➤Watch a full filmography of a favorite director (independent or otherwise) Does this mean only movies? Or does it include series too? Also what do you mean independent or otherwise? Sorry I'm dumb :( And lastly, can we get a voice actor challenge? like watch all of the entries were they have participated as main characters or something? |

Finding the one where they only appear once? Zergneedsfood said: Higashi, can you explain independent director? I only put it up because you suggested it. If you want to choose a favorite director and watch all the series they've made, I think that's a suitable challenge to be honest. It's arguably even harder than a full filmography depending on the director. And yes, I'll add the challenge you specified. Thanks, I'll wait for higashi's explanation too. Also, hold on to the challenge since someone (Like ckan) may have a better idea |

Independent director just means that they're not working 'outside of the industry' and make their shorts basically on their own, participate in film festivals etc... Someone like Kuri Yoji, Wada Atsushi, Ryu Kato, Tanaami Keiichi or Kawamoto Kihachiro. Another way to say it would be hipster shit. I do agree that it's better to include director in general in that challenge though. And I'd also say it doesn't matter if you choose someone who directed TV Series or only movies/shorts. |

What is a challenge worth if it isn't hard to accomplish? I'll probably oblige to those rules, except maybe the length one. Being the filthy casual/fucking pleb that I am, I just don't have time for that, cuz then I'll have to watch 700+ episodes of Detective Conan and 600+ episodes of One Piece, etc. Also, I think adding a challenge like "anime airing this year do not count" might not be a bad idea, since I bet many people are probably gonna knock out a few just by watching their 15+ shows per season with no real effort. For example, Aldnoah.Zero second season wouldn't count for the space opera challenge (which is a silly example because you could just watch the first season anyways if you haven't watched it already, but it gets the point across). |

I'm surprised Totoro has no slice-of-life tag, I'd definitely say it belongs in that category. And the characters in Uchouten Kazoku are definitely humanoid since they can take human shape and do it all the time. Also the Flanders no Inu Movie is not really part of the WMT Series, only TV Series are as far as I know. Just my 2 cents though :>. |

Burn Up was sort of directionless, but it looked good. |

Okashi_sama said: Higashi_no_Kaze said: What's not to get about the filmography one? It just means watching all the works they directed. And I'm pretty sure there are tons of Shaft shows less popular/well-known than Dance in the Vampire Bund even if you don't count the early 00's collaborations with Gainax and other studios. Hidamari Sketch, Pani POni Dash, Natsu no Arashi, SoreMachi, Negima, Maria Holic, Ssasami-san. To name a few. Idk why it went never went through my head. Thanks anyway. I've never heard anyone talking about Dance in the Vampire Bund, nor it was mentioned about being overrated/underrated. While I have seen those other mentioned at least one, that's why I went with it. It was pretty controversial when it came out and got a lot of hype & hate and I think it was even talked about outside of anime circles because of some super seductive lolicon scenes. Idk, let Zerg decide if it counts :>. @jal90: Why didn't I think of Band of Ninja myself, I even have it downloaded already. Gonna pick that one as well for the 'only anime of X' challenge. Thanks for reminding me! |
I probably regret this post by now. |
