I thought Yoshiki and Hikaru's designs looked a bit plain at times, but other times, they looked good. I did appreciate the anime straying away from the generic, didn't-try-at-all kind of look.
I can relate. I also worry about manga to anime adaptations. Especially after I saw so many bad ones that I just stopped watching anime.

I have heard that anyone can find themselves being part of a cult without realising. That thought is kind of scary. lol
There's a Youtuber I used to follow when I was a teen, and recently, she's been accused of being a cult leader. I think there's even a documentary about her!

I had avoided Q-Force because of its low rating, but when I did try it, I really enjoyed it. But, the voice acting was horrendous! I don't know who Sean Hayes is; I have only seen him in Q-force, but his voice made me want to rip out my ears.

I had watched Miraculous because of all the gay fan art I saw. lol And, damn, that show is awful! Marinette is so bland, empty and boring. She's also a bully, but it's never acknowledged by the story. Instead, she keeps getting rewarded for doing nothing. I think Adrien should have been the protagonist, because he has an interesting backstory and more room to grow. (though, the story never used his potential, and made his sad backstory somehow Marinette's problem!)
Which part was racist, though? I don't think I noticed.

I also try to read things legally as much as possible. But, sometimes, the legal versions just aren't available. The best I can do is buy official versions of things I liked.
though, with that said, a lot of webcomics are actually free-to-read legally. You just need to watch some ads, and I am completely fine with that!

I haven't watched anime in years, i think. Though, I did try "Boy and The Heron," which I didn't like very much. I like Ghibli's art, but I never seem to like their stories. It's like a beautiful boy I wanna get to know, but we don't speak each other's languages.
Oh, what was that terrible anime?

Some anime opening I love is because I heard a cover of it and love it.
They did a lot of older songs which I recognize them, but I don't remember the name.

I have been good. I was in Italy on vacation with my family.

Good you are recovering. I didn't get to watch much last season but Rock is a Lady's Modesty looked really promising from the episode I watched and I am very excited to watch it soon. The only other show that really caught my eye was Witch Watch. I am very excited for this season though, so many season twos for shows I really enjoyed. Gonna be hard to keep up with everything.

Life has been pretty good, found some fun video games and just finished up college for the summer, so I get the next month and a half to catch up with shows, play some games, and do some things in my personal time I have been waiting to do. Excited for free time I can waste away in. I did not travel this summer yet, but will soon fly to visit some friends in a different state here in the US. How about yourself, have you traveled recently or any fun vacation plans?

Yep! While that Arc The Lad anime was a solid adaptation, it missed out a lot of important arcs in part 2. Like the heroes plan to infiltrate Romalia and squash those generals serving that evil king. I would have loved to see more of Iga's fighting get adapted. Yes, that rugged monk (like Bruno or Kenshiro levels of rugged so a martial artist) eventually became archmonk of a temple in the continent of Jiharta where Alek and his posee of drifters paid a visit to him.

Before I completed Arc The Lad 3, I found out that job #85 was a sidequest. It was a tough one because I had to put toys in a order to the NPC's liking in a warehouse before I had to fight monsters. Then I had to catch that criminal who put monsters in said warehouse before he runs away from town. Good thing Duckstation gave me the option to save whenever I want in case I fail that sidequest. The game itself never told me it was a sidequest with vague objectives.

I had to copy every step of moving toys to that NPC's liking from Youtube. That sidequest was as difficult as lightning dodging in FFX. Yeah! Crazy RNG stuff happened.

Yeah! I prefer Joshua Seth a little more as Elk, one of the returning heroes in Arc The Lad 3. That ADR company could have localized Digimon a little better. I also love the fact that Steven Jay Blum did the voice of Iga around the same time he did the voice of Spike Spiegel.

I haven't watched anime of this season and it all depends on its themes, though I may watch Lazarus and others some time.

I also look forward to reading a dark indie comic called Lazarus some time (entirely different story, I know). Yes, I'm still crazy about exploring dark, action-packed indie comics. I'm sure that there are plenty that hold the candle to Batman and The Crow.

I still got plans to explore Megaman on emulators.

Not a complete indie comic, but I would sure want to check out Uzumaki some time. Check that aesthetic different than conventional graphic novels.

I am not sure how I became afflicted with it, it kind of just happens haha. Both of my brothers have it too so I guess it could be a genetical thing ? as for treatments I am not sure, I dont think there is a permanent treatment for it! but it is fine as it is something that can be managed!

Haha fragpunk is kind of like a tactical shooter, so sort of like cs go or valorant if you know of those games? I have stopped playing it however and ive moved on to elden ring nightreign which recently came out!

Haha it is fine, I was very much expecting the adaptation to be bad when I saw which studio was doing it. I didnt even end up watching the beginning after the end, I'm just saw online clips and how many people were trashing it!

Yup I havent read the urek spin off yet, i still need to! Ohhh really? damn good joh yo those guys doing the translating then theyre doing a very good job!

Really? I actually havent heard much criticism from solo Leveling after the anime, if anything ive only heard more praise and how people love the anime! If anything, before the anime came out I saw a lot of criticism from manhwa fans haha, because of how the story isn't much special!

ohhh okay, have you ever spent money on a game? I havent. but omg it can be quite tempting at times!!!

I actually havent watched the previous to be hero's! I heard that you could watch this like straight away so I just started with x and I do not regret a thing!! im still loving it so much!
theres this new Chinese anime also called lord of mysteries which im really enjoying! the animation is top tier, and it's one of the most hyped Chinese anime ever, s2 even got announced before s1 aired! and i heard from the ln community its really good so im super excited for it!

Ohhhh okay, sounds very interesting then. ill add it to my plan to watch, I definitely love music anime though haha!
Yup I liked buddy daddies a lot! just a fun wholesome anime to watxh! and yes the ending song and even opening song i loved quite a lot! sad it won't get a s2 but s1 was amazing with a good conclusion so its okay!

Sorry for the short ish reply and long time to reply! im currently on holiday! i left June 12 and ill be gone until August 12! 2 months because my mother has some business she needs to attend to here!!!

Theres not much to talk about it’s a boring newer version of the old Lilo & Stitch, that makes poorer the original elements and change what dosen’t need to be changed.
I no longer have any hope left for Disney, it’s just disappointment at this point, and it’s fucking sad honestly. A company know for making dreams and people wanting to do movies, beign nothing but a miserable slave of money that don’t have any desire of making pure cinema without think about if is gona make 1 Billion in the box office.
Thank God we have indie comapines and people that support new ideias, because it’s trully one of the poorly period of the cinema, just: sequel’s, prequel’s, spin-off, new versions, remakes, being made and original ideias being trahsed aside for the nex big franchise.
Even the original ideas are being ripped off the creators to become some commercial. I watched Elio and thought: “It’s good, i wonder what could be if the creator didn’t leave production”, and after some time I discovered that Pixars director order Adrian Molina to cut all the references to his chilhood, that as about him being queer. The movie would be about Elio felling diferente for being queer, but they changed to him felling lonely because of his parents death.
It wasn’t a bad movie, Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian they made a good new version, but I want the original idea being animated, Adrian and we desserve to see that first idea, and this new it’s just another fuck you to queer people by Disney, after Win or Lose, The Owl House and many others.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t have a specific problem with non-original works, it's more an issue that we seem to be getting more of them and less new, original ideas. I have some non-original Works like: The Running Man, Predator Badlands, that I want to see and have hope, but honestly newer original movies like: Sentimental Value, Sinners, After the Hunt, Pillion, The Secret Agent, have me more enthusiastic, than John Wick 5.
You can’t talk about hahaha. For me there's not that much to share, just dumb teenagers thinking that being with other person would make them fell completed, but it didn't and they end-up unhappy, besides others being to childish to be with other person or being toxic.
About Karol’s VA, she basic is a Zionist (a person who thinks Israel should steal other people's land’s solely because Jews were exterminated in Nazi Germany), she agres with Israel bombing Palestine and Iran.
It wasn't about one anime in specific, it was about me becoming to turn watching animes in a lesson, instead of a happy thing to do all weaks. Now I’m starting to reprogram this negative feeling of a lesson to be accomplished into a pleasant sensation of watching weekly.
I’m always trying to not let that feeling happen with movies and series, sometimes I pass days without watching for my mind to understand that it’s not a work or lesson, it’s a passion of life that I do beaceusa gives me joy and porpuse of life.
That feeling happened with books and till this day I can’t read a book without feeling pressure to finish soon, but I'm sure that I will return to read books soon.
Disventure Camp Season 2 Remake has me really hyped not gonna lie.
Some of your’s recommendation’s are on my list hahaha.
I made a list f shows and movies to watch on my vacations, the movies lis tis on my Letterboxd, unfortunatel the shows it’s images that can only be share through social medias like twitter. If you want I think I can put all the names on your next conversation.
Don’t worry this list’s are not gonna make me fell pressured to finish, it's more of a guide, if I don't see everything it's no problem, the important thing is to enjoy the works that I'm going to watch.
I’m on vacation, pretty well mentally, a bit laze not gonna lie hahaha.
This past days I have watched movies that were about to leave the catalog of streaming services or services that I was going to cancel, like: Predator, Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, Arrival, Alien, Fight Club, Isle of Dogs, Django, Once Upon a Time in America and other movies from this year like: How to Train Your Dragon, Elio, Ballerina, Homem com H.
For series and animes I have watched/rewatched: I'm in Love with the Villainess , Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan, Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei, Monster.
Right I’m gonna see the movies/animes/series of my lists and watch on cinema: Superman, Fantastic Four, Materialists and Weapons.
Hope you’re doing well, until your next conversation, have a good new month.

Right, I feel like I've gotten pretty good at recognizing voice actors but then sometimes I'll have no clue it was her until I read the cast list. Yeah season 2 was better than the first but they fall into the same camp for me which is a decent popcorn show and that's it. That's right, Crunchyroll is pretty notorious for their awards being a popularity contest more than anything, an example was how last year JJK season 2 won best anime but literally just for the first 5 episodes meanwhile Vinland Saga won nothing. Ninja Kamui turned to trash after the start, I guess people only voted because they saw some cool clips from episode 1 and that's it. But yeah, Girls Band Cry 100% deserved that award.
We'll see in a few days, personally I'm not expecting an S3 announcement right away but I would be happy to be proven wrong. Yeah I don't think I've ever actually seen an M Night Shyamalan movie myself, but he has a very polarizing reputation of being hit or miss with his movies. Chopper's voice in the teaser sounds good, the actress voiced an animal character already in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, so it should be fine.

I continue to praise Oda's commitment to playing the long game, he could've revealed more about the Five Elders a long time ago yet only waited until the right moment to fully reveal them. I remember before they were revealed some people thought they would only play a bureaucratic role rather than being actual direct villains to fight, I'm glad that didn't end up being true. Yeah, JJK S3 will be where my issues with the series really show themselves, where it becomes way more about flashy convoluted fights than telling a proper story.
I feel you on that, it's hard to think that Iroh wasn't always the kind figure he turned out to be and that he was once a hardened war general. I think your interpretation of him and Ozai is correct but still it would be nice to learn more about that, even learning more about the whole family ancestry could be interesting too given how good the episode with Roku and Sozin was. Exactly as you say, there's just so much room to explore, tons of past Avatars we could learn more about whether it be in books or movies.

I heard about the axed manga getting an adaptation as well, which was pretty odd given how many quality manga either never get adapted or get incomplete adaptations, the anime industry's priorities can be quite confusing to me at times. By the way since Kaiju no 8 was mentioned that reminds of the summer season starting, it's going to be seriously stacked lol, what shows have caught your eye?
The Straw Hats I could see staying on the Sunny even after the crew parts ways would be Franky and Nami because their dreams are directly tied to exploring the seas. But yeah, I couldn't imagine Usopp would do the same as Yasopp and ditch Kaya, and Sanji becoming the new head of Baratie would only make sense. As for the others, I'm sure they'll all have their own things to do as well. Well if there's one thing One Piece already has over Boruto it's that the adult designs for the Straw Hats look good. But it's as you say, the series can be milked as much as possible, but please no lame cashgrab sequel that'll only just tank the reputation of the series.
Yeah and something else that's huge which I would hate to be spoiled on, it's similar with Makima's page too with her true identity being shown right in the open with no hidden spoilers or anything. If anything I'd say the anime coming out is not when the spoilers ended but they became even more widespread. And with the leak culture where even manga readers can be spoiled by things now like with JJK or Oshi no Ko, it's so easy to see spoilers even if you're not looking for them. The way Loulan/Shisui was handled was great, there were hints and it wasn't too hard to figure out yet when the reveal actually happened it really tied everything together. S2E23 was great, I loved her final dance and sacrifice, such a fleshed out character I wouldn't have imagined liking so much when she first appeared in season 1.
It doesn't help Dragon's reputation that his voice actor is almost 90 so he sounds like a senior citizen whenever he talks, they even cast a better actor (the voice of Kakashi) for young Dragon who should've just replaced the old one for current Dragon too. No way Lulusia and God Valley are the only 2 countries to be wiped out, I'm curious to learn more about just how many kingdoms suffered the same fate and then were erased from history. I agree that he's an interesting character, I feel with the cast being as big as it is Oda sometimes struggles to give everyone the attention they deserve, and Brook can be a victim of that. I feel the same, Imu's appearance is one of the biggest mysteries I want to see addressed. It would interesting if after how cruel and alien we've seen them behave, if Imu just looks like a normal person. Or maybe their current appearance is how they actually look and we're being tricked into thinking it's a silhouette lol.
Penido0412 Jul 1, 9:41 AM
My favorite was yaiba, I love classic adventure shounens. About summer2025, I think I will watch 10 shows, the ones I am more hyped are kaoru hana and gachiakuta.
matt4249 Jul 1, 8:41 AM
Glad to hear you're doing fine as well.

Ah, I see. Hopefully that ends up being true and you have lots of good stuff to watch this summer!

I'm good. I'm moving next month, so doing lots of preparation for that at the moment. I haven't been watching much anime, but I have been watching quite a lot of movies and deep diving into extreme metal music. Older death metal in particular at the moment. Found a lot of records I really love. Aside from that, work has been keeping me very busy as well. The previous project my team had to work on kind of sucked, but the new one is really cool and interesting and I've been enjoying working on it so far!
spiritdudegamer Jul 1, 4:02 AM
I am liking it a lot . At first i was missing nice , but now each hero has good story and i want all of them to collab together
viraat_pirate Jun 29, 3:40 AM
no worries, i am not interested in politics either, it requires knowledgeable people to figure it out and i am not one of them :p it often causes people to argue so i stay away from it.

that's acheron from honkai star rail and yup i did design the layout thanks!

yeah it'll be a fun hobby to jump into.

yup now with the movies and tv shows dune is definitely one of the more popular ips around right now, i'd imagine there will be more novels in the future as well.
honestly it's best that this happened after she wrapped up the story so people who cares about the story can take over and continue. personally i disagree having too many prequels can contradict the original story and make it less interesting.

that's because most electronics aren't meant to last for years nowadays, they fall apart after a couple years so that you'll need to get a new one.
i don't know much about digimon except for xross wars so i don't know what what wonderswan is. hmm it sounds like they added him there as a reference for the fans who have played the games.
i'd imagine they'll do another legends game but likely not now since they have other projects.

well by keeping hip-hop pure i meant the gatekeepers wants the genre to hold that quality standard where the artist creates something that pushes the genre or at least respects it. well drake respected people but it was fake, he was hanging out with anyone who was popular, the rest is more or less true yeah, there's just a lot of details though.
he was in a car accident iirc he had his jaw restructured and people speculate that this is what messed him up. there's also the theory that kanye being a contrarian is what made people like him originally, back then he was a very progressive person who openly supported LGBTQA+ and talked about racism in early 2000s when the world wasn't as progressive back then but now it's the inverse of that where kanye has became more conservative. i think kanye has just pushed people away from his actions, there's also stuff we don't know about that he does behind the scenes that we don't know about.
i don't think he labels himself as that, he kinda admits it which is why people who like hip-hop hate him since he has fans who doesn't care about the genre and would support any of his actions.
yup there are many creative who used substances to be creative.

yeah i still need to watch the rest of gintama, it's really fun! hmm that might be difficult since didn't they discontinued translating gintama volumes after 40 volumes?

i've been alright thanks! just been busy with life stuff. how have you been?
spiritdudegamer Jun 28, 9:18 AM
Heya !! , are you liking to be hero x ?
SleepySteamBun Jun 26, 10:54 AM
Thank you :) I'm hoping for that too!
Haha yes the summers where I live are very brutal and hot. I'm already anticipating winter.

I wasn't planning to, but I actually went and saw the Evil Eye premiere in theaters with my dad and it was really good! I'm really excited for it to officially come out but now I have to wait an extra 3 weeks to know what happens next haha. But from what I've seen so far I think this season will be amazing. I think they will have a different opening unfortunately :/ the song is already out on YouTube but I will wait to listen to it when it comes out with the actual opening. I'm sure it'll be good though!
Haha you were correct for it being in Fall. Ranma S2 was announced for fall just the other day lol. I'm happy!! I was worried we'd have to wait a lot longer. It's good that it's in fall too because in comparison to summer, there is maybe about 3 so far that I'm really excited for. It's still early but there's really not too much coming out in fall just yet. There are a few anime that still just say "2025" like Witch Hat Atelier and Ganbare Nakamura so I'm hoping those will be placed in fall too.
Yesss Orb was really good. The whole situation with Nowak and Jolenta was heartbreaking for me especially. I loved how the opening changed too. And it was one of those songs that really grew on me. At the beginning I was think eh its okay and by the end I was dancing and put it on my playlist hahaha.
If a season 3 of Blue Lock is announced I'll honestly be pretty excited but just praying they take their time.
Haha I'm glad I was oblivious and didn't really notice with Haikyuu at the time. Thankfully, it was just an outsourcing problem and quickly went back to normal.
Yeah maybe if I had read and was a big fan of the Sakamoto Days manga, I would be more upset with the adaptation. Thankfully though, I hate giving myself expectations and enjoyed the show as it was hahaha. Another reason I barely read any manga!!
Yess I think you'll really like it!

Ohh really? I didn't watch it when it aired so wasn't aware that many episodes were postponed. That's a shame.
That's fair haha. On the surface level Zenshu really doesn't sound all that appealing.
With there being just one episode left, I really hope they stick the landing but I still have a few minor irks. I think there's a bit too many plot points left to be able to satisfyingly close in just one episode but we'll have to see how they handle it. I'm really curious to see how it ends. Why did Skinner do this? And does he even have a cure because he could just be lying. And if he does, how would we be able to get it to everyone with so little time left? I'm hopeful but I'm a bit worried I won't like the ending or it'll feel underwhelming. Overall though, Lazarus was pretty enjoyable. I do think something was missing but I can't quite identify it. I'm not sure if it's the characters that bother me or maybe if I just feel like there should be more action or what. I think maybe another problem for me was how it somehow felt as though they would make progress looking for Skinner but at the same time make no progress at all. I'd love to hear what you think and how we feel once it ends.

The Peach game actually sounds really fun haha. I hope you're able to find it.
Hopefully I'll be able to collect all the stars eventually but I agree, it has been pretty challenging. Can't say I'm really interested in the Switch 2 as of right now either lol. Maybe some day in the far future but I think I'll be okay without it.
Haha yeah no that's super suspicious. They just assume you're a complete idiot or something I guess.
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting the manga is over so season 2 will probably be the end. I'm assuming you've read the manga? Without spoilers, how did you feel about Hell's Paradise's ending? I'm curious to see how that will end too, but I have a feeling it won't be very happy haha.

Yeah I would've liked to see how the characters were doing in a sequel too. It would've been cool to see their lives after everything that's happened. You didn't want Kisa to end up with Hiro? How come?
Haha if Kaiju no 8 went in that direction, then it would definitely feel a lot similar to an Attack on Titan route but I have a feeling that's where it's going especially with there being other sentient kaijus.
I think they will be able to cover most of what's out in the manga with 12 episodes. As a matter of fact, I would be pretty surprised if it's more than 12 or 13 eps. There would have been fewer than 30 chapters out when they started making the anime so it wouldn't really make sense for it to run longer unless they go original, which feels unlikely. Oh really?! If the manga really is about to end then maybe they will put in an ending. Now I'm not so sure but I have a feeling it's going to end somewhere around chapter 25 with roughly 2 chapters per ep. Even if the season doesn't end with a proper conclusion, I hope that some day it all gets adapted.
Yeah I probably wouldn't have watched Kowloon if I didn't have the habit of taking on more than I can handle haha. I don't regret it though. It's been pretty good and it's another anime where I really can't predict the ending.

I don't think anyone behind the scenes WANTED it to fail, but there were definitely a couple of idiots making the decisions that caused production and animation catastrophes. Even if they decided to just air the one episode, I honestly can't compare that disaster to Hoshiai no Sora's situation because at least Uzumaki had source material that viewers could go read if they wanted to see what happened next. With Hoshiai no Sora we will never know and it still hurts to think about...

That's understandable. I will say Vigilantes has been pretty great and a lot better than I thought it would be. But if you're sick of that universe, I understand that you wouldn't want to watch it haha.

It's all good, I don't mind lol. It sure sounds like a lot is going on with various plot points and characters. That was another one of my problems, aside from the fact that I just couldn't stay interested. I wonder, is the world outside the tower ever explored? Or am I mistaken and the entire world is only the tower?

Same here, I like watching Netflix too. Right now I'm trying to finish a couple of movies before they leave on the 30th. Yeah it's pretty frustrating how many things come and go so quickly.
Yeah, while devil is a part timer season 2 was bad, I wasn't that into the story in the first place so I only left a little disappointed. It hurts the most when you were really into the first season or super excited for the sequel. I think my worst ones were definitely Promised Neverland S2 and maybe like One Punch Man S2. Also that Wonder Egg Priority special was pretty bad, especially when half of it was a recap. I remember watching being like what the hell??
Yess I'm pretty excited for Grand Blue too.

That's crazy that it had 24 episodes to be able to completely flesh out all that stuff and give it the proper pacing but still screwed up. That sucks.

Yeah those kinds of topics are really hard to get right sometimes. Sometimes shows and media portray sexist/racist/etc. troupes with an intention but it an also be used unnecessarily. It can be tricky depending on what's going on. And different people interpret it differently too so that's another layer to it.
Yeah, longer ones are easier for me to digest when I stick to one of them at a time. Most recently, I finished Nana and it was honestly way better than I could've expected. I won't spoil anything but I'd like to talk a little about how I felt however, if you don't want to know anything at all, including the tone of the story, then you can skip the rest of this paragraph.
First of all, it had some of the best and most realistic depictions of relationships and friendships I had ever seen. The characters were somehow both unique and quirky but also very real and relatable and every single plot point was compelling. I will say, even though I knew the manga may never be completed, I was hoping the anime ended on a more satisfying note, but I wouldn't say it does. There were many things left unsaid and incomplete but I sense a sort of beauty in it somehow. Kind of like a "life goes on" kind of thing. After I finished the show, I wanted to find out where the manga leaves off and if I'd be able to read some of it without reading up to a cliffhanger. Unfortunately though, I discovered that the manga leaves off in the middle of an arc with a pretty cliffhanger-like chapter so I probably won't read it. I also found out a couple of things that happen after the anime and I am pretty shocked. It somehow gets more depressing and I thought the anime was pretty somber already. Looks like I might never read the manga.

Wow I'm both confused and kinda impressed that they did the first 2 eps as filler for Gintama haha. I guess that's just the kind of show it is but the first ep is arguably the most important in order to try and get people hooked.
Same here, I really wanted to like Platinum End too. I kind of stayed invested in the first half but after that, they completely lost me.
I didn't watch that one but I 100% know what you mean with the trashy and outdated tropes haha. Those ones can be fun sometimes if you just turn your brain off and don't take it too seriously lol. I sometimes have a good time if I do that.
I don't really know what all exactly happens in Oshi no Ko but I do know it uses some uncomfortable and socially controversial topics. I really can't explain it well without giving spoilers but even I don't know how they handle it I just know it's in there. I also know the ending is not well-received, but I'm not entirely sure what that's about.

Haha I'm going to be struggling to keep up too that's for sure, but I am very excited.

Man, that sounds pretty disturbing haha. Definitely not one to read late at night.

Same here! I hope everything's been going well for you too. Let's hope we survive next season with all those shows to watch haha. Until next time :)
