According to the Republic of San Magnolia, their ongoing war against the Giadian Empire has no casualties—however, that is mere propaganda. Vladilena Milizé is assigned to the Spearhead squadron to replace their previous Handler. Shunned by her peers for being a fellow Eighty-Six supporter, she continues to fight against their inhumane discrimination. Shinei Nouzen is the captain of the Spearhead squadron. Infamous for being the sole survivor of every squadron he's been in, he insists on shouldering the names and wishes of his fallen comrades. When the fates of these young souls from two different worlds collide, will it ignite the spark that lights their path to salvation, or will they burn themselves in the flames of despair?

I've seen my share of good shows, and honestly I think after watching good amount shows we kinda get picky and invest our time only to some rare shows I personally do a good amount research before watching any show this days, I never saw this show when it was airing never gave it much thought even though I've heard some good things about this show, then I gave it a try so let me share what I experienced.
This anime starts rather slow I even felt like dropping the show one the half way through first episode but the rumour kept me watching I ... thought I will drop it in the 3rd episode if nothing interesting happens by then, the second episode was better than the first it introduced many characters and I kinda liked the interaction between them the conversations were revealing their characters little by little by the end of 2nd episode I thought it's good. The third episode was however defining episode for me it turned completely on its head and you'll be faced with the harsh reality of what to expect from this show, I still remember how the episode ended with the ed suddenly dropping in(the ed is lit🔥🔥🔥) it reminded me of rezero and requiem of silence episode.
This is not a show about world building and politics this show is based upon a idea of post apocalyptic world and aftermath of lot of harsh decision taken in course of history and warfare you'll be thrown into the world and you can't change it only thing you can do is survive and go on, isn't kinda same with how we are living how many things can you change think about it? Remember this is a advice don't watch this show with the idea of changing the world it's about how survive when you can't really change much, this is a great show one of the best I've seen please give it try you won't regret it.

Mixed Feelings

An anime about mecha and politics, that can't seem to do either of them right.

Story 6/10
Endless talking with a minuscule amount of story sprinkled in between. The only purpose this endless talk seems to have is to introduce us to the characters, but this could be done in a lot less time with how little personality the characters have. World building works surprisingly well and is somewhat interesting. Once we're done with the basic world building, the story tries to get deep, but instead takes a route so generic I didn't even know it could be done.

Characters 5/10
Most have a nonexistent personality, others are generic. ... Our main girl Lena is okayish but still not well enough written to praise.

Art 8/10
Usually quite good. In a few scenes, characters were visibly worse animated. The scenery and background often great.

Sound 8/10
Good voice acting and environmental sounds and great music.

Enjoyment 7/10
Even with how much there is pointless talking scenes, and not so good drama, I couldn't find myself getting bored even in the slightest. I also must say that if I'd watched this a couple years back I would've most likely loved this.

Overall 6/10
A totally fine watch. I most likely just grew out of liking this kind of series.

This show is really boring

Plot: 86 tries to be deep and profound but is actually as shallow as a puddle. Its not entertaining and captivating at all. Theres also too much talking and exposition which are completely irrelevant to the plot

Characters: Honestly speaking, i do not care for any of the characters in the show except lena and anju. Lena is cute and i like anju because of her va. Shin is too edgy and stoic for my liking. The author tried too hard to make him cool and badass but he is just cringe. The side characters are very generic and forgettable. I didnt ... feel anything at their death and backstory

Animation: The animation of this show is great. The fight scenes are great in terms of animation but lack depth and emotion. Shin fights some robots called legion and its really boring. Theres no strategy involved and we are not shown villian perspectives. It fails to captivate the audience

Music: Great music

Overall: Great show to watch it you want to fall asleep
