@LeonhartAugust Like them both too and yeah Tsuda Kenjirou too ofc. Seki can just keep voicing Gilgamesh to eternity lol.

@MegamiRem

Meanwhile, Nakamura Yuuichi and Tsuda Kenjiro still gets main roles no problem. Makes me happy since some seiyuus I love like Seki Tomokazu hardly get roles these days.

ADDITIONAL cast? I thought we had enough girls already in s1 what on earth is this

As an aside note, like. compared to the main cast its really weird

This series still would be pretty far off from the manga even after the second season. And it doesn't even look like author is planning to stop anytime soon lol.

@misterreicchi @iwubanime This has been normal practice in recent years. Look who voices the side characters in a couple of hyped shows of the last 5-7 years, for example, ReZero.

There is some crazy talent being shown here. I had assumed these were side characters.

Overall, I'm very excited for this season. I haven't read any of the source material. My only complaint for the first season was that it seemed to give the clear advantage to one girl. I just hope things are a bit more even but given the way the polls for girls in this show have gone.. I'll be shocked if that direction changes. Not that I disliked her but she seemed a bit too perfect and that's why she wasn't my pick. Still, really enjoyed the first season. Looking forward to this!

Imagine, the 5 supporting girls got an all star cast. Damn.

@MegamiRem Because my example was that even as a veteran whose peak is in the past, he gets more meaningful roles than many new prominent VAs could imagine. I'm not saying that we shouldn't appreciate any of Rieri's roles or that they mean anything. All I'm pointing out at this point is that she gets them in incredible quantities. As for the types, I can agree that there are noticeably fewer typical tsundere characters from the times of the four great tsunderes, but judging by the fact that Takehito Koyasu is still relevant, there is still a demand for characters with a charismatic, powerful voice (although the guy will soon be celebrating his 60th birthday in a couple of years).

@RobertBobert Why would any seiyuu ever refuse to have prominent roles. Anyway I only said she'll have less roles as time goes on like others. Which is to say we should appreciate what we are getting rn cause in future she might not have as many roles. Thing about Daisuke Ono is he has a very powerful, impactful voice and these days we don't get charismatic characters like Jotaro or Erwin much. So seiyuus who have a wide range will still be in demand in comparison. Tsundere Queen also voiced mostly a specific archetype so same applies to her and she's 44 so there's that too. Big fan of both btw.

I sometimes feel very sad that the seiyuus that defined my anime watching experience are getting old and get very few roles these days.

May 14, 3:50 PM by MegamiRem

@MegamiRem In theory, yes. But looking at the current career of HanaKana or someone like Yuichi Nakamura, I can say that many aspiring VAs would not refuse to have so many prominent roles. Both peaked in the 00s and first half of the 10s, but they are still doing great in their typecasting. Although I don't argue, at the same time there are VAs who either completely disappear like Daisuke Ono, or get current roles only from time to time like the Tsundere Queen.

May 14, 2:24 PM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert I was talking about her future not right now and I said she's gonna have less roles than now not that she won't have any. Hanazawa Kana was practically voicing one character in every anime back in the days but it got reduced significantly as she aged. Basically seiyuus = idols. Age progression = less demand.

May 14, 2:15 PM by MegamiRem

@MegamiRem Therefore, I wrote relatively, not to mention the fact that it was not about age, but about the active phase of her career, which began in the second half of the 10s. I don't know about future prospects. For example, Mamiko Noto continues to actively gets new roles, not to mention significant new roles like Prospera in G-WItch or Elsa in ReZero, even after Saori Hayami effectively took over her typecasting almost entirely.

Lol, of course Rieri will be in the new season. I wonder if she is really that popular among relatively young VAs? Or does she have dirt on someone in the industry, lmao?
She ain't young anymore bro, she's over 30. In the following years she won't be having as many roles every season, specially younger character/fmc roles. Look at HanaKana and Hayamin for example or their predecessors.

May 14, 1:51 PM by MegamiRem

When I saw the announcement I was like yeah as expected, more stacked cast. No though seriously, what a cast lineup.

In terms of content this season will contain more spicy scenes and I hope the studio won't reduce too much cause the art is so good!
