The overall settings and plot of the series really remind me Code Geass OVA: Akito the Exiled: * discriminated soldiers from another nation/race * spider like mecha/drones * kindly female commander * indoctrinated "republic" * nicknames of both units are related to Ghost/Death

86 is basically a copy of Code Geass Boukoku no Akito: of course, they changed a few things but still have the same taste and feels alike, the same cliche of a Japanese male that goes mad rampage inside a robotic unit and the same main female heroine in the military with similar rank and attitude, Vladilena Milizena (Lena in short) is a copy-paste of Lila Malcal, are a few differences of course but is the same plot in essence just fighting a different enemy, but the main characters are the same with names changed, they just changed how the Japanese are called from Elevens  read more

ATE is said to be CG's version of 08th ms team and is pretty much it's spiritual successor. They take place aside from the main story dealing with a loyal and ruthless soldier who pilots an advanced mecha said to be the strongest of their military to fight against an antagonistic government filled with aristocrats and nobility. Their life begins to change the moment they meet a rich and beautiful girl who hails from a different race changing their point of view. Their team of pilots share in common too with diversity and characteristics once they join. Antagonists of both stories are similar since they are  read more

Code Geass ATE and DTB feature an MC who is badass and is known for their murderous reputation that garners attention of both allies and enemies alike while at the same time has issues that they have to deal with. Likewise the story in both shows deal with sci fi and supernatural elements therefore making it interesting to watch if you find it tasteful. The soundtrack in both show have whats in common: Jazz which is splendidly well done. Artwork and animation is kickass thanks to the budget that was delivered in both shows.

Akito the Exiled and Cowboy Bebop feature Sci Fi elements in a futuristic environment where an MC in both shows have a dark past to overcome before moving on. Not to mention the main cast is similar too as well as the antagonist. Both have jazzy soundtrack produced by none other than the all time great Yoko Kanno and feature badass action sequences. Another note is that both series are produced by Sunrise.

Both are dark stories set off from their main storylines that deal with emotionless and cynical protagonists fighting with evil means for their unjust cause. The difference is FZ is a prequel and CGATE is an interquel.

The MCs in both shows are stoic individuals who fights to go back to the place he calls home as well as cleaning away his tarnished name while facing scorn and hatred for their certain reputation. They later form strong bonds with the main cast later on to overcome harsh trials but must face the dark past that may be beyond something than just mere comprehension. The soundtrack in both shows are identical in terms of the jazz theme and the same applies to the artwork. Nonetheless both are worth watching if you like one or the other.

Aside from the main story, they serve as spinoffs to divulge more into world building and lore by exploring themes of the main stories into a deeper setting. MCs are ruthless soldiers loyal to the government conducting their duties on the battlefield with a powerful mecha that is said to be feared amongst the enemies. Music in both shows contain jazz themes that make the stories much more darker than the other entry. Aside from that, the animation is top notch in a limited series with small amount of episodes.

cross ange and code geass were both master pieces. except Ange is like the badass girl version while lelouch is the guy badass there's an outstanding plot for both of them, so if you don't really like me ha, it makes up for it they both have pathetically trash siblings who are ..oh wow so coincidently crippled both physically and psychologically. and that sibling for both is a girl younger sister, bound to a wheel chair. and they can actually walk in the end only to realize it was actually mental blocks preventing them. both are intelligent, logical and already stated above . badass they use their brains, and  read more

Both stories deal with a war between factions that fight for power and certain situations later on make it go out of control which makes it intriguing and thrilling at the same time. There are a lot of wide cast of characters that make it enjoyable and among all of them is a certain badass that will make you keep watching. In terms of production, animation and artwork is solid A+ in terms of sequences and style while the soundtrack is superb and both are jazzy.

After watching both shows, I was reminded of one show next to another due to the fact that they relate to the main story highly related to CLAMP. Akito The Exiled and Tokyo Babylon have a main character whose goal is to protect and save the day unaware of the events coming to them. Similarities between Akito and Shin is similar to Subaru and Seishiro since they are similar characters to other main characters from the main series. Plus characters from the main series appear as well.

Both shows are OVAs in their respective timelines and in my opinion, they are both awesome. The reason why is because they show a different point of view on a different character rather than the main story, has a much more darker tone, less use of powers (Newtype, Geass), more mecha combat, less romance, and suspense. Akito and Kou are soldiers on a different part of the military and later fall in love with female leads (Leila and Nina) and has a feud with a rival character (Shin, Suzaku and Anavel Gato. The show shows both the main forces fighting an opposing nation (EU Wyvern  read more

Both military, action, hiden romance (depending your view), addictive story, little fantasy, and both are searching the ultimative power: In 07-Ghost, the BlackHawks fight to obtain the Eye of Michail which contains power while the seven ghost with the help of the last throne successor of a fallen kingdom fight to gain peace. In Code Geass, Britania fights for power and most EU + Eleven for a peacefull world to live. In both anime, the characters have special powers: In 07-Ghost, they have the zaiphon power and use antique fighting techniques as swords etc. In Code Geass, they use the geass ability and highly advanced weapons.

Adicted story lines with action and unpredictable endings. Both are created with clever minded scenes full of strategy and slice of fantasy. Death Note is similar to the everyday life and Code Geass is similar to the World War with high advanced weapons. These two anime fight to create a new and bether world with different methods.

Both stories involve the battle of freedom in order to seek their homes and both male and female leads are analogously similar. Code Geass: Akito the Exiled has great mecha action like Wing as well as the story involving drama, intense, and suspense which is something different from Gundam Wing but overall both are great shows!

Both take place during the storyline of the main story in a different perspective view. The MC's are similar in terms of personality. There are mecha action, drama, intensity, and suspense involved and it's great.

Mecha in 3D graphics, both are part of their respective universe which is kind of similar, has male lead and female lead, both Alexander and Unicorn has same colors, released in the same way each year, epic fights when it comes to mecha, and both animation are brilliant!

MC's are similar as well as their relationship with the female pacifists. Great mecha action as well as drama, non mecha action, suspense, and intensity throughout the story. This is another show to add!

Always in the mecha genre , the two movies take part in a set of movies where the main character in both looks different from the others , very combative , they use this difference to their advantage in battle.
