But the hideous secret that drove Ash's older brother mad in Vietnam has suddenly fallen into Papa's insatiably ambitious hands—and it's exactly the wrong time for Eiji Okamura, a pure-hearted young photographer from Japan, to make Ash Lynx's acquaintance... Since Devilman was great I'm willing to give this a shot.

Never read the manga but the synopsis looked kind of interesting. I'll definitely be on the look out for how this goes. I think working with the original style of the manga like with Ushio no Tora would be best for something like this. Although that being said, I haven't been a fan of MAPPA's works lately so I am not sure if this will fare well.

I honestly thought this was a counterpart to Banaya
This definitely looks interesting

Literally screamed when I saw that Banana Fish was getting an anime adaption.
The manga is soo underrated. Hopefully this garners a lot of attention!

I really love this manga. It deserves more recognition so I hope it gets a legit adaptation. It needs at least 26 episodes.

I'm very excited for this!! I like the title lol.

This was one of the last manga I expected to ever get an anime adaptation, but serious AOTY potential if they don't try and cram the whole story into 12-13 episodes.

I'm worried about the director. This couldn't be more opposite of Kyoto Anime's usual stuff if it tried.

I loved the manga and what MAPPA is doing right now. It's refreshing to see a studio willing to try different things.

I don't get why people post comments just to give dumb reasons as to why they're not interested. ._.

Never heard of this series before, but it's an older manga and definitely sounds interesting, so I'll check it out. I'm wondering how many episodes though 'cause the manga seems to have some length to it.

Uhh, isn't the director work specifically for KyoAni production anime? Did she change studio or what?
She only directed Free. Afterwards leaving and becoming a freelancer. Her ties with kyoani is no more.

Would be interesting to see if she brings some visual traits from kyoani into her work at MAPPA
