September 7 2012 update: For the past few weeks, I have gotten countless messages asking me how I saw this movie online. If you look at my profile, it clearly says I live in Japan and it is easy to conclude that by living in Japan, I have instant access to anime releases whether DVD release or theater showing.

So far I have only watched the first episode and will expand upon this review as more episodes are released.

This movie takes place within the timeline of the series . Despite that, at this point, I don't think any familiarity with the TV series read more

First Non-Rage review yay.

To start of the Story is good however it only got a seven in my opinion because it for me left a few blanks, for example why if some characters like Malcal/Malkal have a geass is there symbol different to that of Lelouch, Charles, C.C, V.V from the original code geass and even Shin from Akito the Exiled. Are they going to be artificial Geass like Jeremiahs who knows similarly the story seemingly has appeared out of nowhere in my opinion and could of had a bit more introduction however it isn't too bad considering they are technically Movies where after read more

This is my First review on MAL so I decided to review the latest Code Geass.

This is the first episode of a 4 part movies spin-offs based on the Code Geass series and so far it shows that it is a very promising spin-off that will hopfully do the Code Geass franchise justice.

Art and Animation – 10

The animation in this anime is just pure gorgeous eye candy by far exceeding that of the original series, the CGI animation in the mech battles are just incredible, the mecha’s truly feel like metal clashing together and the camera angles give an amazing presentation of balls to the read more

"Did you know that all Elevens are extremely skilled with blades? If you'd like, I can cut your face up here and now".

For the majority of us, we remember the first time we sat down and watched Code Geass, remembering how thrilling it was watching Lelouch take on Britannia, how fabulous Lelouch's gambits were, his stunning chess flaws...it was an enthralling experience to say the least - one that for most of us defined anime.

Those of you who know me know that I'm quite the cynic and heavily skeptical about a lot of things, this was one of them, despite all the hype that the read more

Mecha in 3D graphics, both are part of their respective universe which is kind of similar, has male lead and female lead, both Alexander and Unicorn has same colors, released in the same way each year, epic fights when it comes to mecha, and both animation are brilliant!
Always in the mecha genre , the two movies take part in a set of movies where the main character in both looks different from the others , very combative , they use this difference to their advantage in battle.

After watching both shows, I was reminded of one show next to another due to the fact that they relate to the main story highly related to CLAMP. Akito The Exiled and Tokyo Babylon have a main character whose goal is to protect and save the day unaware of the events coming to them. Similarities between Akito and Shin is similar to Subaru and Seishiro since they are similar characters to other main characters from the main series. Plus characters from the main series appear as well.
cross ange and code geass were both master pieces. except Ange is like the badass girl version while lelouch is the guy badass

there's an outstanding plot for both of them, so if you don't really like me ha, it makes up for it
they both have pathetically trash siblings who are ..oh wow so coincidently crippled both physically and psychologically. and that sibling for both is a girl younger sister, bound to a wheel chair. and they can actually walk in the end only to realize it was actually mental blocks preventing them.

both are intelligent, logical and already stated above .  read more
MC's are similar as well as their relationship with the female pacifists. Great mecha action as well as drama, non mecha action, suspense, and intensity throughout the story. This is another show to add!
Both take place during the storyline of the main story in a different perspective view. The MC's are similar in terms of personality. There are mecha action, drama, intensity, and suspense involved and it's great.
