Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 2

Even after spending a considerable amount of time with Takagi, Nishikata is still struggling to find a perfect plan to defeat the expert teaser. A battle of wits, a contest of physical prowess, a test of courage—any strategy he employs to expose her weaknesses is to no avail. On the contrary, Nishikata's pitiful attempts only reveal more of his own flaws, which Takagi takes advantage of to become increasingly daring in her teasing attempts. To make things worse for Nishikata, rumors about him and Takagi may have spread in class due to the frequent interactions between them.

However, the optimistic Nishikata believes that wisdom comes with age and that as the days go by, his experience with her constant teasing will eventually bear fruit, leading him to the awaited moment of victory. Thus, Nishikata continues to strive for the seemingly impossible—to outsmart Takagi and make her blush with embarrassment.

The second season of Teasing Master Takagi-san is a perfect continuation of what was established in the first season. Season two begins right after the events of the previous season as if there was no gap at all. You could smash these two seasons together and be none the wiser. It's really that seamless.

The first season was already the best at what it does, and yet the second season refines and improves in every way over the first season. There's still no plot to speak off and the sporadic episodic nature of the storytelling is mostly the same however the writers do a much better ... job of establishing and forming a loose continuity here in the second season. It's much clearer in this season that events are flowing one after another and in one continual direction. Characters tend to mention previous events and/or foreshadow future ones while also more often intersecting with one another. This greatly helps with the feeling of progression and development that was all but nonexistent in the original season. Speaking of development, the romance factor is much higher here. In fact, I would say the entire second season is primarily focused on the romance side of this romcom. There's such a clear and profound progression of romantic tension between our leads that by the midpoint of the season it becomes increasingly and blindly obvious that it's building to some romantic climax. The teasing gradually stops being silly, fun, and creative and more or less about expressing feelings to one another in an indirect but certainly explicit way. Takagi is NOT subtle about what she wants and by the latter third or so of the season she is done pretending to be just his friend and classmate. Takagi drops all pretense of ambiguity and shame and just straight up transitions to outright blatant flirting which our beloved dense headed protagonist interprets as her setting traps for him but in reality, she is 100% being earnest with him. She becomes quite aggressive in her advancements as the latter half of the season progresses which for me was very entertaining to see. Takagi is practically PLEADING for him to acknowledge her by the end.

As was the case in the first season this is an aggressively cute, sweet, and pure season of anime. There's absolutely no lust, lewdness, or innuendo to be found here. There's no drama, conflict, nor romantic rivals of any kind. This is an innocent wholesome story between two middle school kids discovering love in their own awkward and silly way. Do not go into this if you think romantic development means physicality because frankly you lack the emotional intelligence to enjoy the story trying to be told here. Save your time and move on. For those who enjoy cute and wholesome romance stories this is an absolute must watch.

Ok so a season 2 of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 2 or Skilled Teaser Miss Takagi has ended, ok so if you're Nishkata how would you get back at Takagi who has been teasing you for quite sometime??? Flip her skirt and see what color of panty she's wearing, pull a nasty prank at here by spiking her drink or food with some date rape drug, splash her with some cold water or just tell her that she fat and needs to loose some weight.

Unfortunately for Niskata he was just too damn stupid, that he seems to be a glutton for punishment, cu'z ... he just keeps on making all kinds of lame strategies that always end in failure, so how do I rate this mediocre anime?????

Story- Mediocre 5: Everything about it was just as usual, the same Takagi teasing Nishkata, Niskata being the usual sucker, the 3 girls Mina, Sanae, and Yukari who basically represent this anime's slice of life segment, not even the addition of new love birds Hamaguchi and Hujou hardly make any difference with this anime's story plot.

Art- Mediocre 5: The only changes around here was the uniform, were we see them characters in their winter outfit , but there was that one time Mina in a hot yellow bikini in her dream sequence and that's as good as it gets.

Sound- Mediocre 5: I got nothing to say.

Character- Mediocre 5: The same Takagi who still teases Nishkata, Nishkata being the usual sucker, the same 3 girls with their own segment , the addition of two new lover birds Hamaguchi and Hujou were just the extension of Mano and Nakai.

Enjoyment-Mediocre 5: Well given the predictability of the characters, there were some episodes that I've watched but there were some that I've skipped. I mean what's the point if if gonna be Niskata getting tease by Takagi

Overall - Mediocre 5: At one point this would have been good as a 3 episode OVA rather than a 2nd season, cu'z it was just boring that studio Shin-Ei Animation should've have not made a sequel when the manga has already ended. So just read the manga and you'll know how it ended.

Hello Everynyan, here I have a review of Teasing Master Takagaki-san Season 2

I had just painstakingly completed the first season yesterday. My hope was that, seeing the increasing scores as the seasons went on, the first season was just a slow starter, and the real gold was to be found in the sequels: character progression, dynamic shifts, a real coming of age & coming of intelligence story. Only that I saw zero semblance of anything of the sort and instead, was pulled into the dark illusion of MAL scoring.

First, I'd like you to read a bit of the synopsis for this season, which I ... stupidly ignored:

"A battle of wits, a contest of physical prowess, a test of courage—any strategy he employs to expose her weaknesses is to no avail. On the contrary, Nishikata's pitiful attempts only reveal more of his own flaws".

So.. how is season 2 of Teasing Master Takagi-san?
To put it bluntly, it's the same dog shit.
Same formula, same execution, same sand-filled vanilla flavour. Nishikata is just as painful to watch and I was praying and praying for some some sort of change, for any bit of development. Spoiler alert: the wisdom did not come with age, the poor kid is just as weak and manipulated throughout S2 as he was in S1.

I reached about 9 episodes in before I gave up any further attempt to continue watching this garbage pile of a series. That being said, this whole series is just a romanticisation of male anxiety and overthought towards the opposite sex. A series designed for low confidence individuals to self insert as MC, but disguised as a 'romantic comedy'. This was neither romantic or funny.

If you want a true romantic comedy, you can go watch Kaguya-sama Love is War, where the characters are absurdly eccentric, but they capitalise on their strengths and put great efforts to hide their weaknesses from each other in their awkward power struggle for love and acceptance. If you want a sweet middle schooler romance between an unlikely couple, perfect osts from God Kensuke, real perceivable growth between the cast of characters although a bit cringe at times, then I would urge you to watch The Dangers in My Heart.

I would've said that this is Kaguya-sama from Temu, but that would be highly insulting to Kaguya. You watch Kaguya-sama for the comedic character chemistry, whilst you watch this anime to fulfil your masochist fantasy: to have a girl be there to love you and tease you 24/7 while your pathetic-self is on full display. I could not stomach another episode and risk any brain damage. Rather than waste another 69 minutes on this fucked series, I instead used a fraction of that time to detective a little bit to understanding the reason behind these ridiculously high scores. It really didn't take long, and it certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand:

1-2 negative reviews on all sequels vs 18 on the first season.

S1 - 7.67 with 627k members
S2 - 8.02 with 355k members
S3 - 8.37 with 206k members
MOV - 8.42 with 90k members

Most people had left this series by the end of S1. That means most the sane crowd had left in search of more intelligible anime, and the remaining mama-boy teet suckers stay behind to relish in their pitiful feel-good self-insertion as MC.

"10/10!!! heartwarming story omg i need to find myself a takagi san who will tease me until i cream my pants!! oWo i hate bullies but being bullied by a girl??? take my money and dignity!!!!!!" - is my final evaluation of the mentality behind the relatively thinned-out fanbase. I can, in no dimension, imagine myself personally being able to put my name on something classifying this as a 'Very Good' (8.02) anime. From the start to E9, it was a long and arduous journey of monotony and of minimal deviance in story progression. It was like watching grass grow. I really would pay money to dive into some of the minds here to understand how the fans are enjoying this slop. The reality of today is that we all live in respective miniature bubbles. I, myself may be in one unbeknownst to myself. But today, I felt like I visited a bubble I really didn't need to discover. I was lured by the franchise's sweet illusion from the high sequel scorings, but please, I pray you don't get honeydicked like me.

Summary: I was looking forward to an improvement in the series, hoping S1 was a slow burner. I instead went through 9 mind-numbing copypastes disguised as episodes and emerged as an analyst. IF you liked S1, you will like S2 (and i am very concerned about you for reasons listed in my previous review). IF you have any semblance of intelligence within your skull, DO NOT, for the love of God, waste your days on this earth watching this mind-regressing slop job.

Teasing Master Takagaki-san Season 2, just like Season 1, gets awarded a 2/10.
