 Publishing company Hakusensha announced a television anime adaptation of Hiroshi Fukuda's Rock wa Lady no Tashinami deshite (Rock Is a Lady's Modesty) manga on Monday, revealing an illustration (pictured) by the author to celebrate the announcement. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025.Fukuda began serializing the music drama manga in Hakusensha's Young Animal in October 2022. The fourth volume was released on February 29, with the fifth volume scheduled to go on sale on July 29. Synopsis At an elite all-girls' academy where refined young ladies gather, Ririsa Suzunomiya, now the daughter of a real estate tycoon after her mother remarried, is forced to abandon her guitar and rock music to fit in. However, her passion is reignited by sounds from the old school building, where she meets a skilled drummer who shares her love for rock. Together, they embrace their inner rockstars, elegantly clashing and shouting their way through the academy in this captivating tale of grace and rebellion. As the number of anime has increased, studios are more desperate to make guaranteed money and any trend is milked to the max. Especially after a number of successful shows. |
