldn't add something so stupid to your already "take a shot when.." worthy shounen. That said, sometimes it's just fun to watch stuff where you are likely guess in advance what'll happen. Or maybe that's just me :P |

| That was a pretty good ep. Can't wait for more. I can see why some ppl are hating on this ep. The story is a bit ridiculous. But it's only the second ep. The fact that Gurren wanted Yuu to make a friend was so that he could enjoy his life at least a little bit and not live his entire life filled with revenge (or so I think). The other "ridiculous" stuff was probably there to maintain a school setting and add a bit of humor. Though, they could have gotten rid of that. Perhaps we will see some more serious moments. But overall it's not too bad. |
