'Arknights: Reimei Zensou' Reveals Additional Staff, Cast, First Promo

The official website of the Arknights: Reimei Zensou (Arknights Animation: Prelude to Dawn) television anime revealed additional staff, cast, opening theme, a promotional video and key visual (pictured) on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to broadcast on October 29 at 1:23 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by TV Osaka, BS11, and Animax.

ReoNa (Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld 2nd Season) is performing the opening theme "Alive," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Yuuki Watanabe is directing the action anime at Yostar Pictures. Masataka Nishikawa (SSSS.Dynazenon animation director) is the assistant director.

The action television anime is based on Hypergryph's Arknights smartphone game, which was released in May 2019 in China and other countries the following year. Hypergryph announced a spin-off game, Arknights: Endfield, for PC and mobile in March 2022.

This season seems to adapt the first 4 chapters (Chapter 0~3) directly from the game. So we will get to see all the characters that are shown in the post above. We should also see Talulah, Patriot and Frostnova as per chapter 1 but I don't see any credits for them. Maybe they will add some guest appearances too, giving us insights who were at Rhodes at the time.

Was sort of expecting for doctor to have an androgynous voice, the trailer looks cool. Anyhow the game this is based on is kind of boring but the plot seemed kind of cool when I actually bothered to read the in game texts. The anime doesn't seem to have the characters I liked when I briefly played the game though.

So they ended up giving the MC a female VA that voices the male characters so they sound as androgynous as possible and you can't start complaining about the "wrong experience"? An interesting decision.
