Mm, more training between the girls.

I do like the way they are developing the action this season, feels intense even if some segments aren't very long. Fuuka is getting used to her new lifestyle more than expected.

Einhart is still awesome, always trying to help out her friends. O
Oh God can't help but laugh at that lewd Fuuka moment

So it looks like Fuuka is adapting to her new life style and she is a hard worker.
Tho her transformation had some issues, speaking of which lot's of fas service during those transformation scenes.
Looks like Rinne might be appearing faster than i thought i wonder how this will turn out.

Meh, I didn't like the "transform into jersey form just because".

I get VS is about Fuuka and Rinne, and we are probably not going to see Rio and Corona, or even Vivio/Einhart on stage fully armed, so it maybe a now or never deal.

But changing into adult-mode just for the sake of showing the audience is... meh. Heck they didn't even spar after all the hassle.

Kinda slow-paced episode. I wonder how come Fuuka is so strong, is she gonna be a strongest character by the end?

I'm hoping that Vivio's presence isn't diminished a whole lot. The story basically follows Fuuka and Rinne with Einhald offering guidance but nonetheless while not fond of her overall demeanor, I am a huge fan of Vivio's fighting style.

Also can't wait to see Fuuka fully armed with a device

Say what, girl

Slow episode and very SoL-sy, but we get a look into Fuuka's daily routine after settling in.

Loved the little chibi bit at the end with Einhart being jealous since Fuuka petted Vivio lol

Rinne have a very bad attitude, but it looks like she doesn't think she is being rude......What happened to her?
And I never expected Fuuka learning Haōryū,it felt weird but also looks cool

Not a bad thing getting some insight on Fuka's current situation and what she's up to. Talk about a busy lifestyle. Get up incredibly early, work, run, train a bit, eat, work, train, work, sleep. She is definitely earning her food and board.

Certainly Rinne's public persona is not very personable. I wonder just what has gone on since she moved in with that rich family? I'd presume they are the reason she is acting like this now. Although the other suspicious thing is how utterly complete and skilled she is in every respect.

Should be interesting when they get to talk to her next episode.

Rinne is basically just a MMA fighter in mahou shoujo clothes. Don't know why this is even related to the Nanoha franchise...

I believe that she is transformed since like minute 19 she is casting magic (shooting beams and casting magic circles) but yeah I thought at the beggining that is just a fancy battle suit, not a mahou transformation.

The transformations were really lackluster compared to the other shows. Hopefully because it wasn't into Barrier Jacket.

The entire concept of "Striker Arts" was introduced with the previous M.L. Nanoha Vivid series last year, tho' I can't recall it having some of the things one would see in MMA (notable grappling on the mat). Possibly a different format than what was seen in Vivid (so, no golems for Corona(?)).
One question that this episode raises for me is: just how easy is it to make devices? In this episode, we have a couple of the girls (granted, skilled mages but still rather young) volunteering to build Fuuka's device, when in Vivid, Hayate (who is one of the "power goddesses" of the franchise), was the one who built Einhart's and (IIRC) Vivio's devices.

I'd be surprised if they personally build Fuka's device. I thought it was more "leave procuring one to us." Since after all...they have the contacts to get one built for Fuka. They personally know everyone needed for that job. Whether they'll say who built the device I'm not sure. If they are trying to distance themselves from the original cast and branch out then they may only leave it implied that they got Hayate to build one.

Those girls have skills, but I'm not sure any of them know how to build a modern Belka Device on their own.

Would be a shame if Corona wasn't still using Golems. I hope they aren't abandoning the idea of some fighters outright using weapons. It made it an interesting setup where you had different types of fighters all competing.

In the end the Vivid world is them taking this magical society and peering into a different section of it. The original 3 main series covered more of the criminal side, global catastrophe, and the military part of it. The Vivid series going more focused into what these young and talented mages do when they aren't enlisting in the military. And makes sense some would become magical fighting athletes.

Hmm thats one way of stopping your alarm but wow

Love the opening theme though and i didn't realize that Yui Ogura sung it as well. She has a pretty good voice.

At least Fuuka now has a place to live and a place to work. The president sure was nice in providing these to her.

Plus she gets to train with Eins and the rest of the girls.

Eins is a pretty interesting character though and i hope that she gets developed as the series goes on. And man that was a large breakfast.

The training though was funny with Miura just effortlessly lifting those weights just like that.

The fight between Eins and Fuuka though was cool but completely one sided
though

The transformation scene though was pretty well done and after transformation they all do look like adults. Fuuka's was funniest i guess.

Overall an interesting episode and in addition to seeing Fuuka's duties
we also got to see the girls transform using magic into their adult forms
Combining magic and fighting is a interesting combo for this anime

Rinne is definitely strong and top-ranked but still defeated by Vivio by a close match points. so this means even einhart is also as strong or stronger than Rinne?
4/5.

Lolol, people don't even know that this show is from the lyrical Nanoha-verse XD

We get more badass loli-fist action and competition!

I miss the epic plot stuff though. When Nanoha & co were fighting interdimensional terrorists and stuff, instead of this pseudo-futuristic martial arts tournament stuff which kinda lacks the actual soul and feel of core martial arts. It's more like watching a series about modern boxing. The relevance of competition sport doesn't extend outside it's own circles, nobody but those interested in the fights have any care or knowledge of it, and the fighters do nothing but fulfill their own goals and perpetuate the sport.

Why is there so much modernistic retro-tech in a world that's supposed to be part of a futuristic interdimensional civilization?

The old Nanoha stuff was awesome, we were travelling the worlds and fighting big-bads with strategy and showing off uncanny overpowered abilities of Nanoha and the few that could compare to her ridiculous firepower. They were changing the world(s) with their actions, as they were the elites that everyone went to to solve the massive conflict issues or disasters that nobody else had the assets to do anything about. Now she's hardly even mentioned as if nobody gave a damn.

Even Vivio was a significant individual rescued from a big bad, and she herself was a key important piece to a revolution plot. Now she's just another fighter? Way to demean it all. I sure as hell hope they do some more epic with the Nanoha-verse and not stick to the microcosm from now on.

wtf with ppl not expecting AND think the transformation scene is unnecessary? First and foremost this is Mahou shoujo anime, if there is no transformation in the 2nd ep when there is none in 1st ep, then it will lost it's identity especially after they went with all these martial art stuff.

Good episode explaining what their daily life was like. I was expecting some flashy outfits after the transformations but it looks like their clothes only change size

I'm liking this so far. There's some nice action and I'm also liking the OST!

Lol at Vivio training and just punching really quickly xD

Transformations were nice.. Music was a bit funny, though, lol.. Reminded me of older games like Digimon World 2 or something, lol.. So feel was a bit as if they're digivolutioning, lol.. But it's more of a bonus, I guess, lol.. ;p Overall transformations were done well..
Seven years passed.. And she was under 15 then?.. Well, she could have been any age in that group.. Like 8, or whatever.. But if she was 15, and 7 years passed, it makes them around 22?.. Well, not 22, 21..
Rinne looks cold, but there are probably some reasons..

Excellent episode.

Fuka is doing some hard training.

It was interesting to learn more about Rinne. She's a very tough opponent.

Those transformation scenes were beautiful. I liked all that fanservice. Fuka's first transformation wasn't very successful, haha. xD
