Hozuki was kinda cool this episode when she fought against those thugs. Lol @ what was in the shopping bag though XD, I couldn't keep a straight face on.

Entertaining as always. Their adventure was exciting and well-executed. Hozuki was lucky to survive: she fell down from such height and got hit hard against metals.

Glad that Kazuki actually helped out a lot this episode. Nice to see that she is starting to adjust to their situation a little better after all of her complaining before.

I got kind of scared when Hozuki fell from that height. Good thing the sisters and Hans were able to treat her. Gained respect for the pirate captain for backing off after learning about Hozuki's condition.

That was sooo cliche it's laughable XD

Not that it wasn't enjoyable though ^^

As expected Kazuki becomes useful right away XD

Pirate Captain is awesome. Liking him a lot.

Hozuki's fall was pretty damn hard. That could easily kill a person.

Hazuki yelling at the pirates was lol.

Anna hiding something.

And Moon sketch was conveniently with Hans hehe.

Too bad the lingerie was blown away. Lucky pirates I guess XD

What an absolutely awful episode.

Of course something terrible has to happen to a loved one in order for you to see how much of a shit you've been to them.

Oh Anna is a mole? More reasons to hate her then.
That explains her conveniently knowing everything about everything.

Is Hozuki made out of rubber or something?
She fell really hard, like the kind of hard that would kill you. She even bounced like 5 times.
I can't with this.

So she survives a fall 4-5 story building head first and then bounces like 5-6 on several cars without any visible damage and survives? LOL. Apparently she's not only super smart but practically indestructible, not even a single bruise falling from a height that could easily kill a grown man.

Houzki get's injured but Hans conveniently had a med station. He also conveniently had the moon sketch. Like we didn't do Anna was fishy from the 1st ep. You can basically tell what's gonna happens next after every scene. Terrible 2/5.

Yeah that was a cliche way to deal with Kazuki's character development :/ well at least she's not being annoying anymore.

And yeah, that was a terrible fall, she should've either died since she's so tiny and fragile, or she should've broken lots of bones and suffered some serious internal bleeding. There wasn't even any visible physical injuries. Well at least the visuals are nice, I enjoyed watching Kazuki pilot the Galileo.

They just don't want to make a gore of this light anime series.
Anything can happen in the anime.
Sure you can easily die but there still a slightly chance to survive that fall.
We just don't know what the cause of Hozuki injures I think I didn't saw blood or anything. O_o

Boing, Boing, Boing. Hozuki's bouncy body amazed me, I was sort of half expecting her head to explode when she fell down but she just bounced off the cars with a red spot on her head.

I knew something was fishy about Anna. That was some fast character development for Kazuki, a bit too fast, actually, I don't like it when they rush with things like this. Also, need more of that pirate captain, he's by far likeable, but appears in only a few scenes.

When Hazuki told her sister to jump I thought: "Are you dumb? she's half your size, she'll never make it"... but she made it, of course, I had forgotten she was a superpowered monkey... And then she falls, because she had to rescue the dishes...

What a fall, honestly... fortunately, instead of falling headfirst onto concrete, she fell headfirst onto car roofs so it wasn't so bad... wait what? Oh right, the superpowered monkey is made of very elastic materials, just look at how she bounces. XD

If only they had made it a 1 story fall, and not on her head... Maybe being a Galileo descendant means that gravity has nothing on you.

EDIT: So weird, I really enjoyed this episode, but undeniably, it was beyond awful (and not just because of the fall).

At least now I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the anime, they return home and find the goldfish still alive, flapping around on the floor.

Kind of boring overall. Sorry, as much as I anticipated this show, it's just kind of a snoozefest. Still gorgeous visuals and good music. Also, some plot holes in this episode as well as cliche moments. Obviously Anna was secretly evil.

This show is so badly written that it's laughable. Why are the pirates just randomly in Germany after being in Italy? If they followed the Galileo wouldn't they know where to find them without having to conveniently run into them in a shopping mall?

How did Hozuki survive that fall? It would have easily killed or crippled a normal person. The Micro Doctor would presumably be used for surgery, so how would it just magically cure a person's broken bones and damaged organs? Not to mention the concussion she would have if she had somehow survived the fall.

The writers seriously couldn't come up with a better conclusion than, "the homeless guy just happened to have the sketch the whole time!" Also, when they mention the moon sketch Hans simply says, "moon sketch?" and Anna just magically knows that he has it and isn't just repeating what he heard them say a mere moment before. Finally, we're meant to believe that a piece of paper that Galileo hid in the 1600's could not only survive outside for hundreds of years, but would not be found by anyone except a homeless man hundreds of years later? It's almost like the writer tried to shove as many plot contrivances as he could into a single episode.

How in hell did Hazuki and especially Hozuki make that jump from the window? The distance looks pretty far.

Also Hozuki bouncy body, she must be made of rubber, I wonder if shes related to Monkey D. Luffy. That fall would of killed a normal person.

Though their mother were shot by a bullet in the head and somehow survived but has amnesia. Let's not forget Hozuki father was hit by a RPG-7 Rocket, and then hit onto the wall and somehow survived.

Laws of Physics and etc must be pretty fucked up in that universe.

I guess the writers couldn't think up of a better idea for Kazuki character development, and lets give it to good old (Evil) Anna!

AH-AH. WHAT AN EPISODE.

Hozuki fell from like 30 meters or so slamming repeatedly on the iron and ends up with FEVER.

Kazuki learns in 15 seconds how to pilot a giant SHIP.

Meanwhile Jimmy Anna Hendrix is revelead that she hides something apparently EVIL. (What a Twiiiist)

Also, Cicinho retreated because he is INCOHERENT, at first he wanted to kidnap Galileo's sisters at any cost, but then he retreats because he doesn't want to stain his pride hunting an injured girl. (??)

Well, you know, the iron was probably rusty, so maybe that gave her a nasty infection. Otherwise she would have walked out fine as soon as she regained conscience, which I believe she lost from the impression of failing to save the dishes. >_>'

I consider this a clearing episode, yes there were some eye rolling scenes, but at least they got the sister bonding and the related melodrama out of the way, so now we can move on to the rest of the story, and the ending with the plates was well done.

And as bad episodes go, this wasn't that bad. I like that the ship has a security mode, Houzuki has been shown to know how to play things cool (particularly in the second episode), so I will be curious to see how she handles Anna. Anna's fainting over the sketch shows that she ultimately is not a bad person, but her obsession with Galileo could cause her to betray the sisters in order to get the story. Anyone who didn't get that Hazuki and the Pirate were going to end up together can now join the rest of humanity who figured this out in episode 1. The 2 bad guys being momentarily distracted by the panties was a good use of fanservice.

So, hope they got this out of their system, now on to the real plot!

This show is very quickly losing its way, unfortunately. It had an interesting premise and I love the opening theme but hopefully it starts to pick up within the next couple of episodes because my interest is waning. I don't want to drop it yet so I'll hold out for a bit because it still has potential.

Welcome back, Kazuki !

LOL Hozuki is really tough.

Still I consider it a fine episode if it is still to watch the 3 sisters doing superhuman deeds (seriously who still thinks the sisters are just normal human after seeing how Hozuki built the ship and mecha??? Don't be ridiculous.) If we recognize the sakuga and character design, which are all very good, there is NO WAY one could end up giving 1/5 for this episode.

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

The thing that bothered me most about that whole scene with Hozuki falling was not, her surviving, but that Hazuki actually made that jump. I mean come on, that were AT LEAST 5-6 meters. You just can't do that without a run-up, sufficient training and in such a situation.

There were two other things that bothered me in this episode (rather minor things, but still).
I can deal with them speaking Japanese despite the setting being Italy, but they should at least have some trouble communicating when they go to a different country (in this case Germany). It just doesn't make any sense for them to be able to talk to, for example Hans without any problems.
Also, there were quite a few mistakes on the German sign in the park. A little more effort wouldn't have hurt there.
They just took names that sounded remotely German and added "teich" "alle" or "wald" (by the way, the correct terms would be "Teich", "Allee" and "Wald", they didn't even bother with capitalization...)

See, Kazuki, if you stop bitching for a moment, you can amount to impressive deeds. Like learning to pilot a mecha in a blink of an eye. I'm always telling my parents to READ THE GODDAMN MANUAL, Kazuki shows how to do it properly.

The scene with Hozuki bouncing down several times and ending with a fever gives "Anime Cold" new meaning. Seriously though, not that it wasn't stupid on it's own, but I would actually be more surprised if a little child managed to jump to the other balcony without a run-up. Because really. Really.

Questions for today:
- WHERE is the goddamn goldfish? Is it dead?
- Did they just left the machine gun scooter and will it magically reemerge in later episodes?

But even all things considered...

Really? Who knows, but that would be perfectly rational is one really needed to have a reason why a Japanese show has people speaking Japanese.

Maybe Anna isn't a mole, but is secretly working with the girls' mother, who's faking amnesia to keep an eye on the bad guys? Of course, she might be working with AdniMoon, and may have staged the "rescue" in the second episode so the girls would lead her to the tesero...

And obviously Hozuki created a protective suit on her way down in the fall, which let her survive without being too badly hurt, that's why she bounced so much. She's just that awesome.

And today I learned that if you meet a strange smelly homeless man who lives in the woods, leave him alone with your badly injured unconscious little sister and she will be completely healed really quickly! Hmmm.

Two options: just turn your brain off and enjoy the pretty pictures; or accept that in this particular universe, physics works a little differently, turn your brain off, and enjoy the pretty pictures...

otherwise you'll just spend too much time trying to rationalize how those mecha fly and coming to terms with Galileo's proof of the Geocentric model of the universe...

They were speaking latin when Galileo was living, I agree. However, the show setting isn't that time. We actually get the accurate year:

"An original production from A-1 Pictures and airing on the coveted Noitamina block in Japan, Galilei Donna follows the three Ferrari sisters who are descendents of the astronomer, Galileo Galilei. The year is 2061 and the world is in the grips of another ice age. With a mysterious organization hunting them down and searching for the “Galilei Donna”, the three sisters must work together to fight against the organization and discover their true destinies."

(Source: ANN)

Therefore your theory is out of the question.

As I said, I have no problem if the people in a Japanese show speak Japanese, but the people of two (really existing) countries should not both speak Japanese, that just seems awkward. It's not like nobody has ever done anything that includes another language besides Japanese (The K-On Movie and Kiniro Mosaic are just two examples).

I'm actually a fan of the German capitalization system since it makes reading a lot easier. Additionally I have never heard of this organization which means that it obviously hasn't succeeded.
