| But are they really friends? Yes, they've been tied together by fate and by their relationship with Aika, but I think they really might not be friends in the classic sense. I'm also getting the feeling that Yoshino's reasons for getting involved may be much more complex than we've been led to believe, and that we shouldn't take anything he says at face value. |

| It was an interesting back story, I actually thought that they were friends before the accident and all. Anyway, it seems like they are finally are going to introduce the other characters that appear on the OP. I would like to know more about the girl that eats the buns. |
| What a beautiful episode. I loved the background story about how Yoshino and Mahiro became friends. Those two were meant to together. ^-^ We have some awesome bromance here, which is very rare in anime. I can't think of any other very good bromances in anime atm. Maybe Okazaki in Clannad with Sunohara, but other than that nothing pops up in my head. This nice background story between these two characters really got me interested in how Mahiro will react if he finds out that Yoshino went out with his little sister and kept it a secret. |

| I say the background story was messed up on Mahiro's part, Yoshino helping and telling that esay was funny. Pretty shocking at the begining!! Mahiro and Yoshino were so cute when they were young!! |

| 5/5 because backstory and atmosphere. A break from all the fights, I needed that. | A flashback rarely interest me.. this is one of those who did. I don't know why but when Aika's appearing in Yoshino's memories, which are like every fucking minute, I'm being pissed off. I just hate that chick. Lying openly to her brother while keeping that freaking poker face.. people like that cannot be trusted. |

| really liking this series so far. The action, art, music, and characters are OP. This episode was really really good. Learning of Yoshino and Mahiro's backstory was awesome. It's weird, they don't straight up say that they're best friends or anything, yet you know they have a really deep bond. "The Cursed Pair" is a peculiar name for a pair of friends though... Also the ED is amazing~ Kana Hanazawa saiko I'm hooked. Really want to know more about Aika. I'm praying Yoshino wasn't the one... |

| Man, Yoshino was about to tell Mahiro about his relationship with Aika, but he fell asleep =P These two's relationship is more complicated than it seemed. They make for an interesting dynamic. |

| That was a nice backstory, I admit I chuckled outloud when I saw the part with the puppy. As I said, this show is getting better. On the other hand, they do seem to be taking their sweet time considering that fate of the world is in their hands. Shouldn't they... hurry to do whatever they have to do in order to stop the mages? |
