'Arknights: Reimei Zensou' TV Anime Announces Cast, Staff Members
The Arknights 2nd Anniversary Livestream event revealed the first key visual (pictured above), cast, and staff for the television anime adaptation—Arknights: Reimei Zensou (Arknights Animation: Prelude to Dawn)—on Sunday.
Yuuki Watanabe (Plastic Memories animation director, Kiznaiver ending director) is helming the anime. Masataka Nishikawa who worked with Watanabe on Kiznaiver, Little Witch Academia, and SSSS.Gridman, is serving as the assistant director. Both Watanabe and Nishikawa also worked on Arknights promotional videos and the Holy Knight Light short net anime.
Hypergryph, the developers behind the Arknights smartphone game, announced last October that the anime's first season is being produced by Yostar Pictures.
The event also revealed that Takashi Matsuyama (Tennis no Ouji-sama, Peace Maker Kurogane) will be voicing the character Ace in the anime.

About time.
Seeing so many of certain characters in the art makes me dread a possible rushed story though.
I hope not.
What I saw among the character designs did not differ much from Azur Lane by the same publisher.
You didn't see much then.
Azur Lane is 100% waifu game and very fanservice-y.
Arknights, despite not having many males (about 1M:4F ratio), has quite a bunch, and the design are very very tame in comparison to most other games. Probably the tamest anime styled game I have ever seen ever.
Like, the most you could find is that like 10 characters (out of 200+) may have gotten a swimsuit skin in the span of two and half years. And the swimsuit themselves are still very innocent and tame.
And the plot itself? Serious and not about fanservice at all.
Depends on the characters. The main characters are pretty pure by anime standards.

Don't tell me that I was right and they really gave the MC a female voice to emphasize their androgyny.
Its so that the fanbase don't feel threatened by a male presence.
We cant have jpegs saying stuff like "I love you" to other males. Its bad for the game.
Well, MC are almost canonically genderless, so I think they could very well have gone that way than making them female.

Is it safe to say that this anime will be ecchi?
Not all Gacha games are trashy lol. Arknights lore and story are normal, dark-mysterious. It will be a good watch if you haven't played the game/Pacing is right
So ecchi = trashy? What I saw among the character designs did not differ much from Azur Lane by the same publisher.

I hope they will cover it all.
Maybe it'll take at least 100-300eps
But even 500episodes of masterpieces are better than 12 episodes of briefing more than a hundred chapters "the god of high school" .
Important note: I am a big fan of it's manga.
