It makes sense if they want to keep up their mental and physical health in top condition. And lol, that swimming scene. Amou wasn't mentally prepared. On a serious note, I think he's improving on piloting his mech, specifically with maneuvers and using that armed blade. |

| Amou and Gashin are training together and as expected from Amou, he's struggling but he's doing his best. Surprisingly, everyone else is friendly with him at the Base Camp which is a great thing for him. He's even improved his physical stamina and strength will all the training. Also, great to see that he's joining them and he's able to handle the AMAIM much more efficiently. Gashin is still cold to him tho. |

| Of course we got super edgy sasuke character. And one hot onee-san ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) So yeah, as expected from the last week's episode ending, if you dig up your own personal gundam, not only the army that is oppressing your country will notice ... but also the resistance that is fighting for freedom of your country will notice. But these guys will want you to join them, and not kill you. Thats good i guess. Also one thing, this show is VERY japanese, and i don't mean the patriotism aspect. Just the design of those AI avatars is very folk-like (and cute). |

| So there's the new guy: Teuka Gashin piloting another AMAIM called Jogan with Kei as his AI. He's part of the Resistance army Yatagarasu to fight against Japan's colonialism. So that AMAIM Kenbu that Shiibu was piloting was theirs, that due to mishap, lost all contact with it. For a fair trade, Kumai Goken offering Amou a chance to join them in this parade, and he's still undecided because it will change his life forever to fight until his death. For Tezuka, it's the will of his family, and the others like Kozaki, being treated harshly with contempt, for more of less the same reasons to take back Japan. IMO, since Amou is already in a similar situation, he should also join as well and not hold the others back. And for that, Tezuka offering to train Amou on the double physcially, plus the others mentally to keep him in shape. AMAIM Kenbu's MAILeS upgrade was leaps beyond what Amou envisioned, and that's a good thing. And together with Amou having a spine, he decides to join them since he's quite attached to Kenbu, and plus that overhaul, looks set to go. Even the mock sparring session in their AMAIM mechs isn't left out, so all bases are covered. There's trouble ahead at base camp...a given for all things infiltration. |

| Kenbu is looking great with the upgrades, it even has it's own machine gun, something that is needed so badly. Amou really needs to get in gear though, because he's in the middle of a war and his skills while good still has some shake and jank. One thing I do like is that the pilots are going to use each other's AMAIMs from time to time instead of being in one AMAIM all the time, it's something missing from most mecha anime, and those that have done it (Gundam), do it so rarely. |

| Gashin Tezuka; Setsuna F. Seiei's character design, Lockon Stratos's military role. But his role as a character is to be this annoying Chang Wufei style prick. Purple hair Onee-san? God damn, now they gone and introduced a dollar store Misato. Is the red-haired American dude that was closely watching Amou/Kenbu last episode the pilot of the new black AMAIM? Possible reference to GNX-Y901TW Susanowo? |

| Now that was some excellent shooting from our mysterious sniper. Given that Amou's unit had an AI with it stands to reason that there will be others as well. The insight into how Kenbu ended up where it was sure was insightful. On the surface Gashin may sound rash but i think the mere sight of seeing innocents hurt is what garnishes him. Man these invaders really are trash abusing their rights after harming innocents. Harsh as it is the physical health of the pilot is just as important as the mecha that they're piloting. The new gear and complete overhaul though looks really nice and would serve to add far more options for Amou. The mock battle was a nice opportunity to see how both Gashin and Amou would do when using other mechs. Overall an excellent ep that served to expand upon both the lore and the narrative by introducing the character of Gashin and the resistance. Amou at the moment still looks like he has doubts but given time im sure he will find the answer he needs. That black mecha at the end though sure had a nice design though. |

| Now those were some very nice, polite and understanding terrorist. It's a stretch even for a power fantasy for teenagers. I really dislike this formula - having a dull middle part of the episode and just when the things start to get interesting, yes you guessed it, it's cliffhanger time! |

| So Amou has joined the ‘terrorists’ group which are seeking to free Japan. He also seems to be controlling his AMAIM very well now and tied in a mock battle with Gashin. Looking forward to the next episode! |

| I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of skeptical about Yatagarasu's plan to reclaim Japan. There's no telling how much man power the actually have even though they seem to be well connected in Japan. I doubt they have the power to push back three armed factions that are occupying Japan. I can also see why Shiiba is hesitating on joining them because all he wants to do is build and pilot machines. He has no dog in this fight nor a legit reason for joining them until that mech showed up and attacked the base camp. |

| All I can say is that with all the introductions in this episode, I can really feel that my "Japanese for Beginners" courses are starting to pay off, lol. Mostly just a training episode, but I was wondering if we were even going to get a mech fight this time, but with Amou vs. Gashin I wasn't disappointed. And, of course, "The Power of Friendship" makes Amou and Gai a force to be reckoned with. Now, I wonder how we'll meet the third pair of partners from the OP, since they don't seem to be present at the Resistance's camp. |
| So far the story is a bit lack luster, but the action scenes are pretty solid, and I like the design of the mechs. It would be nice if the MC could develop into a bit more of a unique character. |

| To tell the truth, this is getting quite dull. A good chunk of this episode was just people telling each other their essentially-identical backstories. And we're only now getting what appears to be an actual antagonist. Perhaps another episode, another chance, but my patience is wearing thin. |

| I swear if Risa onee-chan dies, imma be sad. Judging from the preview and the amount of death flags she piled up in a single episode, it's highly likely she does. Upgraded Kenbu looks pretty sick. |

There should be no problem letting some untrained kid we haven't indoctrinated use one of our best weapons. He seems like a nice guy, after all. This presents no risk to us and anything else would be bad manners. |
| Not a bad episode. Hate to sound like a broken record, but a lot of similarities to Code Geass, as far as the setting is concerned. Unfortunately, this one hasn't been as interesting when compared. Hopefully the story starts to pick up soon. |
| each episode has about 18 minutes of the mc being a goof with no goals and 2 minutes of "wow cool mecha" I expected much more from this. the mc irks me. |

| Interesting, so his AMAIM is originally from that resistant army that even repaired and improved it and he's actually joining them, Gashin is pretty interesting in training with Shiiba and his other AMAIM, seems like they all struggled (as expect) especially with these family stories :S |
