YouTube deleted my channel...again, anyway here's my latest review on Strike the Blood JOIN MY DISCORD SERVER ITS EPIC I rank anime and manga depending on how much I enjoyed it and how good I think it actually is. I also rate as a whole, filler included. In terms of importance: 1. Enjoyment while watching 2. Characters 3. Story 4. Art 5. Sound I won't get technical in terms of score with OVAs/specials/hentai since they're only one or a couple episodes. 10 (9.90-10.00) - Perfect/Near perfection This is something truly different or special. Most of the time it needs to leave an emotional impact on me or just be insanely epic like Gurren Lagann or FMAB. It should have me excited from start to finish. Has maybe one minor flaw like starting off a bit slow or includes some episodes that aren't as amazing and the rest, but everything else is so amazing it deserves a 10. Pretty much everything that I have given a 10 deserves it, the only exception would be Heaven's Lost Property since it doesn't have a conclusion but everything else is perfect so it deserves it. Must watch! 9 (8.90-9.89) - Amazing Has one flaw or a couple minor flaws but is barely noticeable. Maybe it just doesn't have an ending like Baka to Test or Mysterious Girlfriend X, but everything else is just so entertaining. It could also just not have enough to deserve a 10. Still one of my favorites that I look forward to rewatching. Highly recommended. 8 (7.90-8.89) - Great Very enjoyable to watch with some minor flaws. It has noticeable problems in it but most of them aren't too bad unless its just one big one like how the last 2 episodes of Evangelion suck. Recommended. 7 (6.90-7.89) - Very good/Above average The anime is enjoyable with some flaws or one big flaw. Definitely a good/solid show but doubt it has anything amazing in it. Overall very good and entertaining. Recommended. 6 (5.90-6.89) - Good/Ok I enjoyed the anime enough to finish it, has problems but is overall fairly good/decent. I might have some trouble watching 4-5 episodes of it since its nothing special like maybe just a decent slice of life comedy. To be more specific, anything from a 5.90-6.30 I doubt I would recommend, but everything higher I probably would lightly recommend. Recommended only if you have a lot of free time or if you really enjoy the genre, your choice to skip or not. 5 (5.00-5.89) - Meh, "Best of the Worst" This is where I start to drop anime or just watch them during the weekdays since most of them are tolerable enough to finish. I usually want to enjoy it enough to keep watching it and give it a 6 but sadly there isn't enough there to do that. It's flaws sadly overwhelm the good parts in it, and isn't THAT entertaining usually. I don't hate it, I just wish it were a bit better. It's not good enough to recommend, but not terrible. 4 (4.00-4.99) - Bad I did not enjoy the anime, has many flaws and isn't entertaining to watch. Usually has a boring and uninteresting story. I can enjoy some parts of it but still the bad overshadows the good. It could sometimes be a it's so bad its enjoyable sort of thing like Onaru Gorou, OreImo, and Eromanga Sensei, but this usually is no the case. Again, nothing terrible but I can easily say I don't like it. 3 (3.00-3.99) - Very Bad I find these to be usually really boring and uninteresting or just piss me off since they're really overrated and suck like Baccano or Yuri on Ice. Usually slow, more than just bad, I can barely enjoy any aspects of it unless it just looks really good or has a good soundtrack. Most of these would be something I would say I hate except for something like SAO. 2 (2.00-2.99) - Awful I typically hate everything I give a 2. It's just so bad, so boring and so slow. Every episodes feels like I'm watching 3 episodes of it. The only thing keeping it from a 1 is that it has one or two small things that were ok. Also a 1 is for those special shows that are outright appealing. 1 (1.00-1.99) - Unwatchable Something that is one of the worst things I've seen. Absolutely nothing is enjoyable and it hurts to watch. A new level of boring, I hate these shows. It actually pisses me off when I watch these shows. Its also not one of those its so bad its good either. The only exception to 1s would be shorts that suck and deserve a 2-3, but have an extremely low score on MAL that I just want it to get even lower since no one cares for them, but half of the time I'd say those shorts deserve it honestly. 1. Heavens Lost Property I don't think there will ever be an anime that I will enjoy more than Heaven's Lost Property. On a scale of enjoyment, if Heaven's Lost Property is a 10 then Sakurasou, Elfen Lied, and pretty much anything else I have as a 10 would be something like an 8. Heaven's Lost Property is a harem comedy that separates itself from most of the other harems and fixes many of the genre's flaws. First off, it's main male protagonist Tomoki Sakurai is an extremely lovable character who is a super pervert that kept me dying throughout the show. Unlike most harem protagonists, Tomoki is a breathe of fresh air who purposely creates most of the problems in the show due to him being a pervert. The other main characters: Ikaros, Nymph, and especially my all time favorite Astraea are all lovable as well and help my enjoyment of the series. These characters are what keep me loving the show every time I watch it, they are just so entertaining and I love them all. HLP's soundtrack is also on a higher quality than many shows, and especially other harems. The main OST is pretty damn solid but this is one of the rare occasions where every ED is different, meaning that there are over 25 different songs to listen to, and nearly every one is great. In terms of animation, HLP is well animated and stays consistently well overall, but nothing is mind blowing. HLP also handles its story extremely well since it never focuses on its story too much. You can technically cut out a good chunk of the series and be left with a tightly written story, however this would get rid of the attachment to the characters which I would rather not have happen. The only problem I have is that it never ended, and that the last 4 episodes of Forte changed some things from the manga. However, I absolutely love it every time I watch it. I truly believe that this is one of the best animes ever made, and I highly recommend this to anyone, especially those who are a fan of harems or romances. Score: 10.00 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2. Elfen Lied I had no idea what I was getting into before watching Elfen Lied. After viewing it, I had heard mixed opinions on how it was average, bad, good, and also considered one of the best things to come out of anime. Obviously I adore Elfen Lied considering it's one of my favorite anime ever. I love how sad, and dark it can be. The story is so interesting, and kept me hooked from start to finish. It hasn't aged the best from the early 2000s, but it certainly still looks good to this day and I enjoy the art style, especially when compared to the manga. It's OST is both sad and beautiful while also having a great OP and ED. In terms of characters, the whole cast is great with sad backstories, but Lucy stands out the most and is one of my favorite anime characters. Although Elfen Lied is not for everyone, I'd recommend everyone to at least try it out. Score: 10.00 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3. Clannad + After Story This spot goes mainly to After Story but I don't mind putting both season here since I'm of the minority that thinks the original Clannad isn't too far behind After Story. I love both seasons but After Story is clearly the better one. It's as perfect as an anime can get. Yeah, there are two episodes that aren't that great and the unreal fantastic moments don't begin until the ninth episodes but everything afterwards is just that god damn good. Every time I watch those episode I'm amazed at what the series what able to accomplish. The series took risks and had the balls to do some unbelievable things and most of all it always makes me sob into tears. I can't express how much I love this series enough. Clannad is a series where everything great comes together to make something that only happens once every few years or so. It's storytelling is fun, creative, and heartbreaking. The animation is always gorgeous and characters are always fluidly animated. The soundtrack is one of my all time favorite soundtracks in any anime. And maybe the most important aspect is its cast. Everyone is hilarious and has their own unique charms. It's so fun seeing many of these characters interact with each other and just seeing them have fun is always a pleasure to watch. The only problem with Clannad is that it's unfortunately not for everyone. It's melodramatic, on the slow side and it really doesn't help that its first arc is the weakest of the first season. That being said you'll be rewarded for completing all of it which is why I can't recommend it enough to the few people out there who still haven't seen it. Clannad - Score: 9.75 Clannad After Story - Score: 10.00 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the best anime of all time, and of course I'm not the only one who thinks this either. FMAB is fantastic from start to finish, every episode is amazing with it's lower moments only being at worst great. There are endless amounts of enjoyable and lovable characters like Edward, Mustang, Louis Armstrong, Hawkeye, and so many more that kept me entertained throughout the entirety of its run. It's soundtrack is also extremely well orchestrated and includes a lot of enjoyable OPs and EDs especially ones like Ray of Light, Let It Out, Again, and Rain. Studio Bones also decided to go overboard, even for their standards, and gave us a beautifully animated show which includes fight scenes that had me screaming and freaking out many times. Finally, Brotherhood probably has the best story out of any anime that kept me hooked, especially the last arc, The Day of Reckoning, which is my favorite anime arc of all time. While I really enjoyed the original FMA, infact I loved it so much especially on a rewatch that its in my top 30 currently, but despite that it still had its problem most notably its bizarre and unsatisfying ending. Brotherhood has no problems and all you can do is nitpick and point out some small things that the original did better which is not that much overall. Its just a masterpiece and is considerably better in almost every way. However, although FMAB is considered the absolute best anime in my opinion, it is not necessarily my all time favorite since I prefer three other anime that I am attached to more on a personal and emotional level per say. Brotherhood might end up being my second favorite anime in the future and it, Elfen Lied, Clannad After Story, and Sakurasou are all perfect 10s. Ranking one above the other is near impossible to do but if I had to choice I'd say Brotherhood just doesn't give me the feels that Elfen Lied and After Story do although I still scream at the top of my lungs and lose my mind during two scenes with Mustang, you all know which ones I'm referring to. Score: 10.00 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5. Pet Girl of Sakurasou The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is pretty much perfect. Personally I consider it to be one of the best anime ever made, and I honestly have no problems with it. Sakurasou provides an extremely well done and written story that is filled with an amazing cast of characters. All of the main characters are lovable and enjoyable, and are easily the show's strongest point. JC Staff is usually good with its animation but this is easily their best looking anime by far and it looks gorgeous. The soundtrack is also great and includes 3 catchy OPs and 2 EDs. I'm honestly confused as to why this isn't in the top 20 anime on MAL since it definitely deserves it. Currently Sakurasou is my fifth favorite anime but there were times it was my second, then third, fourth and now fifth. Numbers 2-5 of my favorites are all extremely hard to rank since I love all of them equally and its really down to splitting hairs to tell the difference. It also doesn't help that out of these four I haven't Sakurasou the longest out of them so maybe once I rewatch it again and its fresh in my head I'll raise it up again. Then again, once I do the same for the others it could come back down. Either way I still adore this series and everything about it. This is a must watch for everyone, especially to those who are a fans of drama, comedy, and romance. Score: 10.00 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6. Gurren Lagann Gurren Lagann is widely praised among the anime community, and there is a reason for it. I consider Gurren Lagann one of the best anime ever made. First off, Gurren Lagann's animation is phenomenal, Gainax really outdid themselves with the series. The art style looks amazing and every action sequence is stunning and mind blowing. It's soundtrack is just epic and contains so many unforgettable songs. Of course, its story is also fantastic and is filled with a great cast of characters, including Kamina, which is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. Gurren Lagann is a crazy action packed anime that is beautiful to look at while jamming to its crazy beats. I recommend this to everyone. Score: 9.96 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7. Toradora From the very first episode down to the last minutes Toradora is nothing short of a banger. It's obvious but Toradora is just extremely fun to watch and the best part is that it only gets better as it goes on. The first few episodes are a great way to start the series but then once Ami joins the cast things really pick up and get interesting. After that the arcs and story get really juicy and I'm always hooked every time I watch it despite knowing what happens on rewatches. The cast is great and I love Ryuuji, Ami, Taiga, Minori and even Kitamura is pretty damn fun although I'm not gonna lie, he's easily the least interesting out of the five main characters. But still Toradora's characters are a key part of what makes the series so damn great and fun; the chemistry between these characters is so interesting and I love seeing what happens next. I love seeing everyone develop and by the end of it I always start to miss them. This is also by far one of JC Staff's best looking series, if not Toradora then Sakurasou takes the award for best animation and overall look. The character designs are awesome to say the least. They might not be super impressive but they all just look so pleasing to look at, they all have a sort of soft and simple appeal that I just love. As for animation it's also pretty great for a majority of the time and can sometimes look really REALLY good during a few scenes that I can think of. There's also the soundtrack which is also great, both EDs and OPs always get stuck in my head every time I listen to them and a lot of the background music is really nice as well. My only tiny nitpick I have is that while still a complete series with a great ending, I feel that the second half of the last episode is a bit forced and could've been much better. It's a common trope with romances and it works well here but I always feel like those last ten minutes could've been spent and used a lot better. But at the end of it Toradora is still fantastic from start to finish, this is and will probably always be one of my all time favorites! Score: 9.92 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 8. Hunter x Hunter (2011) I really enjoyed Hunter x Hunter 99, however 2011 took everything I liked and turned it into something amazing. Madhouse went beyond their limits and made every episode look great for an anime that aired weekly for 3 goddamn years straight which is outright unheard off. Besides the animation getting an increase in quality, the pacing is also improved and nearly every episode goes by as if it were half the length of a normal episode. I easily watched more or less 10 episodes per sitting, it's just that entertaining. As for the series itself, its tightly and well written. There are so many interesting and creative concepts like Nen, Heaven's Arena, Greed Island, the Chimera Ants, and so much more. Every arc is at worst great, and while not every moment is amazing, the shear amount of consistent quality found throughout this show is insane which is something I sadly can't say for Togashi's previous work: Yu Yu Hakusho due to the final arc. The only main problem I have with Hunter x Hunter is that it's never going to end due to the manga always being on hiatus. While that does suck, what we got and what we have now is just so amazing that a small complaint like that is doable. I'm not sure whether or not you should watch 99 or 2011 first but I do recommend viewing 2011 over 99 easily. Score: 9.69 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 9. Konosuba As someone who hates the absurd amount of garbage isekai that gets dumped out every season and every year I have so much appreciation for Konosuba. I don't like the genre in general probably due to the amount and quality of most of them but I do enjoy some such as Slime, Devil is a Part Timer, and most notably Re Zero which is in my top 50. But as for Konosuba, it shits on the genre and manages to keep me laughing my ass off episode after episode. Even before watching I new I was going to get a lot of enjoyment out of Konosuba but I still had no idea I'd love it this much. The show wastes no time at all and by the start of episode 3 all 4 of the main characters are together and that's where the series shines the best. It basically feels like a better version of Baka & Test where the cast is so damn good and entertaining that it doesn't matter what's actually happening in the show. You can have Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Lalatina dick around in their mansion for an entire episode or you have them destroy one of the Devil King's generals and either way the episode will be a blast. Because of this, Konosuba can move at whatever pace it wants and I could care less where it goes just because of how hilarious this show is. I've been giving a lot of praise and that's for a reason, there isn't much to complain about here. The biggest complaint I have is that currently the series has only 10 episode seasons along with 2 OVAs that are also fantastic, but the length leaves more to be desired. There is the new movie which came out but it isn't dubbed yet which is why it took so long to watch Konosuba. Thankfully those years of waiting payed off big time which honestly I can't say for most dubs despite me liking and preferring them. The dub of Konosuba is easily one of the best dubs in years. You can tell that both main and supporting characters are having the time of their lives while recording their lines. Crunchyroll is very new when it comes to dubs but I pray that they continue to dub anime and keep the quality that they've done for Konosuba. But yeah there is a shit ton to love about this series and I hope that we'll continue to get more from this series in terms of anime. The movie is also epic because it has futa cock in it! Score: 9.68 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 10. The World God Only Knows The World God Only Knows is considered one of the best harem animes and even redefined the genre. First off, the main character Keima Katsuragi is not only a good main harem protagonist which is not easy to come across, but is honestly a fantastic character that I rank in my top 10 favorite anime characters of all time. Another one of its strong points is that this is technically a harem, but is rarely feels like it, at least during the first 2 seasons. It's jokes are also genuinely funny and don't include typical boob groping or events that lead in a big misunderstanding that ends with tsundere slapping the main character in the face. Another difference would be that GOK has 3 seasons and some OVAs which add up to 40 episodes. Basically God Only Knows is not your typical harem which is why it works so well. It's just an extremely enjoyable and entertaining show that is filled with lovable characters that feel real. The story follows Keima who is a gamer who wants nothing to do with the real world but is forced to purify the evil souls trapped inside real girls. The story just works so well and is divided into many different short arcs that show off many of the series great characters. In terms of the art, the animation is good but nothing mind blowing. However, the character designs are so damn look to look at and every character just looks amazing. I love this art style, and it works so well since the visuals are colorful, smooth and clean. The soundtrack is really good, but the OPs and EDs are all great. Mostly I tend to only listen to the OPs, EDs, and all the character songs since there are like 60 of them I believe. The only complaint I have with the anime is that it did not adapt some important arcs from the manga, and did not have a fourth season which would have wrapped up the series perfectly if they continued to faithfully adapt from the manga. This is a must watch for any fan of the harem genre and for those who just want to watch a great anime. Season 1 & 2 - Score: 9.32 Season 3 - Score: 9.73 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 11. Code Geass Code Geass is epic, fun, and filled with hype moments that had me laughing out of how crazy and insane they were. It takes a lot to make me scream and be this excited for a series but Geass manages to do this for more than 90% of its run time. While it is great and crazy a lot of the time, there are some moments that aren't too great but lucky these weaker parts aren't too long and don't take up much time at all, infact these are probably minor nitpicks but without them Geass but have been able to reach my top 10 easily. Besides its story, Code Geass easily has one of the best protagonists of all time which is of course Lelouch. There's a reason he is the character with the most favorites on this site. He's everything I could ask for from a main character and honestly I think one of the main reasons I love him so much is because his English VA, Johnny Yung Bosch, does a fantastic performance with every line of dialogue. Johnny is easily my favorite anime VA and this is his best work to date. Yes, I love him as Ichigo in Bleach, Vash the Stampeded in Trigun, Kitamura in Toradora, and his other smaller roles but he goes all out here as Lelouch. His speeches, his screams, his laughter; all of it is fantastic and gives me chills. Besides Lelouch, the rest of the cast is still pretty great but none of them come close to matching his quality. As for the art, the overall look of Geass is amazing. The animation may look limited and still at some moments but even when those instances occur the sleek character designs and well drawn close ups just look too damn good that it doesn't even matter if it's just a still shot. The fights in the mechs all look great and top notch and it doesn't surprise me since Sunrise is typically good with their fight scenes and animation. Geass English dub is great and is in the top 10, or probably top 5 just because of Johnny playing such a big role. Its soundtrack is very orchestrated heavy ad thankfully every song is great. There are some really good hits like Love is Justice and also some brilliant vocals like Continued. I'd probably rate the sound aspect of Geass a 10 if I ever made a full review but I'd just be praising it the entire time which I find hard to write while making it interesting. Overall Geass is great in every single area and has remained a classic for years. The reason for this is probably because of its ending. I forgot to mention but Geass just feels like a much better Death Note, mainly because DN's second arc was leagues worse than its first and because of the ending which I really do not like. Geass' ending isn't good, not great, it's actually insane and probably perfect. This is easily one of the best anime endings out there and stands next to Brotherhood's, Ashita no Joe 2, Cowboy Bebop, End of Evangelion, and I'd probably say Elfen Lied too. The last couple episodes go above and beyond and still had me lose my mind and than the ending hit which is incredible. For those who still haven't seen Geass you must watch it, it's that good. R1 - Score: 9.20 R2 - Score: 9.67 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 12. A Lull in the Sea A Lull in the Sea is fantastic. Just like with Sakurasou, I knew I was going to love this before I even watched it and of course I did. This show is amazing in every way which isn't easy to accomplish. The art is just amazing. The backgrounds look beautiful, everything is drawn with love and care and there are so many details and designs that I'm a huge fan of. I just really love all the small details that help bring this show to life and make it feel so distinct from a lot of other animes. I could go on and on about the backgrounds for hours but I think you get the point. Besides that, all of the characters are visually pleasing to look at, and the animation itself is consistently great. A Lull in the Sea's cast is what makes the show for me. All the main characters are great, entertaining, and get a lot of development throughout the 26 episodes. However, the most important aspect of the characters would have to be their relationships which is a key part of the story. There are themes such as change, family, acceptance, and many more that are found found throughout the show. Finally there's the soundtrack which is fantastic. I've listened to the character songs countless times, the OP and EDs are great, and the OST is something special. I love the melancholic tunes, the upbeat ones, and just the entirety of the soundtrack. A Lull in the Sea is a rare gem that succeeds in nearly every way possible. Even if you aren't a fan of drama, love triangles, and romance in general I would still highly recommend this to everyone. Score: 9.50 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 13. Kanon (2006) Kanon is one of the most solid animes out there, and sadly not enough people give it the praise and respect it deserves. This is easily one of Kyoto's best works and I have no problem calling it a classic. Kanon still looks great to this day, every episode is fluid, colorful, vibrant, and the direction, lighting, backgrounds, and everything else look top notch. Usually one complaint that people bring up is that Kanon is way too slow or even boring and while Kanon is a slow show, especially during the first 6 episodes or so, I have no problem with that. This is because these episodes focus on introducing its lovable cast of characters while also setting up some plot points like the tease of Mai and Shiori's arc. I love the way it's structured in general since it just eases you into the series and then decides to start taking a deeper look at its characters. None of the arcs are bad whatsoever, and all of them are about the same in terms of quality more or less. But of course, the series' strongest point is it's soundtrack. Just hearing some of these melancholic songs makes me struggle to not cry. This is definitely one of the best and saddest anime soundtracks out there and it really helps push these emotional scenes in the show. Sadly, Kanon is not for everyone due to it's slow pacing and very melodramatic tone, but for what it does, it does amazingly. Score: 9.42 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 14. Karin Watch video for full review Score: 9.37 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 15. High Score Girl (Season 2) Well just like with the second season of Mob Psycho 100 season 2 I didn't expect this at all. I've seen most of the great shows from last year (2019), but after watching season 2 of High Score Girl, this is my anime of the year for 2019. I loved the first season yet season 2 dials everything up to an 11. Everything great from before continues from its entertaining story to its lovable cast. I'll admit I'm a sucker for rom coms, and also love the setting of the series being in the 90s, it just gives off a nostaligc feeling which I don't have. The same applies with Street Fight; I've never played a single one of the games yet the series is able to get me immersed and exciting whenever on its screen even though I don't know what's going on most of the time. I like that the series is getting some amount of praise but I still believe this is going to be known as a hidden gem for years to come, definitely a classic for me. Besides the cast, and story, High Score Girl actually has an ending unlike other favorites of mine such as Baka & Test, and yeah it's not perfect, but it's honestly pretty good. I would've liked to seen a bit more closure but again it's a solid ending. The only complaint I can understand is the animation or more specifically the CG. JC Staff is sadly not what they used to be as of lately but honestly I didn't mind the CG. Yeah, its no Land of the Lustrous, Beastars, and CERTAINLY no Promare but its still isn't bad besides some occasions which I can brush off. Besides the CG, the pixel art is great, its always able to get me immersed into the show. Overall, I can't recommend High Score Girl enough, it's one of my new favorite shows in recent years and I look forward to rewatching it in the future. Season 1 - Score: 8.65 Season 2 - Score: 9.36 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 16. The Quintessential Quintuplets (Season 2) Watch video for full review Score: 9.26 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 17. Baka & Test Baka & Test is another one of my personal favorites that I can't help but love despite some of its flaws. There are two main aspects that help the series strive which is its cast and its comedy which only makes sense for a mostly comedic series with some romance thrown in there. I really only have some small nitpicks with the cast being that Kouta and Himeji while still really fun are notably worse than some of the others like Hideyoshi, Aiki, Minami, etc. But besides that Baka's cast is amazing; it's really hard to pick a favorite but for now its Minami followed by Hideyoshi. Yuuji, Aiki, and Shouko are contenders as well. As for the comedy, it's hilarious, definitely a top 10 anime in terms of comedy. I've heard some complaints that the series reuses the same jokes too many times but I think Baka manages this really well. Yes, at the core of it the jokes are the same but they almost always manage to use those jokes in different ways. All the Hideyoshi jokes come down to him being seen as a girl but there are so many different jokes that are made because of it. I get it, comedy is subjective and not everyone will have the same taste as me or fans of the series and thats fine. Some series aren't made to appeal to everyone, I mean just look at tons of harems and isekais out there. Besides its cast and comedy there isn't too much to talk about besides one major flaw which is it's ending or lack there of. Baka is one of the many series that never got a third season but even if Silver Link expected to make another season its really frustrating to go from episode 8-11 and then go to the last 2 episodes. Those episodes are the peak of the anime so it's bizarre going from those to two solid episodes that don't feel like a finale at all. It's something I dread every time I watch Baka and it even makes me question if I should bother with it again. But all in all, I still highly recommend Baka & Test despite its lack of ending. Score: 9.19 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 18. My Bride is a Mermaid Watch video for full review Score: 9.17 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 19. Kill la Kill Kill la Kill is epic, over the top and just amazing. Created by the same team that brought us Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill proves to be another hit that I loved. Although I prefer Gurren Lagann over Kill la Kill, it is certainly by a short amount since GL doesn't have the main girl half naked during every fight. Like with many animes in my favorites, Kill la Kill is no exception to having a great soundtrack. Actually, this is easily a top 10 anime soundtracks for me. Kill la Kill is Studio Trigger's first full length anime and their animation is insane, easily 10/10 in terms of animation. The style is striking and everything just looks so damn cool. Just like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill is filled with hype moments that had me freaking out and cheering. While there isn't anyone that comes close to Kamina in terms of likability, the show includes a number of great characters such as Ryuuko, Mako, Gamagori, and plenty of others. Of course, Kill la Kill's story is extremely entertaining as well, even if the second half is noticeably stronger than its first half. Still, I consider Kill la Kill a fantastic anime that everyone should watch. Score: 9.16 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 20. Love Chuunibyou and Other Delusions Chuunibyou is a weird series to rank in my favorites. If I were to rank the first season alone, it would probably be my 8th favorite anime but sadly the second season is noticeably weaker than the first but thankfully wasn't another Haruhi season 2. To sum it up, going from season 1 to 2 isn't as bad as people may say but you have to look at it in a certain way. You are pretty much going from an amazing season to a great one, at least for me. The first season of Chuunibyou is outright amazing and I love nearly every minute of it. Its cast of characters are so lovable and Rikka is even one of my favorite anime characters since she's so weird and hilarious. The series uses the chuunibyou concept and goes all out which is why it stands out from so many other shows. There really are very few shows like this. The first season had no dull moments while the second some some minor downsides to it. Another one of its high points is that Kyoto animated the series which is why all the backgrounds look amazing and why all of the characters are animated so damn well. The soundtrack is also really good, both OPs and EDs are really catchy. Although Season 2 had a weaker story and less character development than the first season, it's still Chuunibyou so of course I had to love it. Finally, as for the movie finale Take On Me, while its in my top ten favorite anime movies, I'd say it's not as good as other may say it is. Yes, it is an improvement over the second season but I feel its overall bittersweet. Honestly, it didn't feel like a finale but more like an extra that lead to something else. Overall, the film is still great and I really enjoyed it but don't go into it thinking it's the best part of the series. Oh, ok.
Do you gonna do a review of "Makeine"?
There is no goods animes in this season. You can try with "Elusive Samurai" and that is all.
I saw only few episodies of the next series and this my firts impresion:
"Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian": The same romantic- slice of life with one russian.
"Days with My Stepsister": Sweet home alabama taken serious
"Pseudo Harem": Man, OMG, i am in the 3 episode and there is nothing at it. Is only one guy SPEAKING with the other girl all the time, with the trick the girl is a actress and imitates the tipical animes girl topics (Tsundere, Dedere, Kuudere etc.). Not even a secondary character has appeared, nothing.
"2.5 Dimensional Seduction": Cheap version of "My Dress-Up Darling"
"My Deer Friend Nokotan": The typical absurd comedy anime, so far It hasn't given me many laughs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DloxuSM5SJI
This is this season.
Also, congratulations for watch 2000 animes. Quite an interesting achievement.
I said to you now, Wano is good, but i think so is no the best.
Uff Impel down is very good and Dressrosa is pretty nice but you have to know that there is a lot of filling lol.
Hopefully you like Wano and also Egghead is pretty good. I like so far.
