Kind of boring extra , could live without it seriously

To be honest, I believe the series could have ended with episode 12. I agree though. It really did seem like a bonus added to the end. Wasn't a terrible episode, but definitely worth watching for the laughs.

Never figured myself a fan of slice-of-life anime. After enjoying the hell out of Ika-Musume, a friend of mine said I should give K-on a chance and I wasn't disappointed.
The characters are all unique and memorable. They all have their little quirks that make them lovable as well. It is because of this that makes this show so entertaining. The music is also catchy. I find myself humming the song to myself at work!

Wouldn't be surprised if I watch this show again. 9/10!
Can't wait to start the second season!

Sad to see it end ;~; but happy it ended on a heartwarming episode showing their friendship. The beach Mio visited looked really nice (I'm jealous), and Mugi in her job was adorable.

I've enjoyed the show so much. I like all of the main characters (Mio and Yui <3) and I've loved the songs, too. Now for season 2!

Aw, I was hoping Ritsu really had a secret admirer. But I guess it wouldn't be K-On! unless that wasn't a mix-up on her part, ehehe.

Overall the series was very cute. I would have liked more character development and music playing, but the animation is so adorable. The story was pretty mundane without any real plot. It was fun to watch, but I don't necessarily have the need to watch nor purchase this in the near future.

At first, didn't expect much from the show cause of some reviews i've read on forum but I'm really glad it turned out otherwise, at least for me :) Anime was really good, the girls, animation, music.. But there is one thing. I wish there was a bit more music involved beside those two concerts. It was a little disappointing when they were about to start a rehearsal scene(s) and then /cut, the rehearsal is over. I want music!! Give me more music!! :)
All in all, a very nice show! Gave it 8/10. And now, the only thing that's left is to get ready for season two!

This episode was a real treat to us slice of life lovers. The calm and wintry setting was really nice, and was a pleasant change from all the music action. Now time to watch the specials, and then K-On!!

I really thought I'd like this show, but it's meh. The whole show was just them messing around getting yelled at for not practicing but in the end it didn't matter because magical talent! I might check out the second season sometime to see if it's any better but as is I'd say it's 5/10.

This has more of a serious tone than the other episodes, even though everything works out fine in the end.
The only episode that is close to this one is the one where Mio and Ritsu are fighting ("baka Ritsu" episode).

Most of it is missing that lighthearted feeling that the other 12 episodes have, though it's not completely absent.

That feeling of worry really comes through, especially with Azu-nyan and the cat.
If you've ever a pet who is close to you be sick, it is quite stressful, especially with the added responsibility that comes with looking after someone else's pet.

I'm sure that most people who have to work on a fast food joint don't appreciate seeing some rich bitch playing her little game.

Also someone could have used that shitty job more than her.

And loli-chan not knowing that cat throw up hairballs.....what planet has she been living on?

And lastly i wonder whether the second season is about light music club fighting against diabeetus.

I honestly didn't expect to enjoy this show. But wow, it's good. All the characters are likeable. Mio was my least favourite, but favourite in vocals. My favourite was either Mugi or Yui.

I felt that the pacing is a bit quick for 2 live concerts + 2 school years. Like, they squeezed everything in 12 episodes, so I almost felt a disconnect between some episodes. I still liked that but I didn't have enough time for the characters to grow. As opposed to the Free! franchise which was paced a lot better.

I'm excited to watch season 2 and the movie! This franchise is so worth it. 7/10 overall with 9/10 enjoyability score.

Episode 13 specific post:
I really liked how it started off with everyone separate and sad but then they all get together when Yui sent the weird text. It was sweet!

Cute episode. Not any better at tying everything together than the finale. But it felt like a fitting bonus episode. Nothing that added too much to the story. But a nice themed episode that gave big moments to all the characters.

This episode was ... kind of lame :S Everybody doing their own thing but they all get together in the end I guess. Mio and Azusa and Ritsu didn't end up doing much ... I guess it was nice Mugi got a job, thought the pigtails looked pretty good on her. Oh well, kind of a poor episode to end the show on though :(

Pretty good animation and music, but the plot was kind of lacking especially with the often-repeated subplots (like double beach episodes ... really?!). Characters were OK, but I wish they focused on the music more. I'll probably watch the specials and OVA since I have them downloaded already, but IDK if I'll watch S2 or not. Was gonna give it a 7, but I thought about it and I'm feeling more of a 6.5, so rounding down. 6/10

Slow but Excellent episode! May be unessasary, but hey, it's a slice of life, so what can ya expect? I do belive that this episode was meant as a literal reply to Yui, where she said that she always brought troubles during the most important times, and how during that episode, it ALMOST conveyed her uselessness, as we saw her sister take her role with flawlessness in her guitar skills. This episode certainly showed her important to the group, being a beacon of love, hope, and happiness to those around her, nice to see her naivness being an actual useful thing!

Not a fan of this final episode tbh.

Overall K-On was still the anime that made me watch more CGDCT anime, but this first season is "just good", 7/10 from my part, let's see if the sequel manages to keep the 10/10 score.

This anime made me laugh and loved every moment of it especially Ritsu and Yui, those girls know how to be dumb. The last episode was chilled away from each other and music and that was awesome in a kind of way. Even though this anime had no strong storyline like maybe they had an ambition to make it in the music industry or anything inspiring it would get 9 or 10 but nonetheless it was very good. 8/10 is for being itself.

This episode have some quite changes. Surprised to see Mugi having a part-time job. Though it is inevitable to cause accidents, good to see her doing well. Azusa taking care of her friend's cat (Azunyan #2) was really cute. Too bad Mio couldn't write up a new lyrics, but she did well on the one she sent to Ritsu. On the other hand, I still prefer Ritsu's hairband hairstyle. Too bad the letter was a lyrics instead from a lover. Yui apologizing to her winter gloves was funny.

Overall, this has been an amazing journey for the light music club.

i was hoping that this misunderstanding would have created another like Mio after telling Ritsu she wrote them Ritsu starts to think Mio has a crush on her (that misunderstanding would have been hilarious) lol

A surprisingly slow and moody episode but packed with mix bag of emotions, and again, I totally in love with this. K-On is a masterclass of this genre, everything about it is great if not perfect.

I dropped this anime a year ago and totally overlooked it since then. But Kyoani proven me wrong this time, good job.

Definitely a weaker shoulda-been-an-OVA-special episode. Based on the memes and image macros I've seen, I expected some sickly sweet super moe BS. But I was pleasantly surprised, actually laughed out loud at some parts, the songs were good, and the tea and snacks looked delicious.

The cold really makes you lethargic but all you need is a Yui to feel fantastic. They're all having trouble doing their own stuff then she just texts everyone out of nowhere asking the most ridiculous question they've seen all week. Glad that it all worked out in the end and Ritsu being baited by Mio's misleading lyrics was pretty funny too.

Can I have some Mugi with those fries?

Although it serves no purpose, the episode is very nice thanks to Yui: her sympathy is contagious. Smooth and pleasant narration, it makes you want to put your hands on the second season right away, despite having already seen it more than once.
