| Not really and the overwhelming majority of BL fans are straight females rather than gay males as is shown quite well by Genshiken. Certainly, it's not one of my interests, but I'm appreciating a view into just what makes that segment of otaku fandom tick. Usually the fujoshi character is strictly played for comic relief, here they're actually allowed to explain what attracts them to that genre, and we get to see them in action. I find Hato to be one of the most intriguing characters in this season's crop of shows. I don't ship him with Madarame at all, Madarame is still hopelessly and forlornly hung up on Saki. I do think that there is some chemistry between Hato and Yajima and that's what causes her to be so reactive to his cross-dressing. Poor Madarame. He really is wrestling with becoming an adult and leaving his university life behind, but his whole social scene is really restricted to the club, even though it's moved in a different direction with the current members. It would be nice if someone other than Angela took an interest in him, but unfortunately, all too often, the kind responsible guys finish last... |

| I think the episode was entertaining, but I feel it needs something more/else to sell; they basically devoted a whole episode to a conversation between two guys inside an apartment, bakemonogatari does fine with that sort of thing, but the style is very different. Albeit this is no Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, the jokes at the end were dead right about Genshiken lacking the appeal needed do well in disc sales, because IMO it feels the plot is more like we have Hato-kun character development first and second we get to know a bit about fujoshis. Last but no least, no Sue-chan scene in the whole episode!? that was outrageous, I don't care if there was none in the manga, you do not need a lot of effort or time to think of an original anime only scene. Also, there WAS a beach chapter in the previous season (and a mountain chapter that never was animated with girl on girl action >_<). |

| Ep was very "educational" in regards to BL/traps in H games (I never knew dudes can get preggers in those games, WTF!?) But is it just me or has there been a bit too many references to Free! in Genshiken (mentioned this time in the next ep preview, as opposed to the past eps where we see it referenced in doujin covers/pics, etc.) |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

I am a fujoshi and enjoy many of the things mentioned in this season and I must admit, it is nice to have something in the anime world that really peaks into that subculture-within-a-subculture that other fans don't know about or ignore. And while I do enjoy *some* of the comedic relief fujoshi characters inserted into other series for quick laughs it's nice to have a series that really dives into it and gives other people a bit of an explanation of how that sect thinks. I know it won't appeal to the anime fan masses but I'll definitely support it, who knows when something like this [exploring fujoshi] will come along again. |

If there is no Genshiken Nidamime sequel (there is more manga material where this series will end off), the odds are that there will never be another anime that explores fujoshi subculture since anime (like movies) is a business and no one puts money on a losing horse. Sadly I doubt there will be many fujoshi that supports this anime buying the dvd/blu-ray release, if said sales bomb the posibility of a sequel are zero IMO. In case you are wondering how can I be so sure, take a look at wannabes, it was an attempt at muscular female wrestlers, it bombed, 27 years later there hasn't been even one similar anime, but there will be a barbie doll moanfest next season by the name "Wanna Be the Strongest in the World" -_-; |

| Liked the episode, but I really wish they could find something to talk about besides BL. | Madarame's H-game talk took the series back to its roots. That pregrant scene is the most confusing and disturbing scene I've ever seen. Hope to see more of the Genshiken male gang. It's weird that they changed Madarame's VA, as he appears very often in this show. The other males are treated as cameos. |

| Episode extraordinarily serious in everything except small glimpses of comedy. The narrative speaks of the problems facing the Genshiken on how to prepare for the student festival, tribulations among the members who do not give about this anime, since he knows to be also serious when he wants. More and more attention is given to Hato-kun, but I appreciated the paretesi also given to Yajima and Reki. Plot that seems to bring more upheaval in the history of Genshiken, with the possible exit from the cast of the historic member Madarame, who knows how it will end. Excellent drawings and animations, changes that take my breath both as regards the story as regards the characters; it is a pleasure to follow this TV series. |
