If I wasn't convinced before that this is one of the most visually breathtaking shows of the season, this episode would have sealed the deal. That shot of the sunset from the bridge....WOW.

Oh, and Nagasaki mental images were lulz-worthy.

If anyone's interested:

湯音 is her name. Kanji originates from Chinese and carries meaning. It's pronounced Tang Yin and it means "Soup Sound" xD

lol yune's eyes are bigger than claude's. She's sooooo adorableeee everytimeeee >/////<

湯, yu, in japanese means "hot water".Japanese have different words for water:
omizu for cold water and oyu for hot water.
音, oto, means sound, that's right.

Yune walking around the puddle instead of jumping it was a pleasantly cute moment.

Well considering the dress and shoes she wearing is not like she could jump anyway.

Alice is such a Japanophile.

Personally i find the moment where she was making the sounds of the bell her cutest moment and not when she ate that pastry. Little glowing starts won't misguide me, lol.

Next episode would be interesting with that crazy Alice meeting her. I wonder if she will give her the kimono back. Knowing Yune she may very well not say it was hers or that it was a memento from her mother.

I'm glad the twins didn't play such a big role this episode. I hope they keep it to a minimum because this show realy doesn't need the usual anime schtik.

Noooooo, anyone but my poor Yune. I usually love fan service, but my adoration for Yune is a pure one.

Least of the worries

Hopefully the H artists will show mercy and refrain from making hentai of Yune, she's innocent.

I think Alice is just obsess with Japan, I don't really see anything bad about her. Can't wait to see her more involved, I think it would be great.
And Yune is just precious.

That was a great episode, I love the exchanges between Oscar/Yune and Claude about Japanese culture, they're so funny. Also, I don't think I like Alice, her type of character is kind of annoying, but she's only had like 2 minutes of screen time so maybe she'll become more likable once she's developed.

Oh my god, this show hasn't disappointed yet. Claude has become a nice guy, and I like how Yune and Claude are becoming good friends. Yune is as cute as ever, of course. I laughed a couple times, some parts were mildly humorous. I don't really watch it for comedy, though.

Overall, yeah this show is awesome.

The new character looks annoying.

Welp, she is voiced by Yuuki Aoi so hopefully that helps.

Such a cute episode as always <3
Claude's imagination of where Yune used to live was so funny. XD

And...
Yune: Awn, Claude didn't take an umbrella -goes after him-
-finds him-
Yune: blalblalbla
Claude -in the rain-: blalbalbla
After a long talk and after Claude's all wet, then Yune finally offers the umbrella for him XD

I'm seriously considering making a montage of Yune eating new foods once this series ends. Then again, I might die from the concentrated cuteness in the process of doing so.

Alice is like weeaboo: 19th century edition.

Oh Man.. This animu Ikoku Meiro no Croisée  is just SWEET AND CUTIE PIE. That makes you enjoy watching because it has many emotions that touch the audience. I just love it .
But Guys I've been wondering and might be you've heard this question before, I still don't get it even after watching three episodes so far HOW CAN Yune's family allow her to go overseas at such young age alone? At first I thought she doesn't have a family and to tell you the truth, I thought she might be belong to the Red District and they sold her or something by sending her with Oscar to get profit but Now it revealed that Yune does have an older sister called Shione, and she was living in a big mansion, so she was living with some high class family thus it makes even more understandable to send such a cute little girl with a really loveable personality ALONE!! with a traveller stranger old man!! I mean what kind of creditability Oscar does he have other he is fortunately happened to be a good person yet he was just visiting the country in a tour. If you think about it rationality Yune case would be a Child Trafficking, and I can't see it in any other that, and unfortunately the Child Trafficking is a serious problem that we still have it in our modern world especially in the far east countries and by Child Trafficking I mean the children who are trafficked into prostitution, forced labour, child marriage and other slavery-like conditions.

I am sorry if I had put it in a bad way but I'd like to hear what you guys think about this?

And Oscar is still flirting with the ladies...

The art is fabulous, but gawd why do the characters and writing have to be so awful? I suspected it when I read the show's synopsis, but this really is just another work of Japan priding itself on its differences from other cultures, and there's something disgusting about personifying Japan in the ever-so-perfectly-adorable little virgin girl. I will feel bad missing out on the detailed turn-of-the-century Parisian landscapes, but I've already lost my patience. Dropped.

With this episode, it feels like this show is starting to find its groove. We got some cultural exchange, Claude is doing work, we got to see more of the Gallery's financial situation, and there was finally a walk around Paris with the weather changing. Still, it feels like there's a bit of an imbalance of how much Japan is talked up compared to France. At least, Paris is shown more, if just a section of it, but Japan is talked about more in comparison. Since I'm from neither place, I'm getting a benefit of learning bits about both, but for someone living in Japan, this seems almost like ego stroking.

Nitpicks aside, I wish this had an English dub. It probably would have made more sense, but that's wishful thinking. For now, I'm kicking back and enjoying this show's slow and calm pace.
